Terrible what the Venture Company has done here, eh? What were they thinking? Goblin company hiring a gnome!

Lucky for me, Sputtervalve knows a genius when he sees one. Hired me just after I'd been kicked out!

Tells me they built some enormous woodcutting machine, and Sput' wants me to steal the plans for him. Unfortunately, Gerenzo--bloody gnome--wants me dead on sight... maybe you could steal the plans for me? You should be able to find them on one of their operators.

These drop off of the Venture Co. Operators spread out in Windshear Crag. The highest concentration lie on the broken down super reaper just inside the crag. Walk on it and there are about 4-5 operators spawned there. May take a few clears of it to get the plans or you may get lucky on the first couple kills. Enjoy!

I was out doing Gnome's Respite at the same time and killed lots of Operators (among other things :P), but no drop until I had completed Gnome's Respite. The very next Operator I KO'd dropped it for me, near the mine in the East of the area.

The race of the operator is random.&nbsp You have to kill 20-30 of them before you get one to drop...just be patient and stay near the machine and kill any that have "Operator" in the name...

soloed @ 20 with a 19 pet. didnt know it dropped off a deforester but I had killed quite a few to clear out, as I was doing the logger killing quest at the same time, it dropped off my 4th operator. And not sure why its lvl 21, didnt see any operator above 20, only thing above 20 were the mechanicals. which are for a quest given from the same NPC aftrer you return the blueprints

Not sure if they respawn at the same place everytime but i had to kill 4 operators and i wrote down the Cords.

There are machines there that draw trees down to some 90 degree angle with ropes. There's always one operator next to a machine like this. Looking for these bent trees can help a lot.

At 73,54 there are 4 quite close together. And walking a bit north from there, there are 5 more. I just camped around these and killed operators when they appeared, with a few minutes respawns.

the cords for ziz fizziks is 58,62 / 58,62. he is in a small house. u'll see a green spot on the map when you are nearby )

It randomly drops off the Operators in Windshear Crag.

There are quite a few operators at 62/52

Edit: After posting this message, the next one I killed, I asked it nicely. It dropped the blueprints.

Okay, it's official. If you're hunting the damn plans, go kill a few operators first, then read this post. The next little SOB you kill will drop the plans. This must be the luck-thread or something! ...I wonder if it'll work if I do that during a raid when hunting for my raid gear....

Stay away from the big reaper, the drop rate there is @#$%. Hunt operators around the tower near Cragpool lake, around 66.46 or so, and the drop rate is much better. You'll only have to kill a few before you get your blueprints.

For those without coords, yes, the tower will show on the map. Right along the south edge of the lake somewhere, can't miss it.

Did that quest today in about 10 minutes. Killed maybe 7 or 8 operators. It is a completely random drop of any operator. There are quite a lot of operators&nbsp though and they usually stand around near some sort of technical machinery or equipment (duh), so fairly easy to find.

After killing operators for about an hour with no drop, I thought I should check here to be sure I was killing the right things in the right place. I was skeptical about all the people claiming they got the drop immediately after reading this page...

Sure enough, the next operator I killed after reading here dropped the plans.

That's just eerie...

If you are lucky you'll get them off of the first Operator you kill. I was not so lucky- I had to kill about 20 Operators.

I found the bulk of Operators standing around the mill in the Blackwolf River area.

The broken down super reaper is a good place to find operators....but there are also two more located just to the left, near some winches....good idea to grind on the ones at the reaper and then kill those two....then go back and kill the operators that respawned at the reaper.....I got the plans from one of the two by the winches.

went to 62,52 killed the only operater in that coord and guess wat she dropped the blueprints and i hadnt even killed a single Venture Co. yetnow to do a gnomes respite.

The big woodcutting machine they are talking about is northeast of the little hut from where you receive the quest.
Go up one of the wheels, it's like a ramp going up. There are mobs on the walk up, they should drop it.

I got off my first kill of an operater at the machine at 61 54, so im not sure of the drop rate but i got lucky at that machine

Found a total of 8 different locations for the operators. I killed all the ones on the top of the machine, (5) the two guys contolling the wenches near it (2) and one guy near the big log saw past the river next to a wench (1). Of course, the last guy had it! ha ha! The last guy appeared at coords 65, 61.

I had to kill about 10 operators to get it. Seems to be a bit on the high side according to the other posts although one guy had to kill 25.

Any operator can drop it, they always pop in the same places just check around where there are any big pieces of equipment.
