Description

The Buzzbox gives a burst of static as you hear Wizbang begin to speak.

"The next Buzzbox is number 323. Ish north of Auberdine but... where's the ale? Wha? Oh, ish on the road sho ya shouldn't have trouble finding it near the bridge."

Wizbang mumbles something incoherent before you hear a loud gulping sound.

"Thish one needs Moonstalker Fangs... 6 of 'em."

buzzbox 323: along the road from auberdine to northeast. come to a place called cliffsrping river, see a bridge? cross it. on the east side, look along the roadside, it's to your left.

Buzzbox 323 located far noth of the map. Follow the road path to clif river, u see a bridge. After passing by the bridge u will be able to see the buzzbox.

Buzzbox 323 is by the Cliffspring River Falls nearest the ocean. Following the path, you'll cross over the river using a wooden bridge. The box is just past the bridge, on your immediate left.

Don't abandon it, its part of a chain.&nbsp These kill quests are meant to level you.&nbsp Did you notice that while you were killing dozens of moonstalkers, you got a level or two?&nbsp Thats what the quest is for.&nbsp If you are getting frustrated, there are several other quests around those same areas you can do at the same time to break it up.&nbsp You wil be killing the other mobs, and suddenly there will be a moonstalker you have to kill and he might drop a fang, but you didn't waste half an hour waiting for one to drop.&nbsp It does help.

I did this today and it took about 30 min worth of killing (mostly one shots with pyroblast). In my case it took longer to FIND them than it did to get all 6 fangs.

I killed easily over 50 of these guys and got 1 of them.&nbsp The next 5 kills i got 5 and completed the quest, go figure.&nbsp The drop rate was real messed up for me.

the area by the road between Ameth'Aran and the Grove of the Ancients has a higher drop rate than the place by the buzzbox. i only had to kill 5 moonstalkers to get 4 teeth. but near the box i had to kill 15 just to get 2.

10 lvl 14-15 moonstalkers netted the required 6 teeth. 60% drop rate :D I stayed fairly close to the buzzbox too, never more than a minute out from it. Farmed mostly along the cliffspring river (both sides).

Your first inclination is to kill the Moonstalkers near the buzzbox up north.&nbsp The drop rate is a little bad, but the spawn rate is even worse.&nbsp I frequently spent 3-5 minutes just looking for another Moonstalker to kill, with one in 5 dropping one.

Hunt south of Auberdine.&nbsp There's a lot more Moonstalkers so even if the drop rate is still one in five, you get it done in half an hour instead of 2 hours.

Coords = 51:25 confirmed. The easiest way to complete this quest is to get the Moonstalkers on either side of the Buzzbox and complete other quests while waiting for respawn.&nbsp The drop rate is pretty good, you only have to kill about 1000 to get 1 Fang so after about 6000 kills you should be complete the quest o).

I guess the game hates me very very much!

Northeast around 60 11 (past Mathystra) is a nice little field of cats. now they are level 19 and some of them come in pairs, a fair number of them actually, but they arent too roug and it makes knocking out the quest a quick task.

Be prepared for a grind. I've heard of (and experienced myself) a horrible drop rate for the fangs and a slow respawn on the Moonstalkers themselves. It seems some people can kill a few and complete the quest and others have to kill tons.

The XP is great, but if you are the type of person who wants to keep moving along and not spend hours in one zone grinding (like me!) then this might be a bit of a chore. However, I'm pressing on because it is nice experience and you get money, a bag and some alcohol outta it at the end of the chain. What better rewards are there!? Aside from epix of course... ;)

Be prepared that every matriarch has a runt, so they run together and you have to kill two mobs at one. In addition runts has no drop or exp reward.

If you dont have skinning as a profession so at least the mobs wil lreward you with something , dont do this quest. took me about 35mins to complete it , and these mobs usually drop nothing. At least i got a healthy amount of light leathers.

I just finished this quest and after my first dozen or so kills I was ready to drop it as I had no fangs at all from any of them. Then I got 6 fangs in 7 kills, the only thing that changed was I moved north/east of the cliffspring river.

Killed 16 Moonstalkers (yes, the Moonstalkers, not the young ones) and got 2 fangs. While trying to avoid rabid thistle bears, I think I killed twice as many bears as I did Moonstalkers. At one point, I had 6 rabid thistle bear bodies laying around me because of so much spawn/aggro. I need to get a tetanus shot. :/

Im level 12 and the Runts are lvl 10. Ive killed a boatload and didnt get any, but on a positive note, from all the random aggro from bears, I gained about a total of 20 points in leatherworking and about 20 more points in skinning.Anyways, I had a friend of mine (lvl 30 War) help me out by going and owning the regular ones that are like lvl 15, we got 2 of em in 4 kills.... something isnt right

To get the Fang you can kill either the moonstalker or the moonstalker runt...but you will have better luck w/ the moonstalker.

The actual buzz box 323 is at cords 51, 24
Go along the bridge to the north (across cliffspring river)
and on you left towards the ocean right away you'll see it is on the side of the pathway, real easy.

Okay, I had done this quest as my level 19 druid... I had been aiming for level 20 and the cat form today, and decided to finish off some older quests and I had to go to the Ruins of Mathrystra ANYWAYS, so I finished off the 'Cleansing of the Infected' quest after hunting some Moonstalkers with no drop. After the bear quest was finished though, I got all six fangs in 7 Moonstalkers. I was around the cliffspring river, so some people with this "Low drop rate near the box" stuff, might be wrong. I just found, that after the completion of Cleansing of the Infected, I got the fangs like this. *snaps fingers*

Summary: Are there ties between the quests that might cause a glitch or problem, resulting in a VERY VERY low/impossible drop rate?

Note: I had NOT turned in the quest yet when I got my 7-6 drop rate on the fangs.

I killed 16 Moonstalkers (yes, the adult ones, not the young level 10-12 ones) and received 2 fangs. Spent nearly 2 hours locating them near the Cliffsprings river going as far as the Myrmidons. Killed roughly twice as many rabid thistle bears, because of so much aggro. At one point I had 6 bear bodies laying by me from constant spawn/aggro. I need a tetanus shot. :/

the moonstalkers with the most drop rate, are located to the north east by the mountains, , once you get all the fangs, head west again, to clifspring river, after you pass over the small bridge, it is directly to the left, right off the road, not 5 steps from the bridge.

I have looked at some of the quotes in this and in my opinion if you stick to lvl 14+ moonstalkers it wont take long at all.
