Description

In the northern areas of Winterspring, the Wildkin grow even more ferocious. We must continue our measures there.

Hunt the moontouched owlbeasts in Winterspring, and explore the area they inhabit.

This is dangerous ground, but I know that you will be able to handle the challenge. Return to me after you have slain 13 of the wildkin.

I found another Cave in Dun Mandarr in Winterspring with few Moontouched Owlbeasts and frenzied Owlbeasts.
Coords: 58,59

There is a Cave at the Hills.
Be careful when you ride through the Wyrmkin Land.

But the best Place to hunt them all is on the other side of the Path.
There are 3 Caves (65,60).

The moontouched owlbeasts have shared spawns with the crazed owlbeasts. Lots of people are trying to kill these moontouched beasts for the quest, leaving the other ones behind. So its possible that you wont see any moontouched owlbeasts. Dont search for them running around. Camp at a site and kill the other ones.

Found Northeast of Everlook, at about 66,22, by the Hidden Grove, amongst Crazed Owlbeasts, and Berserk Owlbeasts.

I found a great pocket of these guys at 63, 21. Plenty of all types of owlbeasts (beserk and moontouched) without having to wait for respawns. The only problem I had was the respawns happened so fast I kept finding myself being attacked by two or more beasts that I had already cleared out. My suggestion is to pull what you can to one general area and fight there. This and the beserk quest was easy for my 57 tank.

This quest almost made me want to die. The spawns of the moontouched owlbeasts are terrible, generally only two spawned then i had to clear the area before others would spawn. Also the owlbeasts seem to have an abnormally large aggro radius.

59.59 is confirmed, beserks and moons

65.19 is also confirmed Beserks and Moons

65.57 is also confirmed Moons, crazed and beserks

This is a lot easier than I thought, I figured there would be a whole lot less of these things. There will be a lot of people trying to kill them at the same time as you though. Also, make sure you look in the mountains they hide around there a lot.

Did this quset as a 56 lock.
Don't bother going up north.

Head South to loc (59,60) You will find a little camp there.

There are all diiferent types of Owlbeasts that constantly spawn there and it is far enough off the road not to get powned by passing 60's..

I basically grinded at the camp only till i got my quota to complete the quest.

Took about 30-45min all up to complete.

The moonkin have hardly any health so as a 56 caster i was owning the 56-59 moonkin that spawn while using my voidy to help with the agro factor..

The spawns rotate between the three types. Just keep on killing and one is bound to respawn somewhere.

Some of the other types of owlbeasts are placeholders for the Moontouched. Kill the other types, and usually the type you really need will spawn. This is true with a lot of mobs that come mixed together.

Besides, it's good for XP and sometimes the wrong mobs will drop good loot.

I would also add that the next step of this chain wants you to kill berzerk owlbeasts in southern Winterspring.&nbsp There are Moontouched there also.&nbsp So, I would suggest going to northern Everspring to kill berzerk, and southern to kill Moontouched, since so many people follow the quest and its hard to grab the spawns.

Good place to find a lot is 65,19 which is entrance to a little tunnel. their around u'll find many of those. Solo'd this one as a 54 rogue.

there are a couple at 63, 20 (cosmos), but there are more farther south a little, against or in the mountains at about 67,22.

For those without cosmos, go north from Everlook, staying close the the mountains. A little below the 'corner' of the map will be cave. That's where a few are, the rest are just south of that.

Do these respawn as Crazed Owlbeasts, or vice-versa?

This quest wasnt bad at all. A hell of alot better than the one before it. Anyways. they are definetly in the general area of 55.23. If you cant use the xy,xy. Please go to Http://www.curse.com and download the mod called meta map. great mod for showing undiscovered areas of the map and good cords mod.
