Travel to the Bulwark - Horde territory - and assassinate Alexi Barov. Take his head and return to Weldon Barov.

Be warned, Alexi will probably be well protected by Horde filth.

Description

With the deeds recovered, there is but one thing left to do. Alexi must be killed. With him dead, I need not ever worry about an unscrupulous gang of mercenaries seeking my head.

It's a simple task. Alexi hides under the protection of the Horde - at the Bulwark.

No, I do not expect you to just walk up and kill him, I want his head! How you get it... well, that part is up to you. That type of behavior is below one of my noble upbringing.

Ima a 60 ally priest, and just as a turned this quest in, some horde pulled weldon barov to do their side of the quest. I had the idea that since he was factioned, maybe i could heal him, so I hid behind one of the houses and kept him at full health and wiped the 2 groups that tried to kill him.

I'm no expert by all means...

But if you read the quest description it says, in the Bulwark, Horde Territory... well the only real Horde territory nearby is Tirisful Glades, so you get on your mount, and you ride from Western Plaguelands, to Tirisful glades and right in betwee, BAM! You're in the Bulwark.

Logic for the win!

Alexi Barov can be found in the camp to the left as you enter Tirisfal Glades from Western Plaguelands. Alexi can be pulled by himself if you shoot him from the road. Battling him is a rather straight forward fight, DPS him until he's down. Be sure you have a solid tank with you, Alexi hits like a truck.

This fight should be rather easy with a full group of 5 but it is possible to bring extra friends along to help. If you're having a hard time bringing him down, have a few friends in reserve and have them wait for your party to "tap" him, then they can jump in. And it goes without saying: watch for horde.

We killed Alexi today with one rogue (me), one mage and one warlock.

I put crippling poison on both weapons to slow him down and tried not to do *too* much damage too quickly, just followed him around keeping him crippled.

Mage and Warlock stood about 100 yards apart nuking him with whatever they had until one got aggro, because he was crippled it takes ages for him to walk so if he walked towards the warlock, the warlock stops casting and the mage continues until alexei changes direction again, meanwhile I am continuing to stab him with poison to keep him crippled, repeat until dead.

Didn't take too long, didn't need a tank or a healer.

the entrance to tristfall glades from Western plague lands.&nbsp just look to your left, hes standing in the horde camp.&nbsp

I found a good way to kill him without being ganked by hordies.&nbsp Have only tried this with a druid but should work for some other classes. Pull him with a ranged attack then get some speed, or cast a spell to slow him and lead him back out the gates toward western plague land.&nbsp Take a sharp right and hug the mountain, make sure you have a damage over time on him at all times!&nbsp You should be able to dodge the bears and spiders as you make your way to the lake.&nbsp Now you can take your time with him as there should be little chance of someone stumbling on your position so far out of sight.&nbsp Also the lake makes for a quick exit if someone does find you.

did it with a 4-man group (priest (55), rogue(60), pally(60) and hunter(60)). clear 3 horde npc around barov first, then lure him out of the camp and kite him to death. just make the rogue keep him slow-poisoned or stunned and hunter shoot/kite him

I used curse of exhaustion (the cheap one) and ran this guy in a straight line from the Bulwark, thru Tirisfal Glades, down thru Silverpine forest to nearly Hillsbrad dotting with corruption (instant) and Siphon Life. I occassionally used amplify curse to increase my CoE, as this guy is quick.

It was a pretty neat pursuit. Glad I didn't run into any notable Horde. Thank you to the lvl 13 UD Priest that cheered me on.

Just took him down with a mage, hunter, two warlocks and myself, a priest.&nbsp All 60s. It was very easy, given the movement slowing abilities of said party.&nbsp The mage sent frostbolt after frostbolt and one of the warlocks had curse of exhaustion up.&nbsp We ping ponged him around the area for a minute, whoever was in the aggro spotlight found it very easy to run away.

We were lucky in that the two paladins at the camp seems disinterested in us - thanks guys!

Okay rouges, you need some help on this one.&nbsp We just put five rogues on him and only got him to half&nbsp life before we wiped.&nbsp He crit for 2300 something and he has tons of HP.&nbsp Bring a druid or tank/healer pair.

He's not so easy, but can be done.

