He's standing at a ring of tents which have level 28 and 29 non-elites. You can sneak up the hill behind him from the road (near a tree guarded by a level 21 slime) and avoid having to clear to him through the camp. There are a couple mobs near him you can pull solo. Depending on your pull timing and clearing you can get Nek'rosh with two, one, or none of the other mobs at the camp.

If you can't use either of the rewards (2h sword or 1h axe) the sword sells for more.

There is a "backdoor" to Nek'rosh, just go to 55,56 (coming from the street) and climb/go up the ridge. You will just stand at the back of his camp and direct back of Nek'rosh. It's possible to pull him alone or when you a bit unlucky with a Lvl.29 Centurion (non-elite) add.

However, I was NOT able to solo Nek'rosh as a Lvl.29 priest. He always took my "bouble" (shield) down with one hit only. Needed assistants.

Nek'rosh exact LOC is @ 53,54.

Just duo'd him as a 28 Hunter and 28 Warrior (both poorly equipped).

Strategy:

Firstly I went around the mountain to the back entrance and went around the mountain to the right (to his right) so there was just a captain between him and me, I then pulled & killed the captain.

Next I marked the warlock that is linked with him (to his left), laid a freezing trap, aimed shotted Nek'rosh & jumped off behind the hill, where my warrior friend was waiting. Nek chased, got stuck in freezing trap, shadowcaster followed, we easily killed him.

I then shot Nek'rosh with a concussive shot, serpent sting, & arcane shot. From here I basically set my pet on him with bite and claw on auto cast, jumpshot-fired concussive shot/serpent sting/arcane shot repeatedly and ran around in a circle the warrior hamstringed & added some more dps. When he was affected by both hamstring & concussive shot, id get some distance & fire a couple of autoshots or an aimed shot.

Keys here are keeping aggro on the hunter at all times, and keeping Nek slowed. That way he spends all his time chasing after you and doing no damage, while his health is slowly whittled away.

Nek'rosh ~is~ a runner, so clear out as much of the surrounding area as possible so that he doesn't trip multiple mobs when he runs like a scared little girl.

29 Priest solo.

Killed adds surrounding him and then pull him and the shadowcaster, when he got close feared and focused only on caster.&nbsp once caster was dead I just ran down the hill till he deagrooed.&nbsp Went back up the hill (the back way) and soloed him, careful placement of fears and a mana pot helped (not sure which level).&nbsp Was hard and was at no mana at the end, but doable.

Cleared the way to chief but there was still 2x non-elite mobs, a shadcaster and melee type. Ran in killed the melee non-elite just before i died. Ran back, re-buffed, then ran at the shadowcaster, took him down as quick as i could (with the boss hitting me), then turned and attacked him.. eventually killed him.

Little something for druids.
As everyone stated go throught backway so that you end up on the little hill behinf nek'rosh camp (you can also prowl through the front, but your target is the little hill behind camp).Kill warlock/warrior that will be on that hill, then root nek'rosh and while he's rooted kill the warrior left to him (you are on the hill BEHIND the camp!), the warlocks will fire at you but ignore, try to kill the warrior (ignore even nek'rosh when he gets loose),right after killing the warrior run to the road (escape through backway, not front way ofcourse). Then get back to the little hill again (try to be fast) and walk down alittle so you get behind nek'rosh, then just wraith him and run up the hill (he will follow, but he will be alone(the distance how far youll have to pull back depends on you, but be carefull not to loose aggro)), then it's 1v1.When he tries to runjust entangle him and nuke whith everything you've got.
Did this as 32 druid, but it was a little hard, so id suggest waiting a level, or even two, yet if you get any other player you two can be even 30s and I bet youll take him down in 10 mins , maybe even less.

i think blizzard changed the boss behavior.&nbsp now the boss goes back up the mountain if the caster doesn't follow.&nbsp so, you have to go the back way and first take out both casters on either side of the boss.&nbsp the caster on the boss' right is easy since he doesn't agro anyone.&nbsp the caster on the left is tougher because he agros the boss and others.&nbsp so, i stealthed in to assassinate and got the heck out of dodge once he died (almost died myself with 3 mobs hitting me, including the boss).&nbsp healed up, and went after the boss pulling him with faerie fire and using bear no problem.&nbsp the caster spawn rate is pretty slow so going in and out of the area works well.

