The Twilight Lexicon

Bring the three chapters of the Twilight Lexicon to Hermit Ortell in Silithus.

Description

The Twilight's Hammer are not kind to those that leave their ranks. They hunt me to this day like I'm some sort of beast! Needless to say, an enemy of theirs is a friend of mine!

To decipher this Tablet I'll need the book used by their scribes to encode secret messages: the Twilight Lexicon. It's such an important tool that they keep its three chapters in different locations! The officers entrusted with the Lexicon are known as Twilight Keepers, look for them at the Twilight's Hammer camps.

The three keepers are in the various camps throughout Silithus.

Twilight Keeper Manya at the Twilight Post in the northwest. Holds lexicon 1.

Twilight Keeper Exeter at the Twilight Outpost in the southwest. Holds lexicon 2.

Twilight Keeper Havunth at the Twilight Base Camp, just southwest of Cenarian Hold. Holds lexicon 3.

All are level 60 and more difficult than the enemies around them.

yes each guy is at that location maybe alittle off but they get there :)

i just kept shieldin myself and usin smite and mind blast and it worked ...weird hehe

For the one at the Twilight Outpost, found the keeper far in the back along the northeast mountains surrounding the area.

At the Twilight Post, found her walking back and forth along the southern edge.

At the Twilight Base Camp, found him walking back and forth along the western entrance.

It was easy for me since the realm I am on had people farming the area. No need to worry about adds.

level 54 resto druid, frostmourne server. this chain gives fantastic XP with surprisingly little effort. i found from this point onwards its a little difficult but doing the only way a druid knows how, slow and steady, i managed ok - couple of deaths but meh, what else would you expect.

Book 1: Keeper Mayna is found at Twilight Post to the north west. She wanders the camp, so just check her whereabouts.

Book 2: Keeper Exeter is found in the south west camp in the corner near the mountain side. Here you will have to clear the area of a few mobs to get to him.

Book 3: Keeper Havunth is found near the Twilight basecamp just outside Centarion City. This keeper too wanders the ground around the camp.

Tried this last night after the 1.9 patch. Got #1 & #3 on the first kill. We killed Exeter over 10 times and no drop. People in the zone said he was bugged, not sure but it seems it to me.

I spent a while trying to fight my way into the first camp until I realized Mayna patrols the outskirts of the camp. All three infact patrol the outskirts thier camp and are easy to single pull.

HINT: When you turn in this quest, bring 10xEncrypted Twilight Texts with you, because Hermit Ortell gives you a quest with that when you have taken the last quest "A Terrible Purpose".

When I did Mayna tonight, she just sat there and did nothing. It wasn't that she didn't hit me - she didn't even turn around, so I just shred her repeatedly. Must be bugged.

Havunth's AE hurts, but defintely can deal with it. Exeter's stuns tend to be more annoying, and you have to clear the camp a bit first.

By the way, quick note, Keeper Manya has Shadow Word: Pain (not that it really does much dmg overall) and Psychic Scream and loves spamming them. So unless you can break fear, be ready for that.

Simple as a 57 warrior. Don't need to kill more than 1-2 mobs to get to each keeper, and the Keepers themselves are simple. Took about 10 minutes, and got me 8.3k xp ^.^

Watch out for the Twilight Keeper Havunth because he pulls out some massive burst damage, you cant stop it, its instant cast rips into your health fair quickly. Cooirdinates 40,41

As a 59 Warrior:
Exeter was pretty easy - straight up melee fight.
Havunth required a sup healing potion - he does a lot of magic dps and it seemed like they were instant casts because I didn't see anything to pummel.
Mayna went down quickly - I think she's a priest, feared me right before she died ^.^

Did this quest yesterday with my Def-minded Warrior (lvl 59). Dropped all 3 books in one try. Hardest part for me was Havunth who kept blasting fire things at me (had to drink a major healing potion there).

Nice and simple quest. just go to the 3 twilight camps (2 W of Cenarion Hold and the one far SW) and w8 for the masters to show up near the camps.They patrol.easy kills for a 58 Mage. Just keep your distance from master Havunth he AoE's hard!

finished as 57 lock. All coords are about right, but the keepers tend to roam 1 or 2 in either direction. No mobs more than 61, easy quest

Solo'd at 57. Havunth and Exeter are pushovers. Mayna fears loads, and if you don't clear the area beforehand you're almost guaranteed to draw adds... which is a problem when you're a lvl 57 squishie.

Pretty easy quest actually. I thought I had to kill every single Twilight Activist in those camps, but the Keepers walk outside the camps, and aren't bodyguarded.

After 3 days of hunting for Mayna off and on, I'm certain she's not spawning at all. Even done laps around the camp looking for her corpse, but no go. Gonna send in a ticket today, 7.24.6. I'll add their response later.
