The only thing I have read regarding the questline from blizz is that anyone can do it after it is over. I did not hear "You can do the questline untill you get the scepter... and then you do nothing with it..."

despite the rumours, it is not instant cast. just like every normal epic, 3sec casting and 100% speed.

insta cast 3k dmg stealthing WTF are you talking about your all a bunch of noobs cmon take it eazy and change game liar and noobz
its a fakin normal mount no stealth no dmg no fly and its fast like a fakin epic mount noobs..dont talk about something that you dont know!

i heard that after opening the gates the gong is still bangable but when it is banged 4 dragons spawned and if you can survive the attacks and kill them all you can get the reward

They are instant summon and can fly. They can also use stealth while flying and they can hit for 3k dmg.

god damnit, i hate these "only one person on ur server will get it" items, it pisses me off. legendaries should be from very difficult quests, but possible for anyone. all this means is that the leader or the first big raid guild on each server will get it, cuz the leader will get to do the honors of opening...im pissed. o well, its no better than zulian tiger or that raptor from ZG or any epic mount for that matter, the reason its so "good" is because only one can get it, more of a trophy than a usable prize, looks kinda dumb...a purple beetle...wow...still pissed though

If more than a few people could get this item, there would be no point in calling it "Legendary." Those who put forth the time and effort to recieve such an item should get one that stands out, because not only the fact that they put tons of hours into it, but they were able to comeplete it. Only the best of the best will get these items due to they are good people and their guild is willing to put forth such efforts to get this for a person.

Why does blizzard do things like this? my highest level character is a 32. On that server the gates were opened several days ago. So tell me how i am supposed to get this mount? I am perfectly willing to put the time and effort in to get trophies like this, but if i cant get my shot then what am i supposed to do?

I saw this itemized on Wowguru about a month and a half ago, and I thought "Oh cool, that'd be a nifty drop to get" but now I see that you can only get the mount if you're the one that hits the gong to open AQ? What kind of crap is that? Blizzard needs to stop doing things like this..

I just wanna point out one thing! Most of the whiners here (not you low lvl's cause you'd have a hard time aquiring items such as this as well as lvl up to the cap in time) need to make a small "note to self":

If you wanna aquire something like this then READ THE PATCHNOTES and READ THE UPCOMING FEATURES on the world of warcraft website! Also, check for updates on the forums and keep on top of things! If you do this, you will have an advantage in terms of knowing what is going to happen, thus be ready to tackle the tasks you will need to do to aquire what you seek. Also you will have maybe a week or a even a month to prepair for it! Complaining about it later is too weak guys, seriously!

Here's a quote from the "upcoming" patch 1.9:

"Players will have to complete a world event of massive proportions before they can open the Gates of Ahn'Qiraj on their realm."

It clearly states that the players would have to join in the effort to open the gates. Players dedicated to open the gates are the ones who got the mount!

Everyone can't win the lottery and if you don't even play, how the hell do you expect to win?

I'm sorry to say this, but you have yourself to blame for not getting aquainted with the facts given freely at the wow website!

EXAMPLE:

from "upcoming Patch 2.0.1":

Druid Epic Flight Form

"The Druid Epic flight form will be available through a series of quests, similar to the Warlock and Paladin Epic mount quests before it. This quest series will also open up a new boss in Sethekk Halls, and ultimately to the epic flight form."

I can only assume and hope that the first ones to open up the boss will grant the druids who complete the quest a different epic flying form than everyone else. (however unlikely that is, but it's only an example) But I'm not gonna stick around the sideline and whine when someone else gets it! I'm gonna work my ass off to see if I can make it! If theres no "special reward" or if someone gets the "special reward" that for no reason should exist, I'll just have to suck it up and work harder the next time!

why can't they make so all the mounts from AQ works everywhere!... i saw the one person who has it on the server today..looked it up i read all the subjects above and now i'm pissed.

cant they just make a really really hard questline that needs some sort of super drop like for the "hand of ragnaros"... Blizzard is doing more and more stupid stuff everyday!...

only 1 legendary? wtf?

if theres only 1 legendary mount for each faction on a server, then explain how my guild has 3 (soon 4) legendary weaps? and thats my guild alone, i think 2-3 other guilds has gotten it as well, so tbh i think that legendary mount is obtainable, atm im only on an early stage of the Scepter questline, but i do intend to go through it all mostly to find out how hard it was in the eyes of the guildie who was Gate opener on the horde side on my realm.

there are lots of item rewards during the quest line, that im curious to find out about too.(wtb more bankslots)

I'm pretty sure you can bang the gong multiple times, but it just won't do anything after it's already opened... but the quest line is really hard to this so good luck. And about the other mounts your can pick up in the instance. The other epic mounts you can only ride inside AQ i think your can ride this one anywhere which would be pretty cool.

This is like one of those fruit rollup contests, "For a limited time only a black qiraj resonating crystal within the first 10 hours of gate opening. Many will try, few will win, Some other prizes include random epic mounts that arent black. No b****ing necessary. Whining like a noob will not increase your chances of winning". Blizzard does this stuff a lot, and it is kinda gettin annoying. But seriously, its over guys, nothin u can do besides flame blizzard with hate mail and hope they make the quest open to everybody. Kinda like teebus blazing longsword. Rverybody wanted it, but only people who killed colossus andthe general in the firth 10 hoiurs could get it. Sorry its Everybody not Rverybody cuz i know there is gonna be some losser who wants to correct me so i saved you the trouble and did it myself.

Personally it makes no difference...all it does is make people go "oh you have a cool mount".If your so worried about it then just change the mpq so your mount looks like it as well.

This Quest is part of the Gates of Ahn'Qiraj event questline.
