Recover Sha'ni's Nose-Ring from Krom'Grul and return it to Thal'trak in Kargath. Search the various caves and mines in Dreadmaul Rock.

Description

My whole platoon was captured, <name>. All were slain - except me.

Their leader, Krom'Grul, wanted to save me for some sort of ritual.

I was chained to this altar and brutalized by the beast. My physical being ceased functioning after an hour of this torture. The beast then ripped my wedding nose-ring off of my face and stuck it on his finger. I had never seen such savagery!

Find Krom'Grul and kill him! Take my ring back to Thal'trak.

And <name>, tell him that we will meet again... in another life.

He wanders around the Ogre area. First check the cave at the foot of the hill, then walk over to your left and around to the cave on the other side. You'll run into him in either of the 2 caves or in between them.

For all the confused people, (like I was) here you go.

1. YOU need to go to the path at 78,34

2. Follow the path upwards (east) until you see a cave on your right, at 83,38.

3. Enter the cave. (83,38)

4. Turn RIGHT (down the skinny piece of map.)

Krom'Gul should be at 79,47 or near there inside the cave. That is where I found him at.

If you don't have cords, you better get some.

I have done this quest at least twice and found him in different caves. The second time I did the quest he was exactly where EvilGrinUK described, but someone killed him before I did. I waited for him to respawn, hoping he would respawn in the same spot, but he did not. He respawned in the same cave, but in a different location ... way in the back. The first time I found him he was in the cave on the opposite side of the mountain. You can use a macro "/target Krom" to help. Respawn time is your typical 5 minutes, or there abouts.

So I was having some trouble finding this guy like some do, and after reading a bit I found him like this...

I Made a macro to target him. /target Krom'Grul

Then because I'm a priest, I mind vision from guard to guard clicking my target macro till I target Krom. Then Mind vision him and find out where he is.

To other classes I hope the target macro helps you.

--For me, Krom was in the cave that is on the northern most side of the mountain. at the fork inside, where you can go left, straight or right, he was down the left eastern most one in the big room with the water flowing to the center. He was in a small little cave on the right side of the room being blocked by another ogre.

There are three caves. The top one is where u get the quest, the middle is just ogres. On the bottom cave on the west side of the mtn is where u find him

I was also wondering why I couldn't hand the quest in, he walks around, the yellow question mark appears idicating you can turn the quest when he walks to a spot near the campfire and stands there, then you can hand in the quest =)

I found him in the northerst cave. The entrance of the cave is 83,30 for those that use coords.Krom was standing at 81,47 (inside the cave of course) with 2 more ogres around him. He is 54lvl and the other 2 where 52. I did it as a 52 warrior and it was hard. Just kill him and take the drop.

I dont know if he spawns in other spots, i just found him there. Good luck! I hope the screenshot helped.

He spawns completely random, you have to visit cave to cave to find him. I'm Hunter, so keep in mind that you don't have to kill everything in order to find him, just tack humanoids and look at the dots on your map, he will shown as "Krom'grul" in the minimap.

Fast and easy for me... he was in the bottom cave (accessible from the south west of the mountain), in the same spot that ALL ogre bosses are in of that cave layout (think Mind's Eye, etc etc).&nbsp 54 guy with a 51 guard.

And don't bother going back up to the top to cash in teh quest - you return it to Kargath.&nbsp :p

It's the cave at 76,48, on the west side of the mountain. I just talked to her ghost, then ran west for like 5 seconds, through a small cleft full of imps and off the side of the cliff, healed, drank, and went int othe cave. Pretty simple.

He definitely spawns in at least 2 places.&nbsp I tracked him down in the big cave on the east and just as I was about to slay the bastard a farmer jumped in and got him.&nbsp I then spent the next HOUR fighting for survival in there, enduring wave after wave of repops... waiting for his return in vain.

So I went around to the smaller cave at the bottom.&nbsp There he was in the back.&nbsp Soloed him and his guard with my lvl 51 frost mage.&nbsp Finding him was much harder than killing him.&nbsp I got about 2/3 through level 51 just killing ogre after ogre after ogre... wondering why the guy wouldn't repop.

I've just found Krom Grul standing with his face buried in the cave wall, evading everything although I am standing right next to him.

Methinks the quest is FKD !

i have got the ring off Krom'Grul and have made my way back to the corpse on top the mountain and get can summon the troll ladies in order to complete the quest and get that sweet sweet exp. any reason?

Entered lower cave on the South face of the mountain, turn left as you enter, was in that deadend there.
You can kinda tell if you're close if you can do /target krom and have him select.

Above someone asked y cant they turn the quest in to the troll lady and the reason is u dont turn it in to her! You have to go back to the Badlands and turn it in to the troll that gave u the quest.

Found him (weird) not at the end of the western cave , but in the middle of the cave kinda , cords 83.45 .

Some tips:
* As far as I can tell, there are only 2 caves he can spawn in, not 3. On the map it looks like 3, however the 'centre' cave is actually a very small cave mouth on top of the mountain (near where you start).
* If you use /target, you can get a annoying error where you'll have him targeted in the bottom/western cave, but he's actually in the top/eastern cave.
* The eastern/top cave is quite large and farmed a lot, so be on guard for PvP.

he is in a cave. the entrance to the cave is at 83,39. once in you will find 3 ways to go, left, forward and right, go left and hes down there with a body guard.

I used Mind Vision and hopped from target to target within each cave until I located him. That was far less frustrating than physically going through each cave to find the jerk.

I cleared out the southwest cave 3 times, waiting for a spawn at the end of the cave (an allie was in there first). Didn't happen, so went and had a look in the northern cave, found him straight away. As you enter, take a right at the Y intersection. (left side of minimap) And he is right there, not far in at all. About 4 orge in.

did as a 52 hunter - hit track humanoids when i was in about the middle of the bottom cave (75,48) and he came up on my minimap at 78,41(inside the cave) easy kill.

Just want to mention that I didnt find him going in through the northern enterence - after clearing the northern cave I took the enterence to the south/west (all at the bottom) and found him quite quick (not far in)...

Krom'Grul is in one of the caves in Dreadmaul. Go to the north side and take the cave enterance there. Follow the left wall in and about half way down the cave he's there. Cosmos loc is 84, 45.
