The Bait for Lar'korwi

Using the contents of Torwa's Pouch, summon Lar'korwi and defeat him. Then bring Lar'korwi's Head to Torwa Pathfinder near the entrance to Un'Goro Crater.

Description

This will be the most difficult part because there is some complexity to the plan. To the north of here, you will find a small trail into the mountains. It was here I saw Lar'korwi last. You will know you are in the right area because of all the bones from massive creatures that once wandered nearby. Take the meat you recovered and place it there. Then, rub this mixture I created on the meat. If both lures mingled together do not bring Lar'korwi to you, then I know nothing else that will.

79, 49. Look for the Pylon, it's up the hill behind it you're looking for black rock.

The coords 79, 49 are correct. (79.9 x 49.9 to be exact) You will see a small black rock east of The Eastern Pylon

First right click on the Torwa's Pouch that is provided.
You will receive 2 items: Preserved Threshadon Meat & Preserved Pheromone Mixture
Stand on top of the black rock in screenshot 2 and right click on the Meat (This will place it on the rock)
Then right click on the Mixture, this will cause Lar'korwi to spawn by The Eastern Pylon and charge at you.
This quest may say: Requires level 48 but he resisted most of my spells at level 48 so 1 or 2 more levels will be needed to solo.
(If your going to post what level you killed the mob, you should add some info about the quest to help others or don't post at all)

exact coordinate is 79,49 it is a flat small rock about the size of a human between the eastern crystal and a big carcass.
the target is fairly easy to kill

Easily explained:

On the EAST side of Un Goro there is a pylon. 77.49

Just EAST of the pylon there is a way leading further into the mountain. Go that way. Until you reach a black flat rock on your right side.(79.49)

Just left of that rock there is a bunch of bones (with some kinda leather attached to it, with some red / black drawings).

In your backpack you will find a package which the questgiver gave you. It's named Torwa's pouch. Open it and loot the two items.
If you don't have the pouch for some reason, disband the quest and return to the questgiver and get the quest again.

On the stone you use your PRESERVED THRESADON MEAT.

On the bunch of bones you use your PRESERVED PHEROMONE MIXTURE.

Right after you have done this a lvl 56 raptor (non elite) will run towards you from the way you approached. (from west)
The raptor is easy to kill. After you've killed it, loot the head (named: Lar'Korwi's Head.) Then return to the quest giver. (Torwa Pathfinder, 71.76)

If you aren't confident that you are going to be able to kill him in your first attempt accept the quest and open Torwa's Pouch then abandon the quest and pick it up again to receive another pouch (you won't be able to open it until you use the meat and pheromone form the other bag). This will let you have a second attempt without having to run all the way back to Torwa for the pouch.

The spot that Lar'Korwi was last seen is about at the 3 0' clock position on the map on the eastern side.

Open the (right click) pouch and get out the meat and scent potion. There is a flat rock you put the meat on. Right click the meat in front of it. Then add the scent potion by right clicking the potion.

Lar'Korwi comes running up the trail immediately from the crater. He's level 56. Hunters can lay a trap before putting out the bait if they want. Its what I did to help control the situation although I didnt need to since I did this at level 55. My cat tanked him just fine.

The stone is at 80.50
There is many bones there.
It is the grey stone, the stone is not big.
He hits fast but not hard, lev 56, not to much more hp then any other raptor in Un'goro.

For ppl without loc, it is right east of the big mountain in the middle of Un'goro crater. It is not far up into the mountain side so it is easy to find.

For those who dont know what east is:
It is to the right side of the great mountain in the middle of Un'Goro.

For the rolleplayers that use thottbot:
Have the sun in you back while you move north. When you have the mountain on you shiled arm side. Walk the way of you sword arm side. Face the dawn while you climb the path up the mountain.

I had a harder time finding the rock to place the food.&nbsp There was no cog to indicate that I had found the place.&nbsp

It is right behind the Eastern Pylon about 50 yards back.&nbsp Looks like a normal everyday stone.&nbsp Nothing special about it at all.&nbsp Place the meat and pheremone sent and turn around, Lar'Korwi comes from the crater direction.&nbsp

If you need to redo the quest cause you died, just abandon the quest and reaccept it.&nbsp He will give you a need pouch with both meat and the glands in it.

Yes don't let the level of this mob scare you. I was a level 53 warrior and got him quick. He is about as hard to kill as one of the level 50 to 51 tar guys just below the flight point. At level 53 I my plate armor was at 43%. He only hit me for 40 to 46 damage each time.

Apparently he's not that tuff. I was having major lag problems (like 3000 ms on lat meter). I died and rezzed at GY. After getting back to full health and all, I decided WTF. Summoned him and sent my pet in, clicked on Hunters Mark and then Serpent sting. Lag happened again. When I came back he was dead.

the below coords are right, it's a little rock kind of in the middle of the clearing really easy to miss. 7,300 exp for his head turn in at 53. Spawns a 56 beast.

I had the audacity to try a red quest at level 49 - and simply couldn't beat him due to resists. So I ran. Now, at lvl 52, I wish to retry it, and I can't - because I can't get the pouch again.

Have tried cancelling and re-accepting quest. I think it may be bugged?

Location is exactly in same place as The Eastern Pylon (77,50).&nbsp Go up the trail and behind the pylon, you will see a bunch of HUGE dino bones, etc.&nbsp In middle of bones, there is a rock on the ground.&nbsp Right click on the meat to place it on the rock.&nbsp Then, right click on the spices to rub on the meat.&nbsp If you're a rogue, you'll have a couple seconds to stealth and walk to the side so you can ambush Lar'Korwi as he walks up (from the direction of the pylon).&nbsp I did this solo as a 52 rogue, very easy.

This mob is a joke, very weak for L56. Soloed as a BM Hunter 49 shortly after levelling up, my carrion bird pet was still L48. Didn't even have to do anything special, just shot at it until it died lol.

Found your instructions helpful :) but screenshot 2 a bit unclear.

See screenshot 3 for better view of where the black rock is in relation to the pilon, I've marked it with a red cross.

You get quite a bit of time to catch your breath whilst Lar'korwi runs from the Eastern Pylon (shown at the far end of the screenshot) towards you.
I managed to kill him as a lvl 51 druid by applying scroll buffs prior to summoning him and using a superior healing potion towards the end. I used Innervate at the start to make sure my mana was regenerating whilst i spammed him with starfire / wrath / moonfire, turned to cat for a bit more dps, and then used Barkskin to prevent any interrupts whilst healing myself.. then back to cat.. and drink potion as needed.
10,550xp on hand-in :D

I have tried 6 times solo now as a lvl 50 hunter. My pet will not hold aggro even if I dont shoot him and shadowmeld. I will try a couple different tatics today and I will post again.
