The Dead Fields

Kill rot hide gnolls at the Dead Fields.

When Nightlash appears, kill her.

Bring the Essence of Nightlash to High Executor Hadrec at the Sepulcher.

Essence of Nightlash

Description

Our initial scouting reports of Silverpine show the rot hides have a base at an old farm to the north, the Dead Fields. We have sent small assaults against them, but each time they are reinforced by the banshee Nightlash, who uses her magic to rout our forces.

We want Nightlash destroyed.

Go to the Dead Fields and assault the rot hides. If you don't see Nightlash then kill the rot hides until she appears, then defeat her.

Her essence will turn to dust. Bring me that dust as proof.

Confirmed at 45,20.

Had to kill about 27 gnolls before she spawned. She's a level 14. Easy solo for a well-geared 13 warlock, tho' you should expect to spend a bit of time here.

45.20 in Silverpine Forest confirmed.

I think this all comes down to your luck in timing.&nbsp I arrived and she was already in the middle of the field.&nbsp Killed a few mobs and then her and then I was off with her essence.&nbsp I didn't have to wait so I wouldn't know how long it takes for her to appear.&nbsp Apparently I got lucky.&nbsp So if you arrive and she is not in the middle of the field....you can either:

a) cross your fingers and pray that she arrives shortly&nbsp

b) you can /dance while you wait

c) you can begin crying that your luck is horrible and life sucks

d) You can do some grinding in the area and make the best of it.&nbsp This place is EXCELLENT for grinding and if you are a tailor...lots of linen!

It was a bit challenging for my lvl 14 undead warlock until I realized I had to kill all the rot hiders 1 by 1 until no one could defend Nightlash.
Pretty enjoyable.

if you sneak around to the east of the fields there are some hills. you can safely camp up there and you have a perfect view of her respawn spot. when she does spawn to your left the field is free of bad guys. bring her over there and take her down. i soloed it with a 12 priest.

I entered the field and stood in the middle at level 14 i'm a priest, within 2 mins she spawned i killed her, no need to kill anything else, but you can clear the roamers that get onto the field if you want as she calls for help.

Beware of the Son of Arugal, a level 24 or 25 elite that wanders in this area. (showed up as level ?? for me....). If you find him, he will ruin your day.

As the title says, Nightlash can be found in the Dead Fiends north of the Sepulcher. You don't necessarily have to kill enemies there (they're aggressive though), and Nightlash will appear near the center of the field.

i went to the co-ords,and she was already there,in the middle of the field,walked around all the other mobs,nuked her,and walked off,no aggro from anything else,very easy

Pick Up and Turn In: High Executor Hadrec (Silverpine Forest - The Sepulcher)
Objective: Enter the Dead Fields (Rough Coordinates: 46.5, 22.7), kill Rot Hide gnolls until the banshee Nightlash appears, kill her and loot her essence. Return to Hadrec.

I soloed it as a lvl 15 hunter. I suggest turning around the field to the west of it where there are a little less rothiders. Keep out of the field and when nightlash appears, pull her. THe only difficulty lies in the fact that rot hides may add while you fight, but if you cleared the space where you stand and don't stay in the field itself, that should not happen.

It took me several tries to figure this out so I wouldnt get swarmed. Trick is to pick your fight...from the outside of the field pick off the rot hides one by one....once you make it into the field, do the same....try and keep away from other rot hides so you dont get agroed. Once the field is clear stay in the center and pick em off as they respawn. Eventually, Nightstalker will spawn alone or at most with 1 guard near her. Took me maybe 20 minutes.

Trick is to pick your fight...from the outside of the field pick off the rot hides one by one....once you make it into the field, do the same....try and keep away from other rot hides so you dont get agroed. Once the field is clear stay in the center and pick em off as they respawn. Eventually, Nightstalker will spawn alone or at most with 1 guard near her. Took me maybe 20 minutes.

Dead Fields is a bit north and west of the Ferry, on west side of road.

Go in killing each thing you see one at a time. Include the various beasts so they won't aggro. Keep moving in to the house. I kept slaughtering minions and the old gal appeared in the middle of the field. You do not have to go into the house.

I just solo'd as 12th lvl rogue. She was already in the field, I killed one rot hide on the east edge then threw a knife at Nightlash. She came alone and we tussled, I won then snuck away.

The only was I could do it was to be higher level or with a group (did it with different characters) Every time I would attack one, or even get close enough to attract one, they would all swarm me.
