Locate the Smokywood Pastures investigator that has gone missing in the snowy regions of the Alterac Mountains.

Description

Listen... not to shatter the magic of the season here, but Smokywood Pastures could use some assistance - the kind you adventuring types are known to give.

We're missing an important shipment of treats that was restocking us for the season, and now we're missing the agent of Smokywood Pastures that we sent out to the field to find it! Please - the shipment was last reported in the Alterac Mountains, and that's where our man went to look for it.

See if both are out there, safe and sound!

You'll find him in Alterac mountains (cordinates 35, 72). He looks like a snowman ans gives you a new quest.

he is standing in the middle of three trees across the snow from Frostmaw's cave, a bit to the south and west.

He respawned every 5 min at exactly 45,66 for 6 times in a row, if that means anything.

The best way to get the greench for me was doing these 3 things, I hope they help someone else.

1. Find a party and keep it full.

2. Ride around on your mount until you see Greench's corpse, then have your party camp that area. Dont let them split up to much it's going to be hard to keep alive with everyone helping you kill it. The best way is just to have the full party stand there and camp that spot, so you wont have to wait around, or leave anyone without it.

3. Set a instant on your hotkey 1, and then keep pushing tab, 1, tab, 1 until you get him. "This part is not really needed, I assumed it helped me jump the gun on the rest so thats why I'm saying it now. It is also recommended to turn your sound down or error speach off from your sound options."

Well, I completed this quest four times, but never was able to loot the body, though I saw sparkles on every one of them. Something bugged in the quest.

First go to the snowman, he is at 35,72 in Alterac Mountains. Then look for the Greench, lv 36 elite wandering the same area.

For those that haven't realized it yet, this is a winter holidays-only quest line. So, don't go looking for Grinch.. I mean Greench.. in March or any month other than late December.

I just hope they bring these quests back for next year's holiday season.

He spawns not only in 1 location...

If you don't see him near the snowman, ride past the cave, across the dirt, and around back. If you still don't see him (he's a very big darker-colored yeti), kill a bunch of yeti's in a confined area and keep your eyes open.

the snowman you have to talk to is in the south west part of the snowy mountain area -- just look for the dot on your mini map

the greenich respawns randomly as one of the yeti's, so just look where all the yeti's spawn and if he isn't there start killing yeti's so that he has a spot to respawn

Not fun...about 12 50+ horde camping the location on Illidan as of 10 min ago, tried to get to him but got ganked of course..logged as a spirit and will try again in an hour or so...ugh.

The snowman is in front of the yeti cave,at the snowy part. The elite yeti can spawn at 4 spots around the humanoid elite castle thingy,not in there,but if you run around it outside the walls you will find the q mob,its lvl 36,and it can turn you into a snowman,for 5 secs. the spawn time is 5-7 minute,depending on server. gl to hunting.
