Description

I see a lot of young dwarves at my door, eager to learn the trade of mining. And if there's one thing a miner needs more than anything, it's a pick!

I have a list of mining students who scored high in their lessons and earned an honorary pick. Take my list to Golnir Bouldertoe in Ironforge. He'll get the picks ready.

The fastest way to Ironforge is on a gryphon, so bring the list to our gryphon master, Thorgrum Borrelson, and speak with him about transport to Ironforge.

He's in the last house on the right hand side as you enter town. I got this quest as a lvl 10 Dwarf Rogue without Mining, I have enchanting & Tailoring.

I believe this short series is one of a particular type of quest that involves using gryphons/hippogriffs for the first time. The reason there is suspicion that this is a dwarf and gnome only quest is that Loch Modan would normally be the first place these two races would come in contact with a grpyhon flight route. For humans, it would be Westfall and the "Swift Message" series, and for night elves it would be the "Nessa Shadowsong" series starting in Darnassus itself. I strongly believe that once you have completed one of these series, you cannot do the other two. My only question now is whether or not any of the three series would still be available if a particular character has already used a gryphon/hippogriff before doing one of them.

Easy exp quest.&nbsp You get exp talking to both griffon masters, the pick maker and then a healthy chunk of exp from the guy you give the picks to.&nbsp Not the mention you make more money then the price of the ride from Thelsemar to Ironforge.&nbsp Generally it costs 1 silver 10 copper per ride but on one leg you recieve 1s 75c for doing the quest.&nbsp EASY EXP!

I couldn't seem to get this quest as a 12th level Paladin.&nbsp I have Mining/Blacksmithing.&nbsp Is it only available for Dwarves or something?

I am a gnome, but I did the human quests while I was doing the gnome quests, and made it to westfall before I made it to thelsamar. Now I cant complete the series and get the special pick. :/

Its not limited to gnomes or dwarfs. Any race can do this chain but you cannot have ever rode on a gryphon before(its purpose is to teach you how to ride gryphons). I am playing a night elf. Im familiar with the area and never once took the gryphon or got the flight paths until i got to ironforge, i picked up the flightpath and went to the loch and picked up its flight path. The quest worked fine but has now locked me out of the other zones flight path quests (westfall-stormwind) and (ruthan village - darkshore).

I have Brock's List and found Golnir Bouldertoe but he doesn't have a "!" or a "?" above his head and I can't figure out how to give him the list. If I right click on him, all I get is a shopping window for his supplies. Can anyone help?