As a level 60 Arms Warrior, I had 2 pallys (56 and 58) healing me while I kept Overpowering him...

Took about 3 minutes.&nbsp Just in time for my Battle Shout to wear off.

As long as the horde don't see you kite him to the back of the woods (the southeast side of the gate to WPL), you'll be fine.&nbsp Oh, and shoot him from the path.&nbsp You won't aggro any others that way.

We had:
60 Feral druid
60 Resto druid
60 Hunter
60 Hunter
60 Pally
60 Druid

5 of us were in a group with one druid outside to support.. we stayed in WPL close to the border and had one druid stealth camp close to Alexi.&nbsp After around 15 mins, the hordes seemed to loose interest and there were only 1 left.&nbsp The druid just hit Alexi once and run.&nbsp Alexi followed and the hunters kept using their guns on him...we dragged him into WPL closer to the lake and finished him there.&nbsp Took 5 mins?&nbsp The horde didn't have time to reorganize so we got out okay with just one death.

Myself (60 Pally) and gildee (Mage) cleared a path (bears, spiders etc...) then kited Alexi all the way down to Chillwind Camp, thinking the guards there would attack him... WRONG!

They stood there will Alexi pummelled us! lol

So we got a couple more and decided to just have a go taking him out at the Bulwark. All was going well, he was down to about 30%... then a few Horde arrived and started healing him and he kicked our arses! lol

I had a few choice words for them as they pissed themselves :(

Well I don't know if I was just lucky, but I walked up to him to engage, and although I could see there were at least 3 lvl60's around not one of them came to aid him. So I soloed him with ease as a lvl 60 paladin. 11900XP and fun trinket :)

I had a full lvl 60 party and 1 lvl 51 Priest.

1 x Warrior 2 x Paladins 1 Warlock(myself) and a lvl 51 Priest.

It was a very tough battle, nothing I have ever seen,..the Barov guy dodges EVERYTHING, which makes a very tough battle. I took about 8-10 minutes to kill that bastard, and that, because 2 warriors and a palladin were tanking him, while I was striking from the distance with Soul Fire, Shadow Bolt and also, cast Curse of Doom on him.

So be warned, unless you have any type of trap, freeze ability like hunters do, make sure you have a very tough group with you!

I haven't tried the servants, though. But they may come in handi when doing a quest alone -)

Just did it with fury specced warrior, retri pally and holy pally. Pally healing and warrior/pally dealing worked like a charm, no casualties. Might have been lucky as no hordes came by to turn the tide of battle...

Solo'd as 70 ret pally, 1st time horde came and helped, it didnt turn out well. Then just waited awhile and pulled him to a spot thats hard to see from the road, and didnt have any problems (have LoH ready just in case).

I am a frost mage, and I tried to solo just tonight, but he is immune to all AoE spells. That means no frost nova, no cone of cold, and not IAE. I dont know if they changed him or what, but I cannot imagine how it is soloable by a mage.

a tidbit difficult on a pvp server raids happen all the time on my server at the bulwark and if alexis just happens to be there... >< your outta luck for at least a day and then there is alexis himself... a group attacking the bulwark send echoes through the defense channels attracting a sea of horde bastards i ended up doing it at 1 a.m. server time cause we got raped twice before by add on players at one point we evn tried about 20 of my guildies still got dominated... that's how bad the non battleground pvp is on my server you have to be careful on a server cause if the horde are mean you are $%^&ed

This quest is mega hard and the reward is totally worthless. I attempted this solo as a level 62 holy pally and got completely owned. Did this with a 70 shadow spec priest and we both got owned. It was not until a level 68 pally and his 65 warrior showed that we all finally killed this sucker.

Unless you are just dying to complete this chain of quests, forget it or show up a full mid 60's group of helpers

This guy is way harder than his rating, which is 60 elite

This quest is actually soloable by a prot pally. I had the quest and got the deeds and decided to give it a try. I'm a level 57 Prot pally and I was able to solo it and all i did was keep up JoL (Judgement of Light) and SoL (Seal of Light) along with HS (Holy Sheild) and just endured him really. If you get too low use LoH (Lay on Hands) once you get to about 15% and you should be good. Just make sure before you use LoH that he's atleast at around 30% so you don't waste your cooldown
