You must be level 35 and at 225 cooking before you can pickup this quest.

Once you get the quest you need:
12 Giants Eggs
10 Zesty Clam Meat
20 Alterac Swiss

The eggs seem to drop only from Rocs not fire rocs.
The Clam meat can be gotten by fishing.
The Alterac Swiss . . . is what I'd like info on.&nbsp Where can I get that?

Alterac Swiss can be bought at the cheese shop near the entrance to Stormwind.&nbsp Also I believe it's available from vendors in Southshore...and probably Alterac.

He's in the Bronze Kettle as said before, he gives you the quest to go talk to the guy in Tanaris.
Bronze Kettle is across from the Great Forge, opposite side of The High Seat room.

I'm a 37 druid and just got 225 cooking in front of him cause it was grey when I had 224.

His cord are 60,36.

Good Luck!

Zesty Clam Meat -
can also be found on the turtles over in Steamwheedle Port.&nbsp These drop fairly often - may save a trip back to STV or other areas.

Alterac Swiss -
Found in Stormwind... at the cheese vendor near the gate (Trias' Cheese).

Giant Eggs -
Owlbeasts over in The Hinterlands was the best/easiest place to find these.&nbsp I haven't been to Blasted Lands yet at lvl 40, so Hinterlands is a good choice.

This is a real shame. I've got my skill up to 225, but I'm only level 34. I wish I had known this was a level 40 quest before I wandered into Gadgetzan and spent half an hour desperatly looking for a trainer.

Here's a few tips for the cook waiting to level.

- Get the Yellowfin Recipe from the fisherman in Steamweedle. The port is to the east. The fish can be caught at BootyBay without any real threat of ambush. These will meet your food needs until you're level 40.

- There is a stove in the same building as the mining trainer. Just note this if you are trying to train cooking.

It also helps if you spell out words and use proper English so people can understand what the hell you're saying.

I am at level 40, 225 in cooking, have gathered all the necessary items for this quest but the game will not let me turn it in to Dirge.&nbsp Any ideas on how to fix this?

I have a friend who completed the quest at level 40, 225 cooking so I should be able to as well, shouldn't I?

Does anyone know if level 45 is the absolute lowest you can do this? My lvl 32 (almost 33) Priestess is already maxed out in cooking at 225 and I'd hoped to cook up the rest of her ingredients and get them out of the bank. But, I'd rather get skillups for it.

Thanks!

Is this mission for the Artisian Level?

This is where I got my Expert Level

First find your way to Dark shore
2: Head south on the road leading out of Dark Shore, this will take you to Astranaar, Vist with the Griffen rider for good measure.
3: Again head South out of Astranaar, and after a little bit of a walk you'll come to notice a small pth heading off to the right, this is the path to the 'Silverwinds Refuge'
4: Silverwinds Refuge is actually overlooking the Mystrial Lake and sits on the East banks. if you go into the Refuge you'll find a vendor by the name of Shandrina, selling Trade Goods, you'll have to talk with her.

This little trip will cost you more then a Gold, but you will end up with a book that will let you train Expert Cooking.

According to the WoW forums Professions FAQ http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.aspx?fn=wow-professions&t=40&p=1&tmp=1#post40, you need to level up to 226 before leaving the zone or your skill will revert back to 225 max.

Unfortunately that's a little more difficult with cooking than other skills!&nbsp I couldnt find a cooking fire in Gadgetzan, or a vendor who sold flint and wood for a campfire!&nbsp I had to run to steamwheedle port to buy some cooking gear from the fisherman there fortunately it's not that far away.&nbsp Although I now read in that same FAQ that there is a bonfire in Gadgetzan behind the inn.&nbsp *SIGH*.

Seems like Blizzard dropped the Level requirement. I am at Gadgetzan right now, having the Quest at LVL 35. So it seems like you can get it at any time when you have your cooking level high enough.

Your cooking can only go up to 225 until you get the quest complete so you have to be looking at the wrong skill numbers.

You can't get the quest till your are 225. I just got it from the guy in the Bronze Kettle just buy the flight path landing in IF. So a hunting we will go! Cheers.

Just to be clear, you have to be level 40 with 225 of the appropriate skill, or level 45 without skill, in order to complete any artisan tradeskill quest.
