Locate and return the Stolen Treats to Wulmort Jinglepocket in Ironforge. It was last thought to be in the possession of the Abominable Greench, found somewhere in the snowy regions of the Alterac Mountains.

Description

A c-c-creature called "The Abominable Greench" is the one w-w-who stole our shipment of t-t-treats, <name>. Be c-c-careful though! He is t-t-the one who turned me into this s-s-snowy mess!

You're g-g-gonna need some help in f-f-facing him. I've seen him w-w-wander all around where the y-y-yeti are; he's s-s-surely here s-s-somewhere! F-f-find the treats <name>, take them b-b-back to Smokywood Pastures in Ironforge, and t-t-tell them I n-n-need to be unfrozen!

I am on the Shadowsong server currently and the greench is working fine here. He can be located at 31,66 for those that need it and he respawns fairly quick

GOOD LUCK! (you will need it)
tips:
-GET INTO A GROUP OF 5!
&nbsp &nbsp (raid parties won't cut it)
-STAY NEAR THE GROUP OF TREES
&nbsp &nbsp (to the west and south of where you found the
&nbsp &nbsp &nbsp snowman)
-DO SOMETHING WHILE WAITING
&nbsp &nbsp (he spawns about every 15 minutes) i seggest
&nbsp &nbsp picking up about 300 snowballs and then throwing
&nbsp &nbsp them at people...
-IF THERE ARE A MILLION PEOPLE THERE TRY AGAIN LATER!
&nbsp &nbsp (no seriously i wasted like 2 hours of my time
&nbsp &nbsp and my group never tagged him because there were
&nbsp &nbsp 60 people in the area... i came back at an odd
&nbsp &nbsp hour the next day and only two groups of 5 and i
&nbsp &nbsp tagged him within a half hour)

Greench spawns in 4 spots.&nbsp It rotates randomley every 5 minutes.&nbsp Pick a spot and camp.&nbsp

When he spawns, he yells RAWRRRRRRR

Picked him off 1st try.

36 Elite and he will change you into a snowman.&nbsp

The Greench only spawns in one of four locations, just pick one and camp the spot he spawns on and you'll have it in 20 mins tops regardless of how many people are there.

The drop rate is 100%, done it 5-6 times and got a drop each time someone has had the quest. You need to talk to the snowman that is in the hills after picking up the quest, he is the one that tells you to kill the greench.

Got two blacksmithing recipies, two alchemy recipies, and an enchanting recipe. I'm a happy camper, my main is an alchemist, and my alt is an enchanter... so I am just sharing recipies with friends, as they do for me... good stuff.

look out for his yell and then start running around, i found it best to be ina&nbsp group so i had a better chance of finding him.

I was really lucky i saw him and somebody else was fighting it. So i yelled for an invite before he dies. And that nice girl invited me. So just ask for party invites if u see other people fighting it. The most people in WoW are nice. =)

Uhm.. he is a random spawn. You cant set spesific cordinates. He spawns at the same places as the Yetis

Easy, he was at around 31,49. Killed him with ease. Turned it in to receive 3300 xp, and got another quest to talk to Granfather again to get another 1950 Xp and a pattern: green holiday silk shirt. Not too shabby!

I was lucky enough not to have much competition, but I found him at 31,53. He had just spawned because he did his RAWR bit just before I killed him.

Aerie Peak Server-
He has quite a few spawning points, every listed above is correct.

I went there around 9am server and musta been camped by like 15 people every other spot. Don't do that, its ridiculous as the person above mentioned. Went last night at about midnight-1am server and no one was around, he was standing right in front of me the second I rode up. Was in a raid unfortunately that first down.. GRR! >< Dont Be in a Raid

Then another 15 minutes and I downed him, grabbed the treats and took some pictures.

He turns you into a snowman if you take too long to kill him.

He looks significantly larger and more brown than other yetis in the area, heres some visuals.

Easily soloed as a 40 hunter, just made a macro to target him, and ran around on my mount until I found him. Did it in 5 minutes tops. For other hunters, you can turn on Track Giants, since he's the only one (that I know of) there.

Went there when it wasn't too busy (finally) and found him after about 10 minutes.

At least on my server everyone seemed to be grouped and very unselfish. All the singles got in a 5-man, killed the greench, said "TY" when it was over, and parted ways.

I got 8250 xp for this quest.

3300 for turning in the stolen treats and then 4950 for running 10 feet to santa for the reward.

Even though I am an alchemist - I got the Patten for the green holiday shirt (tailoring).

Wait - so how exactly do you get to do it multiple times? I got the blacksmithing recipe, but I'd really like to have the Tailoring one seeing as that's what my profession is :P. Could someone post a step-by-step on how to do it multiple times?

I got 3300 exp for bringing back the treats, then another 4950 just for walking the 5 feet to talk to Greatfather Winter. Not a bad reward, but I'm still not sure if it's worth it. You have to camp the spawn points for possibly hours because so many other people are doing the same thing. The only reason I managed to get the Greench as fast as I did was because he decided to spawn right on top of me. Plus, if your group isn't right there with you, they don't get the loot.

All in all, a very frustrating and time-consuming quest.

Ok, dumb question maybe, but how do you get the other rewards? Is the quest repeatable? Are you doing it with alts? One guy on the horde side posted he had gotten 3 or 4 different rewards so far. What's the deal?

Is anyone having trouble finding the Greench on Uther or any other server?
I've been killing yeti's in Alterac for nearly 3hrs with no sign of him.
Group is camped spread out all through the mountains with "tracking"... nothing.

Is the spawn broken?

I was up there again the next day - and as a level 34 hunter with a level 34 pet cat, I was able to take down the level 35 Elite Greench handily! He's not really that big and bad... and the most annoying thing he did was turn me into a snowman :D

the spawn is broken because blizzard decided to take the greench out without notification. you can still get the quest, but you can't complete it.

The Abominable Greench spawn's at 2 places 29,60 and 32,47 and then again 29,60 and so on.

Works fine on skywall. Campers are the only problem. Found him several times but always too late. Took maybe 30 mins. He spawns all over where the yeti's are.

I went with a small guild group of friends last night, and lucked out finding him within five minutes of getting the quest from the snowman. He was slightly northwest of him.

Although, my GM was there the night before for 2 hours he said, and had no luck... We just lucked out and heard "Abominable Greench yells: RROOOOAAAAAR" or something of the like... I picked him up on tracking, and voila :)

BTW, Server was Silver Hand. That poor Horde was crying when we slaughtered it right in front of her! HAHA
