Description

Oh yes, my barbecued buzzard wings are a favorite! The sauce is rich and the meat is tangy. And the smell will bring the hungry running from miles away!

I have everything I need to cook up a batch. Everything...except the buzzard wings!

If you ever get tired running around the map looking for these birds, I found a nest of Giant ones lvl 40 at Loc: 16,57 the drops the same.

The drop rate on these is really poor and the buzzards can be hard to find. There's a big clump of them at (14, 60).

wings drop somewhere around 50% of the time, and buzzards are easier to find in the eastern part of the zone. 2350 exp at lvl 45, plus increase to BB rep.

There are 10ish Giant Buzzards (level 39-40) at this location. They are located in a nice ring that lets you pick them off one by one.

There is a great place (15,60) where they spawn both LOTS and FAST. Go to the BIG triceratops (or whatever) skeleton in the sand near the quest giver. "Apocryphan's Rest" is the map label.

Once I was killing the "buzzards" and not the "starving buzzards", this really wasnt a problem. The final one was the worst, but all in all, I would say I killed about 12 for the 4 wings. The best place to find them, is around Agmond's End. (I dont use a cords site.) There is alot of coyotes and cheetah style enimies there though, so watch your back. Also, there is a silver buzzard spawn that killed me twice. I have no clue what level it is, shows up as a skull for me. I am 43 Night Elf Druid, Nervarah from Durotan.

WOW 50% of the kills ?
I killed maybe 20 buzzards without any drop !
Then I found a great place for this quest : just east of the very western cemetary.
There you will find about 10 giant buzzards in a circle !
Kill them one by one and circle around. By the time you are finished your early kills will soon repop so that you ahave an infinite amount of buzzards there.
In no time and about 20 additional kills I had the 4 wings !

I found that the best drops were near Refuge Point in the Arathi Highlands. The buzzards that were lower lvls 31,32 dropped them... and you'll have a easier time getting them :D

I have an advice for you, if you're 40 and above and you want to do this quest.
I didn't want to do it, but I didn't abandon it. So I went to Tanaris, and I was surprised when a Roc (https://classicdb.ch/?npc=5428) dropped me these wings. So while I was leveling, I've done this quest.
You don't need to kill Buzzard from Badlands to end it.

You can get the buzzard wings you need from the dread swoops in desolace. They are all about level 32, which is much easier. I got a drop rate of about 75%, which is also excellent.

Drop Rate is ok( that's very rare)- some buzzards 40,41 lvl&nbsp here : 14.59&nbsp &nbsp

I've ran around 15,60 killing all the Buzzards around the ring but I've yet to get even one wing. I've killed at least 30 so far.

These also drop off Roc's in Tanaris. From what i've seen very commonly too. Roc have just been attacking me and I decided to look if the wings were for anything. Glad I did.

Tanaris is south of ratchet, can also say gadgetzan ..stuff is 40-44 mainly in the area i'm in but doable at 38 with a hunter.

In Badlands go apocryphan's rest... those giant buzzards drop them. Only killed 7 before i was done. Cords are 17,60

I had no problem getting all the buzzard wings I needed in the badlands, and I was level 37.&nbsp Finding Rigglefuzz again was harder for me.

Don't know why the level on this is so high--you can clearly do it at a much lower level (maybe even level 30) if you know what you're doing. ESPECIALLY since you can get the wings off of other buzzards, like the ones in desolace :P

the ring of buzzards is located 15,59 and yes drop rate is great. I got my 4 by killing 7 of them.

...I got my wings killing buzzards... In Arathi Highlands. Cant tell the drop rate because it was a go-by quest: I was doing other stuff, and when I saw a buzzard, I killed it until I had the 4 wings.

For some simpler directions for anyone who doesnt use Cosmos or any other UI. On your map between Kargath and Dustbelch Grotto. Theres a corpse that looks like some bones its closer to Kargath. But if you goto the bones on your map thats were a bunch of giant buzzards are. I did this quest at lvl42 and i recieved 2350XP Booty Bay faction Increased. Also, For anyone who might not have Kargath or Dustbelch Grotto uncovered on there map yet. Each one is in the far left corners, kargath top, dustbelch bottom.

Did it together with http://classicdb.ch/?quest=2258 , got both drops from birds pretty fast.

I also recomend to do those 2 quests with quest for Coyote jaws too, then time spent worth it.
