Description

Like the one you found at the Forgotten Pools, there may be fissures at the other oases in the Barrens. If so, then perhaps the fissures are the oases' source of life.

We must test this.

Here, take these seeds. They are dead and infertile, but take them to the Stagnant Oasis to the southeast. If there is a fissure there, then place the seeds within it...and observe.

The fissure is at the bottom of the lake at coordinates 55.95, 80.56 (updated from comments for Cataclysm)

this one is just like the one before, except rather than jsut getting close to the bubble vent, you gotta put some seeds in it, watch out for the turtles there, they are lvl 16-17 but arent too bad. There is just a good amount of them in the water and on the banks.

This is an easy quest to finish. I soloed it at lvl 15. The turtles are lvl 16 but not that tough. There is also plenty of copper and some tin for any of you miners out there. Don't forget to pick the plants that grow around the fissure when you plant the seeds. They restore health... And they are free....

55,42 will find you the bubbles.&nbsp Essentially, that's southeast of the Crossroads.

If you have the seeds in your inventory, you can either right click the fissure, or right click the seeds and then left click the fissure.

It spawns a couple fissure plants that you can right click on to loot (doesn't require herbalism).

Take the South road from the crossroads. Go 1/3 of the way toward camp aurajo at which point you go east. Swim to the bubbles in the middle of the lake. You can breath in the bubbles so If you get attacked by an Oasis snapjaw you dont have to worry about breathing. However nothing attacked me while I was in the bubbles.
Co-ords are 56.43 in the Barrens.

IF there is a lvl 20 elite monster in the oasis YOU ARE IN THE WRONG PLACE.

he monster is in Lushwater oasis by wailing caverns, the seeds is supposed to be placed in the Stagnant Oasis.

I also encountered a level 20 elite 3-headed monster, who lurked around the fissure, couldn't easily be lured away, and who attacked relentlessly/aggroed when you reached the fissure, no matter his distance (which is to say, his roaming radius was within his aggro radius). This was highly, highly annoying--has anyone else seen the damn thing, perhaps it doesn't spawn some days?

i got inside the stagnant oasis with hardly any problem, and i knew that the fissure was inside the pool so i swam down, killed a couple of turtles and got up close the the fissuse. I right clicked when the faded gear icon had turned to yellow and the casting bar for planting the seeds came up. When it finished it said, "Failed, not enough charges". So i looked at the seeds and they had 0 charges left, so i went back to the quest giver, abandoned the quest and started it over. Yet again,"Failed, not enough charges" so i really dont know what to do now.

Yeah, be sure your at the staggnant oasis and not the lushwater oasis,i did that at first and it took me awile before i realized what i was doing wrong. So be sure your at the oasis SOUTHEAST of Xroads and not the one SOUTHWEST, READ THE QUEST!

There arn't really any bubbles, it's just in the middle of the Oasis. The Stagnant Oasis is located southeast of the Crossroads.

The quest is very simply, just kill the turtles in your path. I did this as a level 14 shaman.
Just make sure that you are at the right oasis (there are several)!

i did this quest at lvl 14 solo its not that difficult except u have to be careful for the centaurs and only fight only turtle at a time...its is SE of x-roads. )

Every time I try to do this quest it tells me "No Charges Remain" on the dried seeds. I've abandoned and repicked up the quest several times and it always immediately says "0 Charges" on the seeds in my inventory. Any idea why this is? I really want the crescent staff which requires this quest as a prereq. Help me out.

I soloed this as a 16 warrior...the turtles aren't that big of a deal if you take them on 1 at a time, as well as the Kolkars that are ranging around.

There are bubbles coming up from the vent. They allow to you stay under there and breathe long enuff for all this to happen.

1. Right click on the seeds in your bag and then click on the "fissure" (big gray thing that the bubbles are coming from)

2. After the "open wheel" finishes a plant with spring up. Right click on the plant to loot it and you will get something that looks like aloe vera. Head back to Crossroads.

I did this at level 17, went right in from the road, no dodged 1 or 2 turtles, went right up to the vent with bubbles, right clicked it, (it does the animation like when you're opening a chest, after you right click it), bam! All done.

55.42 are the coordinates I saw

nobody mentioned the 20 (elite) i guess its an rare spawn but it will be wise that u check the pool before jumping in and the elite comes by and kills u when busy with the seeds

Nobody seems to be able to comment how to fix the issues with using the Dried Seeds on this quest. For me, when I'm right on top of the fissure, it constantly says "Out of range." Please, someone chime in here. While it is appreciated to all who comment to help, I think it's been covered with the many posters saying it was easy and they went to such and such cords killed a couple turtles and used it no problem quest completed. Not complaining, as feedback makes this site work well.
