  •
Scarlet Knight slain (2)

Description

I was sent as a scout to do some damage and gauge the strength of Hearthglen's defenses. Some people in the Alliance feel the little town has more than historical importance. It's not my job to question what that importance is, but regardless, I'm in no shape to continue until I rest up.

If you're willing, I'd pay handsomely for some help. Start south of here at their camp near the small bulwark they've set up. If you prove strong enough, maybe I could get your help with my main goal.

I could not find any mages at the bulwark either so I started killing the knights. After a round of killing the mobs on the street to hearthglen mages started spawning in their place.

As a 54 NE hunter no problem with this until it came time to take out the hunters. Killed 5 times trying to get close enough to kill a hunter to finish this quest. IMHO the camp needs better spacing. No way to pull a single hunter ( and hunters are never single) without pulling a caster as well.

It is possible to pull a single hunter. But I'm not sure how simple it is for a class that can't sleep the dog first. Which is how I did it.

The coords are accurate. Soloed at 55 as shadow spec priestess. Knights are easy single pulls. Mages also easy single pulls..use "silence" half way thru the fight and you're golden. Hunters are a bit of a pain. I suggest taking care of the pets first as they can do a lot of interrupting of your casting and the hunter stays at range. Mana up to full between hunter pulls as you'll be doing the hunter and the pet who are both the same level (around 53 or 54, I think). Medics aren't bad. Trickier to pull single so be careful not to get aggro from the nearby hunters or invokers. The invokers are a real pain in the....well...you know...lol. Remember to use "silence" when the medic starts to cast a heal or you'll be in for a long fight. All in all, a very doable quest at level 55 if you find yourself without a tanking partner or simply prefer to solo it.

Ok, the medics and hunters you can find at the little scarlet camp between the first two farms north of the road. It's the same camp you burn down for a bulwark quest. Knights can be found further to the east, head north along the road that leads towards heathglen (sp?). The scarlets here come in groups, bunches of knights with mages scattered through standing around barricades on the road, the further north toward heathglen you go the more avengers and spellbinders get mixed in.

Hope this helps:)

It's bit unclear from the map, but the easier way to get to Kirsta is via Northridge Lumber Camp (as opposed to via the road to Hearthenglen.)

... I didn't realize this and ended up jumping off the cliff! []

Wait till the group of 4 and the dog engage an undead, one shot the caster and FD. freeze trap and aimed shot the hunter, serpent sting him, auto shot should finish him in a few seconds, plenty of time to fear the dog and then just kite the caster up the road. Easy. Come back in 5 minutes to repeat and you're good

I couldn't find any hunters on the road OR at the little camp. By chance, I happened across a hunter infront of one of the barns at the cauldron farms. Atleast two of the farms (the two beside the little scarlet camp) had 4 specific scarlets at the corner of the field. A medic, an invoker, a hunter and a hound. I got my hunters this way. The other two cauldron farms have scarlets too, but I can't say if they have hunters or not.
