Description

Now that I have the Twilight Lexicon in my possession, there is a small favor I'd like to ask of you.

My former organization has a secret encoded bulletin they circulate on a monthly basis.

If they make any progress searching for me or if they call off the search, word will be published on the True Believer.

Although this information is obviously valuable to me, the publication contains other useful information that I can share. Bring me any encoded texts you find on Twilight's Hammer members.

You do get more of a reward from this than what is listed above.

Within 24 hours of turning in the texts, you'll get a letter from Ortell in the mail. Along with a letter, you'll get a package of documents that were supposedly translated from those texts.

Those will vary from decrypted texts that contain news about the Twilight Cultists, buff scrolls, and certain rare plans.

In fact, this is the only way to acquire "Darkrune" armor plans for blacksmiths, "Runed Stygian" armor patterns for tailors, and scrolls to create the "Crest of Beckonings" aside from camping out the AH for them.

This is also a repeatable quest, meaning you can keep turning in stacks of 10 encrypted twilight texts to Ortell instead of to the NPC in Cenarion Hold. However, while you will get items for the turn ins, you will not get any rep.

When you do this you receive a package in the mail 8 hours later with 2-4 of the following possible rewards:

Decoded Twilight Text - Random twilight letters
Scroll: Create Signet of Beckoning
Scroll: Create Scepter of Beckoning
Scroll: Create Crest of Beckoning
Scroll of Agility IV
Scroll of Protection IV
Pattern: Runed Stygian Belt
Pattern: Runed Stygian Leggings
Pattern: Runed Stygian Boots
Plans: Darkrune Helm
Plans: Darkrune Gauntlets
Plans: Darkrune Breastplate

Most of the time its 2 junk texts which have no use other than reading, a scroll, and a Beckoning item. If you are very lucky you'll get a plan or pattern.

This NPC will mail you information anout 8 hours after turning them in . he mails you a bag of stuff.&nbsp my first bag had some item to summon a certain elemental.&nbsp

my second bag had a Blue tailoring recipe for a cloth belt.

it was a 15stamina, 20 shadow resist belt . with mana regen.

not bad

I got a pack in the mail along with a letter that reads

"Esteemed <Name>,

I went through the stack of texts you brought me and I decoded the attached articles for you. I carefully selected only those items which I thought would be of use. It was quite problematic to get to a mailbox without being seen, but months of hiding in the desert have turned me into quite a sneak!"

Inside the "Decoded True Believer Clippings" pack was an agility IV scroll and a "Decoded Twilight Text"

All twilight members can drop them so just farm through the camps...

You can find the Encrypted Twilight Text ( http://classicdb.ch/?item=20404 ) by killing the twilight guards in the twilight post,base camp and outpost.

At 58 I recieved 6400 experience, this quest can be repeated.&nbsp Not sure if it tappers or not -- recomend you do faction instead.

the twilight prophets (60 elites) who patrol camp to camp with 4 non elite guards usually drop 5 + texts so if ur grinding them this is a good source

The prophets 4 escorts are non-elites though they do hit fast. It is possible to solo her but that's about it the other 4 will probably kill you afterwards.

I got ]Pattern: Runed Stygian Boots and ]Pattern: Runed Stygian Belt in the mail for turning in batches of 10 Encrypted Twilight Text to Hermit Ortell. I did this several times and mostly got the more common rewards for completing the quest including ]Decoded Twilight Text.

If you want faction rewards, don't do this quest. Instead, turn in the twilight texts to Bor Wildmane in Cenarion Hold.
