Find Hammertoe's Amulet and return it to him in Uldaman.

Description

Ye're brave... <cough>... to come into Uldaman fer me, <class>.

If ye're really here to help... ol' Hammertoe, then... <cough>... you'll need to find... me amulet.

Deepshadow's got it... Magregan Deepshadow. He's 'round here... in the ruins fer sure. That amulet'll lead 'em... <cough>... right to the scrolls if he ain't stopped. It's up to you, <name>. Please... get that amulet.

The scrolls will surely help the Dark Irons create even more powerful golems. I just know it. I can feel it in me bones.

The mob (Magregan Deepshadow) you want to kill is NOT IN ULDAMAN. When you begin your journey into the very first cave from Badlands, act like you're going to the instance...when you come to your first fork in the road...there should be Troggs on oneside and Dwarfs on the other. Deepshadow will find his way to the fork if you don't feel like fighting your way through the Dwarfs to get him if he isn't there already ;)

He's in the south of Uldaman cave. He is near the troggs. He is the dwarf with a sword. When you come to the junction where you have a choice to go into the room with the troggs or the room with the dwarfs, just stand there, and he'll show up coming from the room with the dwarfs.

The quest mob is still buggged.&nbsp The solution to fixing the quest mob is not reinstalling or deleting your folders, someone needs to kill him.&nbsp GM's will not do this for you, I've tried asking.

The dwarf that drops the ammy is in the same hall with the Tablet in the chest.

I too found Hammertoe to be unresponsive.&nbsp Sent a GM ticket and he got back to me in about 20 minutes.&nbsp He was able to re-set the NPC and I was then able to turn in.&nbsp This was 22May06

When you return the amulet to Hammertoe Gretz (54,57 at acampfire in the early cave before the instance), he gives you this quest and promptly despawns leaving the entire group without an NPC to turn the amulet in to and complete the quest.

The quest thankfully drops multiple Hammertoe amulets to turn in but you have to wait several minutes for respawn which is what I am doing right now. Hammertoe Gretz took about 4 to 5 minutes to respawn.

The Amulet drops off Magregan Deepshadow a lvl 38 (Elite). Magregan Deepsahdow can be found around the following Co-ords.
(54,58)

After obtaining the amulet and returning it to Hammertoe you will be givin the "Prospect of Faith" quest.

I had the same problem two days ago, where I got the amulet but Hammertoe was not talkable and did not have a question mark. Put in a help ticket, and a GM replied after a bit saying that they had reset the mob. Sure enough, when I went back all was fine and I could complete the quest successfully.

I just finished the quest and went to Hammerteo to turn in and can not talk to him. he doesn't even have a question mark above his head. I tried doing what was described to do in the above comment and put the amulet in the back pack and yet it still did nothing. I put in a ticket with te Gm's will respond with what they say.

TO GET HAMMERTOE TO WORK YOU MUST RECEIVE THE QUEST FROM THE ORIGINAL NPC IN THE BADLANDS NEAR THE FIRST DIGSITE JUST SITE SOUTH OF ULDAMAN

After getting the amulet I returned to him and was not able to talk to him (no yellow question mark over his head). I came back later to the area and he had the question mark over his head.

Magregan Deepshadow (the guy that drops the amulet) was found in the caverns outside of the instance. He is one of the dark dwarves.

54,58 is a big square but just a little around the corner to the southeast of where we found Hammertoe,we found Magregan Deepshadow.

Just helped a guildy do this tonight and it appears the quest may be bugged. He got the quest, got the amulet, but then Hammertoe was no longer "active" - i.e., he couldn't turn the quest back in. We bugged it and are waiting for a response.

All the comments here are kind of misleading. I stood waiting at 54,58 a hell of a long time.
Search for Magregan Deepshadow as a NPC and read Liandra's comment, that's what helped me find him.

Where is this guy, hes not the dwarf boss in the instance and I have checked all over the cave outside the instance, I cannot find him anywhere.&nbsp Can someone please point me to his location?

The quest is only rated 40+, so it cant be too far into Uldaman (where there are 42+, 44+, etc...)
My only guess is maybe it is outside of the instance because I couldnt find him in the instance.
