Traitor to the Bloodsail

Additional requirements to obtain this quest:
  • Your reputation with Booty Bay must be lower than Neutral
That mangy dog, Revilgaz, has offered to pardon any former Bloodsails willing to turn on their cap'n! That bilge sucker asked me to go an' off me ole' mates and to bring back their bandannas as proof.

I don't have it in me heart to do that, nor will I ask ye to. Bring me some silk cloth and red dye and I'll make suitable replicas. I'll tell the Baron you went turncoat, but be warned... the Bloodsails are not gonna like it!

If you have 0/36000 with all Steamwheedle factions you will need to do this quest 144 times to become neutral again. (250 rep for each faction outside of Booty Bay)

To become neutral with goblins again:
  • 144 turn-ins = 288 stacks of silk = 5760 silk cloth

do these quests exist? i can't find any quest npc in booty bay that wants silk.

There are four quests:
Ratchet - (Quest #9267) Bay - (Quest #9259) - (Quest #9268) - (Quest #9266) quest givers are located just outside each goblin town, close to the main road. They are always friendly and don't belong to any faction (technically).
They all involve giving two stacks of cloth (40 pieces) plus four other items that you can buy from a Trade Goods vendor.

The quests are only doable if you're below neutral with the respective faction. So for example, you have to be Unfriendly or lower with Ratchet, in order to do the Ratchet quest. It doesn't matter what your reputation is with the other goblins.

Each quest gives 500 rep to its corresponding goblin town, and a 250 rep spill-over to each of the other goblins. Also, each quest gives a 500 rep decrease with Bloodsail Buccaneers

If you are at 0/36000 hated:

You will need to do 72 turn ins of 40 silk and 4 red dye to reach: "Hostile"

if you are at 0/3000 hostile:

You will need to do 6 turn ins of 40 silk and 4 red dye to reach: "Unfriendly"

If you are at 0/3000 unfriendly:

You will need to do 6 turn ins of 40 silk and 4 red dye to reach: "Neutral"

So in all you will need to do a grand total of 90 turn ins which is:

3600 silk
360 Red dye

Yes. When you turn this in, you get 500 rep with Booty Bay, half of which is given to all other goblin town, and you get 200 rep with Booty Bay that is not given to the other towns.

So total, you get:

700 Booty Bay Rep
250 Ratchet Rep
250 Gadgetzan Rep
250 Everlook Rep
-1000 Bloodsail Rep

I just started farming for the bloodsail hat. You can get your booty bay faction back, by bring 40 silk and 4 red dye to the pirate named "Bloodsail Traitor" He is found behind booty bay, on top of a hill near bloodsail pirates. I'll post the coordinates next time im in the area.

Yes these quests do exist... you have to be hated with the goblins to talk to these people. So before you post another post asking if they exist read this!

This is a quick, time efficient means of swapping your current bloodsail and booty bay reputation. 500 points per turn in, repeatable until you hit neutral with booty bay.

Not that it says it, but due to spillover of rep loss during booty bay killing, and spillover during rep gain for quests, the rest of your cartel rep will also fluctuate back up at the same rate it went down.

So assuming you only attacked Booty bay, and no other goblin city, you'll have neutral across the board with everyone by the time you hit neutral with Booty Bay.

edit: quest description says 500//-455 rep. I guess it was changed since I went through this :-)
