Use the Aspect of Neptulon on poisoned elementals of Eastern Plaguelands. Bring 12 Discordant Bracers and the Aspect of Neptulon to Duke Hydraxis in Azshara.

Description

A force of elemental scouts was sent to the eastern plaguelands of Lordaeron, and the disease of that place twisted and infected them. The Waterlords cannot allow this affront to our purity!

Take this vial. In it is a quantity of one aspect of Neptulon. If used on the plagued elementals it will fight the poison within their bodies and cure them! But their inner conflict will drive them into a surging madness.

Defeat the discordant surges and bring me their bracers of binding.

Mobs southwest of Light Hope at the lake. Plenty of elementals there. 100% drop on the bracers.

Tip of the day:

Hit the elemental without changing it with the fask down to low hp then frost nova/gouge/kidneyshot...stun it in any way then use the flask to enrage it....makes things much easier

Man, fighting water elementals that knock back as a frost mage SUCKS. I'd pull from range with a fireball, try to time the Aspect bottle and then fight them off with arcane missiles.

Just follow the quest text. there is nothing wrong or strange about this one. Use item (before agroing if u have troubles with interrupts) on plagued monstrosity, they turn into that other thing, kill it, 100% drop.

Well completed this and the follow on is not yet available. Have yet to do his other quest, but am already Friendly due to my MC trips. Will go do the kill elementals quest and come back, at which point I assume he'll have the follow on.

was trying to do the quest too, but then i noticed i wasn't getting any bracers. but after some kills i found out that i was still in a raid party, and then quest items won't drop. so when you do the quest remember don't be in a raid

dont even group for this. its easy..if you melee and could be inturrupted when you cast the aspect on the elementals...then cast it on them BEFORE you attack...it aggro's them to you anyway. the quest items aren't dropping because you either haven't used the aspect on them....or ur in a raid group. used the aspect on my first elemental and the quest item didnt drop. why? b/c i was in a raid gorup for pvp queue! lol
left group and didnt have any trouble after that. the quest is fine folks!

Got the bracers to drop off of every elemental I turned. The exp didn't matter to me at 60 when I finished the quest but I think you need to finish both of Hydraxis' quests before he will give Molten Core quests, which will hopfully have better rewards.

Tried this quest earlier today only killing 3-4 before giving up. A little later I did the other quest given from Duke Hydraxis, Stormers and Rumblers. After finishing that quest (killing all, not turning in) I could do poisoned water with 100% droprates, seems as their linked in some weird way.

Not only is the use of the flask that you are given interruptable, but it can also "miss" so watch carefully for when it does, re stun and try again!

I've killed about 12 of these guys (used the aspect 1st to make them Discordant Surges, and the resulting drops were one stack of four waters, and a globe of water. Since they don't even give faction, I more or less gave up for the moment since I had a raid invite. Any help on this quest?

I was pulling them by hitting them w/ aspect and they were dropping everytime. But then when i needed 4 more, they stopped dropping. This is really pissing me off...

Actually I think it is realted to your faction with the Hydraxian Waterlords, stormers and rumlers probably takes care of the faction. The reason I say this is becasue I have not done Stormers, but I have spent som time in silithus grinding elementals for EoA(to no avail I migh add), my rep is good with them.. and the bracers dropped every time... even without completing the Stormers quest

The discordant surges drop the bracers every time. Just make sure you use the Aspect on the blighted/plagued water elementals first to change them into discordant surges.

Reward for the quest is just xp -- there's no faction adjustment, which is lame.

I had problems getting the quest item to drop as well... then I realized I too was in a raid group heh. After I left they started dropping 100%. I didn't do the other quest in Silithis so that didn't affect this quest, it was just because I was in a raid =\

I came with my mage. If you are a frost mage, these water elementals are immune to anything frost. Use your fire blast, arcane explosion, scorch, fireballs.

They will interrupt your casting, so cast after the jump interruption, then use later your fire blast, ect.. They are immune to your water elemental pet if you have it.

They dropped everytime the bracers for me, in almost every kill and is great place for water essense, I got a few drops

Coords are 61.2, 75.5, EPL
