Kill murlocs until the glowing gem drops. Droprate listed is 7-8%.

I was just heading back to Astranaar to clear some space in my bags, and it was the last Murloc I passed on the way out which dropped it.

The location of the satyr Shael'dryn for part 2 of this quest is 53,46 well east of Iris Lake. There are&nbsp unpassable cliffs&nbsp just to the east of the lake so you will need to continue further down the road towards Splintertree Post before cutting left (north) off the road to bypass the cliffs.

Handed over the gem for 845 xp @ lvl 21.

So far i'v killed maybe 26 of them and not a drop, i'v been lucky with other quest that require a random drop, but this time i wasn't.

wat is the t-loc coordinates for the wooden key and the other part of the staff?

Ok, you don't need coordinates or droprate on this. It's a random drop from any of the murlocs around the island with the body on it.It's said that it's a 5% droprate but don't lay too much in that. Sometimes it drops on 1,2 or 3 kill etc sometimes you might have to kill for hundreds of monsters to get the drop. So telling people what drop you got it on wont really help on this. IT IS RANDOM! Only two things to think about hereYou have to have the quest and you have to kill murlocs around the small island with the body. Any of these murlocs drop em but only these murlocs. If you don't know where the murlocs are it means you don't have the quest either (which is part of a chain) since you would have had to seen the murlocs to get this far. Wheater or not you can do it as both&nbsp alliance and horde I don't know but it can be done as&nbsp alliance,and most likely not as horde.

Well I followed Ramjet's advice and the very critter that Ram said would drop it did. For several days I've been killin these things and there it was.

The cords are 20,40 i made sure that these are correct because I like other new peole to the game enjoy getting the cords.&nbsp I only killed about 5 of the murlocs and the gem dropped.&nbsp

This quest ends at Shael'dryn.&nbsp She is next to the moonwell at 53,46.

This quest took me forever too, but I think it depends on how many others are doing it at the same time or just before you attempt it. It was a quest that I left for a few days and went back to and voila after about 3 murlocs I got the gem :)

would say, be carefull of the two murlocs that patrol the lake! they can catch you unawares and really get an ya raspeberries!

I got it on the 2nd murloc i killed. I have had a drop rate problem with other quests though, bit of luck this time i guess! xD

Im lvl 53 so it took me 57 seconds to get it.

so im 3 steps past this part, where is the final piece after we get the iron rod out of the box? ah %^&* this, ill check another wow site

The hardest part of the quest was finding the gem i hate murlocks but dont worry i foun my Gem took me awhile but...i found it Thx ThottBot!

I got it on my firdt try!&nbsp I just killed the lev 21 murlock swimming near the lil island and he dropped it.&nbsp Am I a lucky son of a gun or what?

Killed 4 and got it.
Just kill any murlock you see, mine dropped of a Saltspittle Puddlejumper.

found the last piece at&nbsp 69.9,86.1 on a rotting slime monster

It dropped off of a solo warrior for me, after about 15-20 killed.

And on another character, it dropped off of a solo muckdweller after about 10 killed.

got it on 20th murloc

i got it to drop from a puddlejumper half way down the left side of the lake after killing like 5

Dropped on a Muckdweller after 5 Muckdweller kills...did about 30 other Murloc kills as well.

Dropped from warrior on first kill, i killed one oracle first.

i got it on the 1st kill lol. i got lucky i guess =)

I was in a group of 3 & the gemfrom 1 murloc for all 3 of us at once not very far from the shoreline across the lake after we had been killing these groups for 1/2 hour.

Came off a Puddlejumper for me too, L19. About fifth or sixth kill.

It dropped from the Puddlejumper walking with the warrior... but then I had killed about 40 of them by that time so it maybe just coincidence.

I made myself some tacs, got in place and settled for a longterm camping commitment on the island where i found the body!

Then the Gem dropped of a puddlejumper on the first kill... Guess I was lucky!

Got it on my fourth try....guess I'm lucky! ^_^

Took me about 40-50 kills to get it. The gem dropped off of a Puddlejumper (not from 2 murlocs walking together). Coordinates around 20,44 (+-1).

Well that only took like 15 minutes to get the lame drop, but it was from a muckdweller.. my like 90th murloc killed.

The gem dropped off a muckdweller at kill one for me, which is good cause I hate murlocs.

I found the gem at 20,44 from a murloc.

dropped on my 4th kill, but not off the two murlocs walking together.
