Description

Take the corrupt water to the Barrens, <name>. South of Ratchet, hidden along the shore, is an old friend of mine, a shaman named Islen Waterseer. She is a powerful shaman who will help us. Her relationship with the spirits of water has always been strong. Our task being a noble one should be enough to persuade her and the spirits of water to aid us in this task.

You should find her at a small camp right along the water's edge. And, <name>, ignore the pirates... they are but a nuisance and no threat to you.

Obviously, if you're paying attention you don't need this, but make sure to go ahead and talk to Greta again after the spirit is summoned.

Otherwise, you might head all the way back to Felwood without completing the quest.

And, let me tell you, that's an awfully long trip to be kicking yourself the whole time.

From Ratchet go south down the path.&nbsp When you come to the first set of pirates there are two tents next to a hill.&nbsp Go over the hill towards the water and there she is.&nbsp Easy quest, but XP is only 2550 at lvl 53.

Assuming you don't speak Cosmos, you can find Islen on the waterfront south of Ratchet. South of Ratchet, about halfway between Ratchet and Northwatch Hold is a series of pirate camps. If you venture out onto the hills east of the pirate camps, to the farthest eastern point you can get to, there's a teensy village where Islen lives.

The spirit summoning is pretty cool. :)

after you turn the quest in, islen waterseer summons a water spirt. after she returns to shore she asks you to return the purified water to greta mosshoof in felwood. i got 2550 for completing this as lvl 52 huntress.

"proper co-ords" ?

You realise the difference between 65,43 and 66,44 is whether you are standing on your left foot or your right foot...

You realise you get different co-ords for an Npc depending on whether you are standing in front of them or behind them.

You realise if you stand at 65,43 OR 66,44 that you are Standing Right Next To This Npc - either way...

If you have the FP to Ratchet, take it, even though it's Horde territory (for me anyway), it'll save you alot of time! Islen is located south of the FP, just follow the coastline; above coords are correct

As a hunter I could not use my tracking to locate this person. Its a tauren NPC. It wasnt until I got close enough to see the yellow quest dot on my map before I found him/her.

After you talk to him/her it will go down to the water and talk to a elemental. He/she then will come back up and you need to speak to him/her again.

Whoever made that screenshot knew that as long as we paid attention to the minimap that we could find where this person is....

Note the placement of the ship along the shore......it's just like looking for puzzlepieces.

Open up your world map and go to The Barrens and click on it.&nbsp You will see the town of Ratchet, Look at the Southern coast and you will see 3 pieces of land sticking out.&nbsp She is on the tip of the largest.&nbsp You can swim south from the dock or run along the coast or jump off the ship from Booty Bay when its close to there.&nbsp Its just a pain getting to and from Fellwood from Ratchet.

ok the coords are close enough but to get to ratchet from felwood... just fly there.&nbsp easier that way.&nbsp not really sure why everyone keeps mentioning boats to get there if you are coming FROM Felwood.

Yes, follow to the coast south of Ratchet staying east on the hills until you get to a hill that looks like steps. Go to the edge and there she is. If you go past the Pirate ship you have gone too far.

The easiest way to do this quest is to head north out of Theramore, take a right and hit the coast, follow the coast all the way until 65, 43. Very easy, took me only 5/6 minutes.

Not sure about the flight path in ratchet mentioned. Maybe for horde, but definitely not for Alliance.

A nice little trick is to que for WSG in Ashenvale before you head down. Depending on the que time, it can be timed perfectly for a skip back through barrens. Mine popped 30seconds after I completed the quest!

Ok, the whole "cove" thing is utter bull%$#!. The quest guy (girl actually) is at the Tidus Stair, which is the largest (still small) penninsula between Ratchet and Northwatch hold.
