Bring the Torn Scroll Fragment, the Crumpled Scroll Fragment and the Singed Scroll Fragment to Theldurin the Lost.

Description

The Scroll of Myzrael...the Scroll of Myzrael?! You don't want that! Its magic can pull Myzrael to the surface world and if you do that, we are in trouble!

Or...maybe it's too late. Maybe she already is free. Maybe she's just gathering strength before unleashing herself upon us. If so, then you'll NEED the scroll!

...too bad it's destroyed. Enraged elementals stole it and tore it up and now fight over the fragments.

But if you can gather those fragments, maybe we can fix it...

hate... anger ... agression.... killing elementals for more than 2 hours now.. must be some 150 or so...first 2 scrolls dropped within 4 minutes.... sould've been in bed since hours... hate stone... cant see anymore stones... theres stones everywhere in my inventory. i could try building a new planet and have some spare stones left. Anger is slowly drivven apart by depression... madness.... brain... not... works... must.... stone... STONE! .... agl.... just one scroll... more stones... hehe... STONES ! LOL ! rocks, stones... not funny... hard.... must ... stop writing.. and .... kill stones.... cant... *urghhhhhh....*

You can obtain this quest at 37, but the mobs you have to kill are 42-43. Either wait and do this after leveling up a bit, or bring friends. My 39 warrior had trouble taking on just one of the elementals.

Also note that this are of elementals tends to get farmed, probably for elemental earth. Not sure why, as elemental earth is one of the cheapest elements I've seen in the AH. Anyways, you might be competing with farmers on this one.

Soloed it with Bugman my lvl 47 pali, pulled 3 as i entred the area 2 dropped :), then I settled in to grind it for a bit ...next one i killed dropped third scroll,
So have heart you may complete this in under 5 minutes like me lol

For those who don't have coords- Be certain that you find Enraged Rock Elementals, not just Rock Elementals. If you head East from the questgiver, there's a pocket of Rock Elementals. I spent 45 minutes to an hour and over a thousand arrows killing them, with a 0% drop rate, only to find out that I had to go basically directly above the questgiver. There's a crag in the mountains and Enraged Rock Elementals galore. Got all the pages within five or six kills.

Ok it is really simple. You just go to Badlands, kill Enraged Rock Elemental's lvl 42 - 43 and after like 2 hours you will have all the Torn Scroll's.

The Enraged Rock Elemental's are behind Theldurin the Lost.

Alright so I was reading on here about the drop rate for this quest and seeing how terrible it is..when I got all 3 off 1 mob...I nearly crapped my pants! Alright good luck to anyone doing this quest

The area you are looking for is just behind Theldurin, a small hill leads there. The elementals are level 42-43, were not fire immune, thats sure. Take care for the re spawns, i've got surprised a few times there. The next part of the quest is "Summoning the Princess" . Drop rates were not so good, i got 2 of 3 items in like 8 kills, but had to kill this amount or more to get the third drop. If you have not done "Badlands Reagent Run" before, than you will be able to get the 5 pieces of Rock Elemental Shards, that you need for the quest.
The quest gives 4600 experience as of 04 July 2008

Make sure you are killin the Enraged Elementals directly behind him in the hills. I made the mistake of killin the normal elementals just a little west in the hills, they do not drop. Or at least after I killed 30 of them and got nothin, I figure they don't.

When I first did this on my main, I hated it. It took me, a friend and a random person 30 mins to an hour to get all the pieces. Now I'm doing it on an alt, no difference. I'm doing it right now, 15 mins and not a single drop yet.

When you accept the quest then Theldurin turns around and points behind himself. So those who posted the elementals are there are correct. But there is more to it:
When I arrived there all elementals had spawned and were milling about. I took care to kill them one by one AND took note that I moved around systematically having read the previous posts. When I had killed all originally spawned save 2 I noted that there were respawns now. I only had 1 fragment by then. So attacked the next "old" one - and BOTH missing fragments dropped from it.

This was complete madness! Took 22 kills to get the 1ST frag, then 13 more to get the other 2. And now I have the next quest as elite and it's in red... /sigh

I did this quest easily as a 43 warlock, were able to single pull eachone and kill. got two peices same drop second kill, and got the last piece 2 kills later, it honestly wasnt too bad, at the cords 53.80

Although when I did this with my main (shaman) it took me around 30 kills, I just finished it with my mage in 3. The first mob dropped one scroll, and the third dropped the other two together.

I've been back here three times, spent at least a couple hours and cleared the entire field so many times I can't count, still only have the two pieces. At this rate I'll level again. Meanwhile all my other quests are going green or grey. At least I'm stockpiling some decent deeprock salt and elemental earth. Maybe I'll try and corner the market for the salt and earth on my server. Even my Big Iron Fishing Rod wasn't this much of a pain.

hrhr, it took me 2 kills to get all three fragments. first elemental dropped 2, the second elemental dropped the 3rd fragment... lucky me

I soloed this quest with my two characters. First time was with my Tauren Shaman, a couple of months ago. I killed those damned Elementals for an hour and a half till I got the three fragments.
Then I did it today with my Undead Priest, and I found the three quest items ON THE SAME ELEMENTAL... the second one I attacked. Took me 40 seconds, which is a joke compared to the first time.

It is just a matter of luck.

There is a path that leads up into a mountaneous area directly behind Theldurin. The elementals that have the 3 items you seek are there, keep killing until you collect all 3. I had to kill 9 of them, but it varies. Careful though, they move around a lot and pretty fast so chance of being interupted by a second one while fighting is high. Did this as Lvl 43 troll mage, was pretty easy.

Quest took about 10 min.. but you need to go directly behind the dwarf and only kill the elementals there.. You can easily kill one at a time. With any class if your careful. Drop rate does vary.. so be prepared.. fun little quest.

haha....I got my first 2 on my first kill...have kille 3 others with no luck...gonna have to go back after I get higher lvl...am only lvl 27 shammy....but had my 31st druid with me.
