Death's Embrace

Additional requirements to obtain this quest:
Bring me all three and I will create a powerful enchantment for you!
Punctured Voodoo Doll
Arcanum of Rapidity
Primal Hakkari Kossack

Description

Zanza can create the ancient troll enchantments with the right components.

The first is a primal token that must be taken from the most powerful of the Hakkari.

The second is a punctured voodoo doll. These can be found in the piles of refuse that litter this foul place. Look inside the jinxed hoodoo piles.

The last is the high elven facsimile of troll magic known as the Arcanum. I do not know where they can be found.

Though this enchant is really quite good, even up to 70, the Glyph of Ferocity from Cenarion Expedition is much more useful for the raiding rogue and can be found here:

https://classicdb.ch/?item=29192

It requires revered with Cenarion Expedition, which some would argue is easier to obtain, as opposed to finding anyone who actually wants to do ZG any more.

Rapidity is a bit tricky on our server since it's quite rare to find, let alone get. I did fortantly buy one way.. way back when Librams were introduced just for the pictures, now I need another one, It's a beg for both alliance and horde to see about buying.

Correct me if I'm wrong: The weapon damage formula for daggers is normalized at 1.8(?) I believe.

so that means the weapon damage you receive as a dagger rogue with this enchant is (28/14)*2 = +4 weapon damage

Not including armor mitigation, it would add 4*180% damage to a backstab (7ish/14ish crit) or 4*300% damage to an ambush (12/24 crit)

If you include armor, expect something like 10 damage higher on a backstab crit vs cloth, 18ish higher on an ambush.

If it had 10 stamina like nearly every other class.

Rogues and Mages got screwed on ZG enchants.

Dude... 28 AP... DUDE! 28 AP!

TWENTY EIGHT ATTACK POWER...

If 1% dodge is the penalty I have to live
with to get 28 AP (!) then sure, fine...

The regents for this thing drops every second anyhow

Uhm, dodge is like the best thing a rogue can have when the mobs do some sort of aoe melee dmg, like the flying things (Qiraji Slayers?) between Emperors and C'Thun in AQ40. Dodging their "cleave" raises your dps :). And it's now that bad in pvp either, I'd rather dodge the warriors MS than taking the ms and then dodging a normal hit and get a phat overpower, or something like that :P

Just need the Primal Hakkari drop now. Hope i can loot it soon. Of all the possible enchants you can put on head legs this is byfar the best. Or am i mistaken? :)

Is this quest repeatable? Would have been really cool to have it on both legs and head :P

For a rogue this is indeed by far the best enchant there is.

Can't help wondering though.. rogues in raids/guilds good enough to clear Zul'Gurub (and therefor most likely do Molten Core etc.) do not gain aggro, thus don't need dodge. It's like rewarding us with an attribute all raids encourage us not to use. If we gain aggro in any high-end instances - with 1% dodge or not - we're toasted within a couple of seconds.

1% hit would make alot more sense.

id rather have high dodge and take the overpower so i can avoid the executes that are thrown my way, since overpower is on a 5 second cool down, as long as your not mashing SS or BS you shouldnt have a problem stunlock/kiting/riposting/and dodging the attacks of said warrior.

The attack power is nice, but the +1% dodge is going to make warrior fights even worse.

Personally Id rather have 10Stam then 1% Dodge, howcome all the other classes get stam and we get screwed?
