Open the Resonite cask with the Enchanted Resonite Crystal, and then slay Goggeroc. Return to Mor'rogal with the news and Enchanted Resonite Crystal.

Description

You have uncovered a dark threat to the land, <class>. The Resonite cask you have found in that cave houses a slumbering Earthen by the name of Goggeroc.

I have changed the mixture of the Resonite crystals that you gathered with my shamanistic powers. Take the enchanted Resonite crystal and smash open the Resonite cask, which houses the Earthen.

When awakened, Goggeroc will be weakened... Slay him, <name>!

* cave entrance location is: (61.92) (there are 2 caves, it's the north-western one if you don't have mapnotes addon) --> Boulderslide Ravine is the name of the area if you need to look manually for it.

* once you enter the cave, there are 2 paths after a few steps. Choose the one on the right until you find a big room with a black stone floating, with 3 mobs surrounding it.

* kill the 3 mobs before touching the floating stone.

* touch the stone, the lvl 20 elite mob will appear.

* kill him, and quest will be completed.

I killed him as lvl 24 rogue, using a healing potion, it wasnt hard.

For you who is as stupid as me, you have to go forward into the cave (just follow it straight forward) until you reach the water. Then you got to use the "Enchanted Resonite Crystal" on the resonite cask that lies above the water.

Then Goggeroc will spawn.

You can actually kill him as many times as you want, but you wont get any exp or loot.

It's worth mentioning that if you don't clear those around the crystal they will aggro to you when you spawn him. AND if you die you have to abandon and run a lot to get the crystal and go back there.

If you go in the cave, take the first left you can. At the end of that area, you will see a crystal and another area above it. Hop on the crystal and jump on the area above.

You wil then se about 5-6 badies there and a HUGE hovering crystal.

That's the crystal, that's the quest.

It's not broken.

This quest is now working correctly.

The water shows as blue on the minimap and the dark crystal hangs over a small island at the back, guarded by three kobolds. After despatching them, "open" the crystal to summon Goggeroc. Even if you die in your attempt, by the time you return everything is reset to try again.

When you've killed him as many times as you want and have completed the quest, the summoning crystal is no longer required and can be dropped.

Ya the resonite crystal doesnt go away when u kill him so u can kill him as many times as u want since he is an elite but nothing drps offa him. its just for exp

Went to the cave today and sure enough the crystal was there.&nbsp It is located all the way to the back of the cave accrooss the water.&nbsp I shattered it, killed Goggeroc, and went on my merry way with quest complete.

The crystal is in the back of the cave on the little island in the water.&nbsp Kill the 3 guys standing around first and then summon the 20+ elite and kill him.&nbsp He got me the first time because I didn't kill the 3 guys by the crystal, and I didnt hit vanish in time.&nbsp I am a lvl 25 rogue.

The map cords are in a previkous post to which get you to the cave entrance.&nbsp The crystal never disappeared, it just stays there.&nbsp It is black and floating.&nbsp Shaped like a crystal but doesn't
have the color a crystal would have normally.

As far as I know, this quest has been broken since they released the game. Tried it with multiple characters and the quest rock or whatever you have to click on simply isn't there.

Found the crystal floating above lake in back of cave. Grogerock or whatever his name is, is only a level 20. I am level 24 with a 24 pet. He has taken&nbsp me out 4 times now. He is not elite. He takes over 100 dmg on every hit. WTF is wrong with this quest? Opened ticket today, this quest pisses me off.

I just found it I have been there like 6 times before someone said that it was some spot he showed me where it was... but then I found the thing floating in the air it kept going up and down this was over by the only area with water right over the little island the guy that spawned was a level 20 elite

After reading the above comment saying that the cask disappears if someone summons but doesn't kill Goggeroc, I decided to check as soon as my downed server came back online.&nbsp Sure enough, the cask was floating over the island and I was able to kill him multiple times with the cask respawning each time.&nbsp So if you want to finish this quest, wait for a server reset and run your booty to the cave.&nbsp The reward didn't justify the anguish this quest has caused but at least I got it and will never speak of it again.

i did it second try with 26 mage, first time i wiped because of the fast respawn so i pulled mobs back in the cave when i used my frost nova.

Lost only about 100 hp but had almost non mana left

Did it today, found the crystal thing in the area with the water. Used it, and by the time I'd killed Goggeroc, the crystal had respawned.

I meant to say I wiped the cave twice. The cave will go round and round in a circle (somewhat) I wiped once through, then a second time each time I payed attention to the water area and no deal on the crystal/cask situation.

Don't know if it's been fixed or not, but whenever the server is restarted, it always seems to be back up.&nbsp It is a large dark purple crystal that floats in the air off the little piece of land that sticks out into the water at the back of the lake.

I did this quest twice today. Once to help someone and once by myself.

I am a level 26 Mage and I beat him my first try but it would be easier to take just one person with you.

The appears right after you put your crystal with the big floating crystal at the back of the cave.

Easy. Took 20 minutes max. 1250 exp.

this is definately a bugged quest

i have tried it twice, no cask spawns, and both times i was the only one doing the quest.

i filed a ticket and the gm said it was a known bug so don't waste your time until you see it in the patch notes as being fixed.

We had a group of 3 and cleared the cave numerous times and couldn't find anything besides the little workers. We didn't see anything floating, no crystals (except the purple ones) and nothing spawning.
