Find A-Me 01 in Un'Goro Crater.

Description

Unfortunately, something's happened to one of my greatest inventions. You've seen mechanical squirrels, yes? Well, to get closer to the apes of Un'Goro Crater, I created a mechanical ape to blend in with their kind--I call her A-Me 01.

She has scrying gems for eyes so I could see everything she saw. She made it to Fungal Rock--the apes' lair--just east of here, and that's when I lost contact. The last thing I saw was one of their alpha males rushing up to say hello to her!

Can you help me find her?

First, get a Mithril Casing from an engineer or from the Auction House. They usualy go for around 2 - 5 gold. You'll need this to finish the quest.

Next, go to a level 49 dwarf female: Krana Remtravel in Un'Goro Crater, shes at 46.13. Take the quest from her.

Then you are going to find A-Me 01 (a robot monkey). She is in the Fungal Rock (in Un'Goro crater), Cords to Fungal Rock are 63.17.

Go inside the Fungal Rock and take the first turn to right, then you'll find her. She'll need the Mithril Casing to work.

Use the Mithril Casing on A-Me 01 and she will start to work. Follow and defend her, she will take you back to Krana Remtravel at Marshal's Refuge.

If you fail to defend A-Me 01 you don't need to buy a new Mithril Casing.

  • 4 You can get a Mithril Sprout from a engieneer or from AH they usualy sell these for 2 - 5 gold.
  • 5 When you have the Mithril Sprout go back to Fungal Rock in Un'Goro Crater, use it on A-Me 01 then she will start to work. Follow and defend her, she will take you back to Krana Remtravel at Marshal's Refuge.
If you fail to defend A-Me 01 you don't haft to buy a new Mithril Sprout.

For those who do not know where fungal Rock is, it is at 61.16
For those without a coordinator, NNE, the only cave on your map that is in that area.

The place is guarded by Gorillas, So I suggest you also pick up the quest "The Apes of Un'goro" From the quest giver at 71.6, 76.0 if you are high enough level (I am level 52 and it is orange, but the mobs seem to be yellow to me.)

also be warned, if you do not kill the gorillas fast enough they will pound their chest for help sometimes and more gorillas will attack you

I think all the nintendo comments are funny and great and all...but here is something about the quest that you need to know:
Bring a Mithril Casing with you!
The Amie gorilla is a robot and needs a Mithril casing to be activated.
I read this comment section and didn't see that and ended up having to go all the way back to IF after fighting my way in that cave.

The robot is in a cave (loc 63,16). Go in there killing a few 51-53 gorillas on the way, and you will find it. The previous posts had me running all over the mountain top getting very frustrated...

Did quest solo (52 Priest) with no problems.
Mithril received from Mining, Casing made by a Blacksmith.&nbsp
Found A-Me in Fungal Rock cave to the right.&nbsp Easiest escort quest with experience I've done.
Only had to kill three respawned gorillas.&nbsp
Finding A-Me- 2650xp
Mithril Casing- 3950xp
Complete escort- 6550xp 1 gold, 60 silver
Totaling 13150xp.&nbsp Well worth it!

So I did the first part without the Power Source.
If you are a rogue and dont have this piece yet, just sneak in the cave to her, Cheap Shot the guy sleeping next to her (he looks dead, but he isen't) then Vanish and come back later. No problems, no messy hands, and no barrels!

Easy quest for mages, just throw up mana shield and run in, frost novaing every once in a while to hold them off

Completed it not killing one guy with a mana citrine and one mana potion :P

Find fungal rock go into the cave and a yellow dot will light up, thats where the ape will be.
Good luck on just a few apes to fight.
You have to fight your way all the way to the back maybe 8 apes at least unless you can stealth.
Once you reach the mech ape theres a what appears to be a dead ape to his left, be ready because he's dorment.
Talk to the mech ape get the quest and get out.
To come back again later.

Got around to this quest late. Finally bought Mithril Casing in AH. Only snag after A-Me 01 is upand moving is that A-Me 01 tends to run into a bunch of apes outside at the bottom of the cave entrance. Exp was 6550 at lvl 58 warrior, no rep though.

actually if you want to pick up the quest "The Apes of Un'goro" the quest is from Torwa Pathfinder at the entrance to Un'goro coords for me were 71.76. 71.60 put me in the middle of a mob of Ravasaurs.
