Emphasis on Sacrifice

Travel to Ironforge and get High Priest Rohan's Exorcism Censer. You will need to make a donation of 150 gold in order to secure it.
  •
Required Money: 150

Description

In order to prepare yourself for this task, you must first show due sacrifice and judgment... with an emphasis on sacrifice.

You must acquire High Priest Rohan's exorcism censer for your task. Even though its use will be for good and just reasons, due compensation must be given for it.

Proceed to Ironforge and speak with the High Priest. By bringing ample coin with you to help offset the loss of his censer, it will show your due sacrifice.

Go now <name>, time is of the essence.

Your comment helped me all the way to the last step, thanks tho.

You need highest ranks in following Seals:

* Seal of Wisdom (rank 3) -> Banality
* Seal of Justice (rank 1) -> Malicious
* Seal of Righteousness (rank 8) -> Corrupted
* Seal of Light (rank 4) -> Shadowed

or else your judgement does nothing. I wiped at the 3rd part because my seal wasnt rank 8.

Completed this quest today as a lvl 61 protection pala, with help from a lvl 70 fury warrior. The final stage was relatively simple, as long as you run for a corner after placing the Scryer. From here you won't pull the entire room of ghosts at once, and can instead fight smaller groups of them using the correct judgement every time it's available.

Also, be aware that simply attacking the ghosts with the correct seal applied appears to have a small chance to proc the AoE effect as well so don't leave everything to the people helping you. The effect cannot be refreshed though, so wait until it wears off before judging your seal if you get a proc from normal hits.

Each wave of ghosts is followed by an Aspect, which is a larger and significantly tougher single ghost with similar vulnerabilities and attacks to its counterparts. The death of the Aspect of Shadow triggers Darkreaver to spawn, and both the Aspect and Darkreaver himself wil aggro on spawning no matter where you try to hide in the room. Because of this, your rest stop before Darkreaver should be taken before you pull the last of the regular Shadowed ghosts as once you spawn the Aspect you're in combat until Darkreaver is dead.

Be ready to bubble if Darkreaver uses his mind control ability successsfuly, you don't want to get killed by accidental (or, of course, purposeful - some people love to take those kind of opportunities ;)) whirlwinds, cleaves and so on or get beaten down by a controlled part member. My level 70 counterpart resisted it once, and I bubbled out when he used it on me. Darkreaver will also use Blessing of Protection on himself just before he dies in true paladin style, but he won't heal himself so all you have to worry about is living a little longer. This shouldn't be too taxing, as Darkreaver is a bit of a pansy as far as bosses go.

you need x10 arcianite bars from what i remember, and you should have artisan riding skill after getting the mount, if you check your skills, you should have the regular riding skill already there. After that you can get new mounts like the pvp ones.

Ok kids. for those of you who are confused and sad and dejected by this whole sordid affair, here's how being a paladin in this mans alliance works.

the quest to get your awesome charger of glowingness is a BILINEAL TWO PART CHAIN.

For those of you who do not know what that means I have prepared this simple diagram.

(check formatted link at the bottom, Allak eats my ascii.)

what this means in laymans terms is there are actually TWO start quests here. go get the censure from dwarfgar mcpriestly and then go on a convoluted journey to feed a ghost horse some cookie crumbs.

THINGS TO WATCH OUT FOR

The dwarf who makes your barding? HE TAKES YOUR CRAP AND LEAVES THE SHOP. he goes over to the FORGE and FORGES your FORGED PLATE BARDING. (it's a forgery.)

He then books back, hauls ass really, back to his shop. no little happy arrow shows up on his head, you just gotta be like "Yo nub where's my horsemail?"

When you get your bland chargerplate from him, lord blinky the paladin king sends you on a quest to get oats from southshore. ghost oats. for a ghost horse. You remember how arthas kept his horse in WC3? well apparently the NOBLE HORSE SPIRIT gets corrupted with the deathknight. or something. your whole adventure revolves around befriending casper the friendly horse.

