Simple quest to do... 3 guys come to attack, I used 1 healing potion and finished them off. They're lvl 27/28 non elite. As a 33 Hunter (w/o pet out I was good to go). Good Luck!

It should be known that as soon as you accept this quest, three centaurs just come charging in from the northeast. I was caught unawares, so I failed the first time ^^

Easy. Just finished it and soloed with my level 29 shadow spec priest. It's basically just like Tankme said, 3 centaurs come and attack. Nothing special.

I should have read up on the quest before attempting. I got in the habit of just clicking accept on quest offerings and didn't expect three centaurs to charge. Abandon quest, Kanati has a long respawn, I waited about 10 minutes and left. I came back later and he was up and wanted me for protection again. This time I was ready. As soon as they popped I (28 Mage) Polymorphed two of them, got off a Fireball and Fire Blast on the third that was fighting Kanati before I had to re-Polymorph the two centaurs, cast another Fireball on the centaur Kanati was on, by that time he was almost dead, I let the two centaurs that I was Polymorphing come at me, Frost Nova'd, finished off the third centaur. Waited to see which one Kanati was going to jump on, Polymorphed the other one, killed the one Kanati was on and easily finished up the third centaur. Kanati was still at 80% life.

3 non elite mobs will come and attack you lv 27-29
3 non elite galak packounds scout the area lv 24-25, kill them or wait untill they have passed, they should pass the camp every minute
The mobs will attack the first target they see, hide in the tent and pick out one or two for yourself to attack and let Kanati attack his own.
If you are a healer heal Kanati and if possible cc a mob to make it less stresfull
If you failed the quest by dieing or letting Kanati die you can re-collect the quest from Kanati as soon as he respawned, this may take a couple of minutes.

Oddly, when I undertook this quest two days ago, the attacking mobs spawned, then despawned immediately thereafter. The quest showed "completed" in my log, and I received the reward.

I did this a few days ago. I never even saw the centaurs. I just stood around a minute or two, while Kanati said things like "Here they come". Then I noticed that the quest was marked complete, so I turned it in.

...you attempt it as a level 25 shaman, get your butt raped, come back, res, and as you res get jumped by the rare mob and his hyens and get butt raped again.

Soloed it at lvl 27,mage no pots just AoE'd the area

Dunno if id killed enough centaurs around the area or something, but i started the quest, then straight away he had the golden ? above his head so i chose my reward and bam, quest over, didnt even fight a ting

I ran into the hut and kept healing and purifying.

One did come after me but all I did the entire fight was to keep healing and clensing Kanati and myself.

Easy exp & rep if u use that strategy.

Oh and I also had a shield equipped.

easy for warlock at lvl 27: fear one, let vw tank one and kill the last!

I did this and died to the poinsons (each add will cast it on you), however the NPC did not die and finished off the mobs, so I got credit and all I had to do was corpse run back and turn in.

Soloed as lvl 24 shadow priest. Basically let Kanati tank as much as possible, while giving him some heals. Protected myself with shield + heals, throwing occasional damage at the buggers. Was a very close call due to running out of mana. Had to use one Lesser Healing Potion.

They spawned soon as I clicked accept and were practically an arm's reach away from hitting me

Kanati's a beefcake, you can probably let him take them on while you poach them off one by one. Even if you take all three, it's still pretty easy.

If you happen to fail this quest, Kanati has about a 5 minute respawn timer.

Packhounds randomly spawn here....

I failed because of that.

Don't pull them out to the road and fight there, the NPC will despawn after you kill the assassins and you won't get the complete message.

(I have no idea why I was killing them on the road)

3 level 31 centaur asassins will converge on the camp as soon as you accept this quest. Kanati will fight with you but as usual the quest NPC will not be that much help in the fight. None of the other NPCs at the camp will help so be prepared to take on 3 level 31 mobs as soon as you accept the quest.

2 x lvl27 and 1 x 28 spawned. I was lvl25. I guess lvl of the mobs depends on your lvl. I got 2300xp and nice bracers.

This was incredibly easy for me. I spawned the assassins and ran into the tent to stealth... and noticed they weren't attacking him and couldn't see me... so I just waited and they went away. Quest completed.

If you are a rogue... all you have to do is learn the ability "distract" it distracts them for 10 seconds... now for what to do

what i did was when i accepted the quest, i turned invisable, clicked on distract, then clicked where i guessed the centaurs were...Apparently all you have to do is distract and youll be done with the quest

Achelios the Banished (lvl 30 elite)jumped me and my pet while we defended Kanati Greycloud. I guess you could say we were wiped off the ground.

i'm a 32 hunter with 27 bear pet. I stumbled into this quest by accident.

killed a centaur and got the assassination plot. i went to white-something camp for the serpent wild quest.

i saw a rogue taking on some centaurs with the tauren fighting as well. i thought it was a train or something. so i proceeded to take on the mobs. i was able to take down 2. the rogue and guards did the rest.

i clicked kanati, next thing i know another wave of centaurs attack. dropped them again, good thing the rogue was still there. made it very easy. good the bracers too.

When i did it the mobs were actually all level 27. This happened twice in a row so i don't know if you get higher ones at different levels or what. It was actually really easy though.

Didn't realise the attack started a few seconds afte r you accept, so make sure you get your buffs/totems ready. I was lvl 27 at the time, and managed to finish it first go despite the suprise attack.

I did this as a 32 hunter, not hard.

Easiest quest EVER!

wow, start the quest as far back as you can in the tent, right after you start the quest back up as far into the tent as you can go. Wait a couple mins, the cents wont attack your cow friend, bang your done.

That quite the 4600 exp, this and the other quest....

at 31 i did this conned green at the time the centuars ranged from 31-33 when i did em and the leather reward was aweful 38ac bracers ..... exp wasnt that great either Hanabis 31 shaman of dragonblight

I just buffed the hell out of myself and healed him...faded when they started attacking me.
It took a little while, and I actually died before it was done...but he finished off the last one and I got credit for completion anyway.

If anything, I'd advise you to do it as early as you can...I think the mobs are programmed to be a couple of levels higher than you,
But the tauren you're protecting is always 30. So the lower level you are,
The more help he'll be in the fight.

Did this at 24 on warlock. just put pet out front and dps them down one at a time. Fear when needed.

Very easy quest, when I got the quest i just ran up to the place where the centaurs spawned and used my evasion. Kanati took aggro from one of them too at once so i used feint and backstabed him. So i wasn't attacked that much, though I needed to use one pot. After I killed the first one I just nuked them down. Took about 20 seconds=P

Did this quest as a 26 pally - had no problems, healed a few times but overall very easy. Good experience.

Very easy quest, it spawns 3 Galak Assasins.
As a 31 mage, i simply frost novaed them, blizzard, blast wave, and coc and a arcane explosion and they were all dead.
Very easy quest and much xp rewarded for a short quest.
