Decoy!

Additional requirements to obtain this quest:
Narain Soothfancy in Tanaris wants you to travel to Winterspring and place the Bag of Gold at the drop off point documented by the booknappers.
  •
Who Does Number Two Work For?
Provided Item:
Narain's Special Kit

Description

I've got it! Here's what we're going to do. I'm going to fill a sack up with rocks and you're going to make the drop. I know it said that I should make the delivery and I'm going to - sort of.

<Narain looks you up and down.>

Yes, you will do just fine. Take this turban, robe, and sack of rocks and head to the drop off point in Winterspring.

I've included everything you need in this special kit. When they show up to pick up the goods, snuff them out! That will teach them to mess with Narain!

Currently the highest experience-rewarding quest. Was true at time of writing.

This quest and the NPC it spawns is a reference to the 1960s cult TV series "The Prisoner", in which the protagonist would constantly ask, "Who Does Number Two Work For?". He is finally introduced to a man wearing an ape mask.

Number Two is a cool looking, large gorilla that you sorta summon in Winterspring.&nbsp He has about 77k HP and hits my mage for about 1700.&nbsp You'll probably want a tank, healer, and DPS to down him.
Approx. location in Winterspring is 68,73.&nbsp Just go left after the bridge and follow up to the cliffs.

Kited up the road and then around Everlook. Used 4 mana pots. This quest line all in all requires lots of help from guild mates, so I believe it's better to solo everything you can to give them less trouble. Don't abuse their kindness remember, you'll have to convince them to do dr. Weavil sometime soon! )

Had to use about 5 mana pots, but other than that, pretty straight forward kiting.

I tried to duo this guy, two boxing my rogue and druid. he hit me for 1200, crit for 2400, and is immune to stuns. don't try to do this without a real tank.

after I died he despawned, but you can get another "special kit" from narian to do it again.

3 manned him, me (rogue) paladin and warrior. Number two hits hard. You lose the costume only through leaving winterspring and not through death. More than one person can do it at once me and the pala did it together.

Be careful you don't get too excited and accidentally fall off the side of the mountain.&nbsp =(&nbsp You end up having to spirit rez in Azshara.&nbsp Otherwise it's a long ass run back to your body (through Ashenvale and Felwood).&nbsp

Finished this today.&nbsp Took about 16 minutes after dropping the Sack of Gold for Number Two to show up.&nbsp So be patient.&nbsp It's a "Known Issue" per GM support.
