Mountain Lion Blood (10)

Description

Oh, <name>. . .the flowers are blooming in Hillsbrad and the air is so fresh and brisk. I can't help but to wallow in the misery of it all. I look out my grimy window and long for the day when our New Plague brings this world the death it deserves.

As much as I would love to sit and brood all day, my duty to the Dark Lady calls. Help me, would you? My research leads me to believe I can make the most splendid death-brew with the blood of a Mountain Lion. Bring some to me and we'll have a little fun.

Don't listen to these clowns, i just did this and the straving ones drop them WAY more often then the other lions, and their the lowest level ones, making it the fastest way.

when you hand that quest it, you get 2k xp, then another 1.4k xp for deilvering it to the dog in hillsbrad, then when you kill him 1.1k xp

4500k XP FOR THIS QUEST!

takes long but is WELL worth it.

I agree the area down by road SW has lots of starving lions and the drop rate seemed really average (1/4 or so, if you can't live with that you're in the wrong game!)

The mountain lions are just southwest of Tarren Hills - you can't miss them.
BTW: this quest will take a while due to the high enemy activity here. Lots of 30-60 characters from both sides walk these areas all the time so keep your eyes open.

Ok well heres a tip for those of you frustrated with trying to collect this blood, if you goto the NetHandlers Steed at 64,61 The Feral Lions there have a 50-60% drop rate for the blood, but be warned this lions are level 27-28 so if ur lower then level 25 id suggest killing the 24s, or waiting a level or 2 b4 going after these guys. I was 27 when i got this quest, i was at the steed for the other exlir quest and noticed the lions there so i started killing them, this is when i noticed they drop the blood fairly often.

Starving mountain lions can be found throughout the fields between Tarren Mill and Hillsbrad. Mountain lion blood drops about 30% of the time.

The only thing that's tricky about this quest is not getting mobbed. Mountain lions cooperate with each other and your presence will probably attract the attention of the Vicious Black Bears in the area. The bears are generally 1-3 levels above the lions, so be careful.

I am glad I am a hunter and a skinner because if it had not been for the meat and the leather this quest would have been pretty annoying due to the low drop rate. I guess the rewards were not too bad either.