im a lvl 31 pally and manage to take this guy out alone in about 15-20 min

i slowly took out one and one mob untill the 3 last stood left - i used excorsim on the undead and hammerd 3 hits on him first so he was dead. now two left - i took out the 2nd mob and didnt have much left for the boss so i died. BUT the graveyard is so close u just run right back up and kill maby 1-3 that has voken and then ull only have the boss left.

Now its VERY easy to take him out when he is alone.

Mission completed

Attempted this with a 31 hunter. Someone had already cleared the area, so Nek'rosh was alone. Sent my pet on him and got him down to about 70-75% when my pet lost aggro. He ran straight at me, hit me with 4 crits in a row, then I bit the dust.

I'm a lvl 30 Mage and had a lvl 29 mage with me. We went around so we were at his back from the hills. I sheeped him and no one came out. It was amazing. Make sure you have mana evocation at the ready and don't try to use fire spells as mentioned earlier because he's immune. We took turns frosting him and arcaning him. It took about a good 2 tries to figure out him to get him and not everyone and from there it was pretty easy to kill him. He actually only attacked the lvl 29 gnome mage I was with and left me untouched.

As a level 34 hunter, I managed to pull all the mobs singly (save the three right around the fire), and Nek'rosh didn't even flinch until the last shadow warder was nearly dead, and he went for the cat. I did have to pause mid-fight to heal the cat, but otherwise, never took a hit from him myself. When he tried to run, he pinned himself up in the drop off the back, and with no orcs left to aggro...Reasonable, but not overly difficult if you are careful about planning pulls and pet use.

I'm a hunter lvl 35.... I took a different approach to the quest.... instead of taking on all the surrounding ogres in the encampment... I stood on the hill that placed my back to the road below.... I then shot at NEK'ROSH, and then ran down the hill almost to the road... only NEK'ROSH followed so I was able to fight him one on one...

It was easy from there.... if you are less than lvl 35, I suggest you have one or two helpers below waiting for you...

Coordinates are 53,55.

From the entrance to where he is, I followed the hills to the right to sneak up from behind. When I pulled him from behind, it aggro'd 2 level 28-29 casters as well. You can't pull him from behind without aggro'ing at least 1 add, but it's better then having to wipe out all 20 or so mobs that are packed tightly around the front of him.

Also, for herbalists... landed my hands on some Wild Steelbloom in the process.

this one is hard to find w/o help. the catapolt is in the middle of the encampent, it has 2 open entrances and one back less obvious entrance right behind nek 'rosh 32 elite the back entrance is south of the angerfang entrance and north of thelgan rock on the outskirts of the hills. This is a difficult mission so multiple people is needed.

Solo'd it with my paladin at lvl32, best bet is to attack from the back and pull the gaurd to the left when Nek'Rosh walks away from the gaurd on the right, that way you only get 1 pulled with him.

Solo'd as a level 31 Warlock. Snuck in the back way, near his encampment, soulstoned. If you are looking at his backside, there are two of the casters to his left. I started firing at the caster closest to him, which of course, agroes several mobs. Most go after the voidwalker, and I just keep my wand on that caster. He dies before I do, and I'm up on the hill, away from the mobs. I use my soulstone, recall my voidwalker, and now I can pull Nek'rosh by himself back up the hill. I let my voidwalker keep him busy while I throw Shadow Bolts at him (he seems VERY susceptible to shadow damage). When he dispatches my voidwalker, he comes to me. Healing potion, and I'm good for a few. When he's down to 600 health or so, I throw a fear on him so I can bandage up. I keep fearing him until my timer runs out on my healing potion, drink another, and he's mine.

If you are a warlock, or brought a warlock, cast Curse of Recklessness on him when he's close to running. That'll stop him from aggroing everything else