HOW YOU DO THIS AND WHAT TO WATCH OUT FOR

Once you grind friendly with the argent dawn (not hard, pansies.) you buy 20 cookies and give the wench in southshore 50g. she gets all redeemed on your case but keeps your money. she gives you a bag of oats and sends you off to feed a spectral horse who's apparently been stuck inside of a tree for 10 000 years, rotting in the ruins of the Highborn Diremaul. When you go find the tree (instance west side of the main courtyard. needs a crescent key. if you don't have that, get someone to die inside and ghost through the door/open it from within. alternately all go flag pvp in the conveniently located ogre arena and kill eachother at no armor cost.ghost into the instance like that.) the tree is in the far west end in a big pit in the floor.

Rotenknots McWoodenface sucks. he's a L.60 elite, but that's not so bad. just when you hit him he calls all his homie trees to come beat your ass down. he also hits like a warmule. so clean house upstairs before engaging.

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=--=-=-=-=-=-=-
Beating him down awards you with the opportunity to put your shiny metal baldric on the ghosthorse after you feed him some oats. make sure you have the damned thing with you. don't bank it, don't drop it, don't destroy it, and -=- don't -=- forget -=- it -=- with -=- the -=- dwarf.
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=--=-=-=-=-=-=-

from here on it's pretty straight forward. You have a blessed metal horsemail thingajobber and have to go to Scholomanse with a thinger you made from a pristine black diamond and an azerothan diamond with glitters, lord of the paladins. In a basement room beside a musty old pile of paintcans and some forgotten fluorescent lightbulbs (or something) you have to summon a death knight, kick him in the junk and steal his horse.

YOU GET
PALADIN CHARGER
RIDE 150
CREDIT CARD DEBT

This boss sucks, you don't get to steal his weapon to use against dr. wiley.

and that, as far as I remember, is that.

in the words of me:

Estimated Gold needed for this quest.

150g - Exorcism Censer.
150g - Donation to Elmore for crafting.
50g - Enriched Feed
1-2g - Pristine Black Diamond
4-5g - Azerothian Diamond
150g - Arcanite Bar x6 (buyout from AH)
free - Stratholme Holy Water
3-4g - Runecloth x40 (buyout from AH)
5-9g - Arthas' Tears (buyout from AH)
80s - Enriched Manna Biscuits

The total comes out to 520g 80s. This will vary greatly upon the AH of your server. Right now, prices are very high due to the Tier 0 upgrade quests. At any rate, I don't expect to spend more than 600g on these quests. It is a lot better than spending the 800-900g for a typical epic mount, and significantly less time than ranking up to Commander for the 90g epic mount. That is if you plan properly and not wait until you hit 60 to start gathering the materials.

This quest is given by Lord Greyson in Stormwind City. After dinging lvl 60 speak with any Paladin trainer and they will tell you to go speak with him. He gives you this quest and "Collection of Goods" to start the Paladin epic mount quests. This one is pretty straightforward, take 150 gold to Rohan and he gives you the censer which you take back to Grayson in Stormwind. He will then give you another quest "Exorcising Terrordale" which will require this item.

Step 5: Ancient Equine Spirit (http://classicdb.ch/?quest=7643)
Head to Dire Maul to find an ancient spirit of a horse. In Dire Maul west there is a treant, Tendris Warpwood, that you need to kill. Once you kill him, the spirit of the horse will come out and you can talk to it.
Actually, oddly enough, I was doing Dire Maul West on my Warrior for a Warlock's mount quest. The Equine Spirit was not at Warpwood, but was instead near the pylons in the center of the first wing of DM:W. It seems that it may not be necessary to kill the boss, but I am unsure if this was some sort of glitch.

I would like to add a little bit that could help. When you get to the last room and clear it, and after you put down the scryer, the waves come in 4 different colors. I think it goes like this: scraggly looking blue, then solid blue, then green, then purple. Also, it seems like it takes forever...that is, each wave seems to go on and on (in reality, I think each wave only lasted 2-4 minutes.) Patience! When we did it, the last guy was up on the mound and as soon as we killed it, the boss appeared.

Our makeup: 2 rogues (70 and 61), a lock (57), and 2 palys (a 70 and a 60.)
