The Dread Citadel - Naxxramas

Additional requirements to obtain this quest:
  • Your reputation with Argent Dawn must be at least Honored
  • Your reputation with Argent Dawn must be lower than Revered
Archmage Angela Dosantos at Light's Hope Chapel in the Eastern Plaguelands wants 5 Arcane Crystals, 2 Nexus Crystals, 1 Righteous Orb and 60 gold pieces. You must also be Honored with the Argent Dawn.

Description

In the thick of Plaguewood lies the entrance to the dread citadel of Naxxramas. Previously, all attempts to enter had been stymied by the magical wards placed upon the rune portal. That is, until now.

We have devised a way to gain entry via arcane cloaking - an old cantrip of the Kirin Tor with a few modifications of my own. Since your dedication to the cause of the Dawn is somewhat lacking, <name>, the price will be high. You may decline and choose to return when you are revered or exalted for a discount.

For ultimate clarity, since people seem to be horribly confused by the existence of three separate attunement quests. The only requirement for picking up each quest is a certain reputation level with the Argent Dawn, but the objectives for completing the quests vary. You can only pick up the 'highest' version availible to you, and cannot do more than one of the attunement quests on the same character.

Note that you need to be at least honored with the Argent Dawn to become attuned to Naxxramas. There are no quests at neutral or friendly.

At honored you can do this quest. It's not cheap, even at 70.
At revered you can do this quest. The cost is reduced to less than half.
At exalted you can do this quest. It's free, as a bonus for reaching exalted.

At Revered Argent Dawn faction, you only have to get 2 Arcane Crystals and 1 Nexus Crystal, no Righteous Orb needed. Anyone have the mats needed for Exhalted rep?

for gods sake do not do this at honored with the argent dawn

u'll save ALOT of time just grinding rep instead of buying all the stuff

i would reccomend doing this after getting revered with AD

Run undead stratholme non-stop, do all the gathering quests at light's hope at least once (200 rep the first time).

Save your argent dawn valor tokens until you reach revered, because it's harder to earn rep through other methods at revered.

If you're 8030/12000, then you're Honored... which means you still get rep from elites in UD Strat and Scholomance. So just keep runnin those.

Once you hit Revered, the only ways to get rep are quests/turnins and Boss kills. It takes forever.

The fastest ways I've found are to either:

A. Find a really good group that'll go through Scholo/UD Strat quickly.

or

B. Grind in Gahrron's Withering. Make sure you have a Vitreous Focuser in your inventory for the repeatable Cauldron turnin.

@ the time of the patch i was farming gold to buy arcanite for titanic leggings and lionheart ... wish i had done it a few weeks ago, had to pay 50-60g/bar =-(

The guy who gives you the cauldron quest also sells you the virtous focuser.&nbsp Just speak with him again after accepting the quest and he'll ask you if you want to look at his wares.&nbsp Remember the focuser has a 40 minute time limit before it disappears, I think it's only 40 silver, something reasonable enough for the rep you'll be farming with this quest.

If you are farming for rep at the farmsteads using the Vitreous Focuser you will need to aquire the following:

From Revered to Exalted will require:
  • 3,400x pieces of Runecloth - 300-350g approx
  • 5,100x Osseous Agitator - 10% drop chance
  • 850x Arcane Quickener - 510g
These prices and estimates will vary from server.

As you can see, it's a LOT of farming required.

Did the turn ins for honoured (5 crystals, 1 orb, 2 nexus, and 60g) but only got 500 AD faction, which is rather disappointing. I see that the file was updated Dec. 6th, but no mention of decreased faction. Boooooo!

Duhbs, you are on a server with a rathr cheap economy then. On EU-Dragonblight PvE, it's about 5x50g for the Arcane Crystal, 250g. Then 2x75g for the Nexus Crystal is 150g, and one Righteous orb about 60g. Totally 460g, and yes, I looked after that carefully, it's not a wild guess. Anyway, the way to Reverred isn't that big, so if you do some Strat Baron runs, you should get there quite soon, saving you a few hundred gold.

wow you guys shouldnt even consider getting attuned seeing how noobish you all are.. lol.. Farm Argent Dawn reputation in Strat/Scholo until you are revered. Exaulted is by far the most unneccessary action as it will take you weeks to get exaulted the fact that once you're revered you only get reputation from bosses in Strat/Scholo will greatly decrease your reputation output. Although, the smartest thing to do if you desire to get exaulted, is to save your scourgestones until you are revered. Also, don't do the quests for the Insignias of the Dawn/Crusade until you are revered, for they will give you 350 reputation each quest. This is not repeatable, though it will give you 10 reputation after you do the primary quest. But, on the flip side, you can receive some fairly decent items with those insignias.

I recommend doing it as revered if it really gives you 9000 rep, that 60g or whatever you're spending on it saves you TONS of time(that ofcourse, you could spend making money), but I'm not sure if that's true so please somebody confirm it.
