Description

Under normal circumstances, Rigger and I would lead our kodo past the Kolkar Centaur. Every now and then we hear the Centaur war drums, and when we hear those we stop. It's not good for business to be dead!

I'll tell you what <class>, if you protect us past the Kolkar village we'll make it worth your while.

It's just a short distance, all you need to do is keep the caravan intact and you can pick up your reward from Smeed Scrabblescrew - he is down the road a bit. We do a little business together.

Caravan moves back & forth on its route.&nbsp When its east of Kormek's Hut at 66,38, one of the goblins will shout to entire region that he needs bodygaurds.&nbsp At this point he will have a yellow "!" above his head & you can begin quest.

You can heal the NPC's so they don't die
All NPC's will help kill in all fights, if they are close enough.
If you start a fight with a mob that isn't part of the quest, bring it close to the caravan NPC's & they'll help you kill it.&nbsp

This is the first of two quests on the caravan trade route between Kormek's Hut and the Gelkis Village. It is also the easier of the two. After returning to Kormek's Hut, the caravan sets up shop and rests for 10 minutes. Then it departs headed east along the road and stops just north of the Kolkar Village. At this point the quest becomes available for only 4 minutes. If it is not recieved within that period, the caravan continues south along the road and then west straight to the Gelkis Village. You have to then wait for the caravan to complete it's circut before you can pick up the quest (which takes approx. 40-60 minutes! depending on the quests being picked up or not along the way)

For the quest, you are attacked by three seperate mobs as you pass the Kolkar Village heading south. All three mobs spawn the same units and they are as follows :

2 Kolkar Ambushers (level 34-35)
2 Kolkar Waylayers (level 33-34)

After the third mob is defeated, the quest objective is completed and you can head directly to Scrabblescrew's Camp to recieve your reward.

3 sets of Kolkar Ambushes. not too hard since the caravan fights too.
one of two escort quests for the caravan. this is the&nbsp easier of the two.

soloed pretty easily as a 32 rogue. as long as you help out killing the spawns, you can't go too wrong with this one. both the goblins and kodo's help you kill 'em, so really, you only have to worry about 1 of the 4 in each spawn at once.

In the second ambush the Giant decided to show up and absolutely destroy the entire caravan. Better than being ganked by alliance I guess.

Tried this today with a party of two others, all mid 30s. We start nicely but then the elite Deepstrider Giant comes walking across the road and kills off the caravan. We almost kill him but then get ganked by some Alliance who decided we were easy targets, who then kill the Giant who has almost no life left. Failed quest, no Giant loot and one very pissed off group, priceless.

did it with my level 34 paladin yesterday. there will be 3 ambushes when the caravan stops and 4 centaurs will show up. I did not encountered the giant elite, but I saw him later on the road :)

Aye - he stops at the location mentioned in the previous post on his trip south. He does not have the quest at the northern rest point near Kormek's hut. If you are close enough when he stops, you will hear him yell out for assistance.

Well this guy was stuck for me, I made a report in game and the GM whispered me saying that these mobs get regularly reset in case they get stuck so I should check back later, I was a bit miffed i couldn't get my ring sooner but meh

We had the exactly opposite thing happen to us - ie with hordes ganking our group but without the giant ... still managed to finish it afterwards though.
