Description

I fear the leadership behind the Syndicate is bent on Southshore's ruin. We must strike hard at these leaders before their plans are realized.

Enter the ruins of Strahnbrad, in the Alterac Mountains to the north. We think the Syndicate is using the area as a headquarters.

We know this gang of cutthroats is run by former Alterac nobles. They may be hiding as normal Syndicate agents, but you'll know you've killed a noble by the signet ring he wears.

Bring me those signet rings.

Syndicate Spy and Syndicate Wizard drop the rings at Strahnbrad "ghost town" in the nort of Alterac Mountains, about 62,43. The droprate is about 50%. Mob lvl 34-36.

You get them from the syndicate wizards, and the first /tloc was closet... i found it around 61,48! Good luck! btw, its just past the ogres to the right!

You can get this without going into the keep itself.
There is a place at the north of Dalaran called " Danreds Fold " and you get there by following the shores north from Dalaran.
The drop rate for me was average, i killed around 15-25 syndicates for the 7 rings, but i got some decent exp.
They are level 38-40.

For those with coordinates, it's at 38,18 in alterac.

Don't run or hearth back to Southshore to turn this quest in. Follow the road east and up to Chillwind Camp in Western Plaguelands, grab the flight point and fly back. It's much quicker and adds a flight point to your list.

To reach Strahnbrad, when coming up the road headed North from Hillsbrad, take the right turn at the ogre tower at Gallows Corner. The Cosmos loc is approx 63,46.

The Alterac Signet Rings drop from Syndicate Spies and Syndicate Wizards in Strahnbrad. Drop rate seemed a bit slow. Syndicate Spies and Wizards will add to help each other. There are also Argus Shadow Mages mixed in with the Sydicate mobs. The Argus Shadow Mages do not help the Syndicate mobs, nor do the Syndicate help the Shadow Mages.

I have, infact found a definite place for the drops of the rings.
There is a place at the north of alterac, near Dalaran called " Danreds Fold "
Its NE from Dalaran and north of the mountains.
The drop rate for me was average, i killed around 15-25 syndicates for the 7 rings, but i got some decent exp.
They are level 38-40.

I agree with the recent comments: the drop rate is pretty high now.&nbsp I focused on killing Syndicate Spies and got all 7 rings with only 10 kills (70% drop rate).

60,44 are the cords the spy's in the field there have about a 80% drop rate. there is also a quest called dark council its in the same area.

if you cant find the signet rings, try take a right after entering alterac. Youll hit some houses and Syndicate Spies with invisibility. Its like a ghost village. Enter the houses and you ll find wizards. nasty thing. made me sheep one or two times.

Drop rate about 40-50%&nbsp 34-37 mobs.&nbsp All dropped at one time or other.&nbsp Mostly inside buildings and upstairs.&nbsp Watch out, there are two to three at one time upstairs.&nbsp Did this at 37 on my pally

Got this quest done while doing Dark Council (http://classicdb.ch/?quest=537) which is part of a quest that starts letter found at 58.1 - 67.9 (http://classicdb.ch/?quest=511). And btw, these humanoids are 35-36 lvl

if u go to 62, 46 there will be a place for u to kill spies who drop the rings. u dont need to go to the ruins. it's guarded by 37 Elites so u wont be getting in unless you're in a group. just kill the spies that come out of nowhere and u'll have all u need to finish the quest.

took about 15 kills to get the 7 rings. Got sheeped once to boot!

Got 2250 xp plus 80rep with stormwind at lvl 42 hunter

I was able to do this solo at lvl 32. The spies are far enough apart that you can take them one at a time and it took me about 15 minutes

Syndicate Wizards and Spys dropped the Rings for me. Overall this quest took about 10 minutes to complete .

The droprate on the rings are very poor. took me about an hour do solo. lvl 34 priest. but I also killed the Argus Shadow mages aswell. needed them for an other quest...

This quest is picked up from the Syndicate Camp on Sofera's Naze in Alterac. You can pick it up while completing another quest called Syndicate Assasins. To get it pick up the "syndicate plans" on the table between the two tents, this starts the quest Forboding Plans, which then leads to this one.

Look up the quest Syndicate Assasins for directions to the camp.

Maybe I was lucky, but I got all the rings in a fairly short period of time while doing the quest solo. I got one ring for every three mobs I killed or so. I also managed to find a rare spawn, which netted me a decent pair of boots.

Overall, it's a very worthwhile quest. It was easy at level 35.

62,44 for the signets off of the syndicate spies and wizards.
Also at the same camp I did The Dark Council by killing the shadow mages in the area.

Nagaz = 39,15 for The Dark Council too

if you follow the shore from Dalaran to a place called " Danreds Fold " and see a house there are some Assasins they drop the rings best it took me 5 min to get them. And if you are on a quest that is called " Dark Council " you can get in the house and kill Nagaz to get his head but be careful cause they are in lvl 36 - 41

all nice work on comments, but i got alittle tip for you who are low lvls like 28-34 i was lvl 34 druid during this, i died on the lvls 38-40, but if u go alitle more east than danreds fold there are syndicates at lvl 36-37 much easier and plus they drop the rings.
