Description

I met Gerenzo once, but let me tell you, he's not easy on the eyes. His flesh looks like it's rotting away, and he's grafted metal and gears onto his body, replaced some of his limbs with mechanical ones.

Northeast of here, far above Cragpool Lake, up near the water wheel is where Gerenzo watches over the entire site. There's no way I could fight my way up there, not to mention take on Gerenzo... But you look like you might be able to make it.

If you kill him for me, I'll make it worth your while!

In order to get up to the top of the waterwheel you need to go over to the far east side of the lake. You'll find a path there that leads up into the cliffs and to the top of the wheel.

The route up the mountain is up the east side.&nbsp Follow the lake and it takes you to a path leading up to the water wheel area.&nbsp Make sure you kill Gerenzo without him falling off when he makes a run for it at low health.&nbsp )

I don't know if anyone's mentioned it yet, but here's a trick.

When you get to gerenzo focus everything you have on him, kill him, loot him immediately and then book it for the edge and jump off into the lake below.

Not only could it save your life, but its fun too. :)

If you do him methodically, he's cake, no matter where he spawns. Did him with my 23 shaman on the far east platform.

Just kill down to him, target the add. For myself, dropped earthbind, searing, and healing wave. Kill the add and run away. The little mech that spawned despawns when you're out of combat. Now you have Gerenzo all by his lonesome. Rinse and repeat.

There is a roamer that I had noticed before starting, but I figured someone would be dead before he came back around. Wrong. He made it to me before the deed was done, so i thought...what the heck, 1/3rd health, just jump in the water. Loot up and jump off. That leads me to my final suggestion, jump off the east side of the platform. I had about 300 of my 950ish hps and the fall was for 923. You do the math.

Good luck to all you hordies doing this. To you alliance types, jump off the north side. =)

Fairly easy to kill Gerenzo as a 27 rogue straight up (no stealth ambush needed).&nbsp I missed him on my first pass through the Water wheel area but he was there the second time.

Note: the Water wheel is high above the back of the&nbsp lake.&nbsp As&nbsp previos posters mentioned, swim east though the lake and then follow the path up the mountain and back west to the wheel.

No mobs in the lake that I saw so its a safe swim.

Tauren Druid solo'd at 24 but unless you can heal lots i dont recomend it, i ended up taking on 3 at once because the dude to Gerninzino's left has a mechanical dude that he has attack you as well

as it says above:

* swim over the water
* follow path to the left (quite obvious track)
* kill mobs one by one until you reach Gerenzo

then if your a 24 shaman like me, stand above them and pull one of the mobs, attack it, set out slowing totem\aggro totem and run away, then go back to gerenzo.

set out fire totem \ melee attack totem, pull boss, kill it, get loot and smile.

i got the drop (the arm) from one of the guys on the way to gorenzo on the ramps.....strange but yeah i've seen a few ppl say they killed gorenzo and didn't get the arm...i didn't even get it from gerenzo

I did the quest solo with my 24 hunter, really easy quest. I just swam in the river until I reached the lake in the north where the waterwheel. Go west and up the moutainpath to the catwalk. There are some doods there so just kill them one at a time, I didnt even notice I killed Gerenzo lol. Got the arm, the arm is in the second window in the loot menu so dont freak out when you dont see it at first.

tried this last night, but couldn't do it with lv25 priest. Gerenzo is lv27, but he is linked with another lv22 goblin. But my biggest headache is from the mechanical robot that lv22 goblin summons. The robot hits moderately but he hits FAST! My shield cannot hold for 3 sec. If you can sap or sheep the lv22 sidekick, i'd suppose gerenzo is a lot easier to take down.

The gerenzo's respawn location is not fixed. Although i don't believe he is spawned randomly across all water mill, but he might be on different platforms each time. I probably will come back to get him after getting mind control, then i'll have a little fun.

Ding'ed to 25 just before i got to him. He has his 22 escourt, which spawns a 3rd escourt, the damned bot.

Cake! First off, use distraction to get Gerenzp to look away, then sap his ass. Take out the escourt, dont worry about her bot. Use vanish, and the bot will go away. Then, distract Gerenzo again, Ambush his ass, and take his arms.

Doesn't get more simple than that.

This guy spawns in several different spots on the water mill area... Sometimes by the armor merchant, sometimes on the other side of the week on that big flat part, sometimes on a corner platform.... His respawn is bout 10-20 minutes&nbsp

Just do a /target Gerenzo and there ya go

Just a tip for anyone having problems...

I solo'd this, but if you're having problems soloing it, when you get to gerenzo, worry about his friends, not him, and then rush back to your body, eat/drink up, and kill him

I had a 26 warrior i went past the mobs and when i got to him and the machine guy i just cast retaliation and watched their health dropped then i hamstringed gerenzo and killed him.

Got the arm not from Gerenzo but from one of the mobs on the way up.

i soloed this quest easyly with l24 warlock... just let your voidwalker use suffering to keep them all busy, then curse them, target guards with wand until dead, then sacrifice void and kill gerenzo with shadow bolts...

Soloed as a lvl 23 rogue with engineering

all you need to do is stealth up to where he is useing distract and sap whenever possible when do get to where you can pull him with your ranged weapon clear the mob/mobs around you then place a Goblin land mine and pull him the mine will take over half his health off.

...i felt like James bond on this quest because i killed him so fast and then i was attacked so i vanished and jumpped off the side and use my parachute cloak to glide safely down

The gnome can respawn all around the place, so don't try to camp him if someone killed you before you did.&nbsp

Just before you get to the platform level where he is, there's a mob , take him out. Now for the interesting part, maybe this happened only to me, but I noticed people talking about 2 mobs that accompanied Gerenzo and the smith summoned the mechanical. In fact, in the platform Gerenzo is, there is only ONE mob (the summoner), a vendor, and Gerenzo himself. The third mob is one that respawns VERY quickly right where the first mob (just before the Gerenzo platform is). so after you kill that first one, you might wanna wait for that other one to spawn for about 20 seconds.. I soloed this as 24 lock no problem, only special care I had to take was to keep Gerenzo under control (feared) while taking damage from DoTs.. maybe this will get rated down because it is confusing, I just wanted to help anyways. Good luck with the quest ;)

Edit: This only applies if you are to find him on the very last platform, as he has different spawn spots.

East for the lake in Windshear crag, you will find a path araund the mountain and upp to Gerenzo. U gta fight ur way through, im a lvl 24 rogue and i maked it fine :)

I managed to pull him solo at 26 by sneaking past him and pulling from the plank nearest to the water wheel with a spell. If you get him alone he's an easy and straightforward fight - I agree that the little engineer dude is the biggest pain if you get him as well.

Lvl 24 Enhance Shaman

Died twice.&nbsp Once when killing Gerenzo (and aggred 2 respawned 21 mobs) and another time when I rezzed and 2 different mobs spawned there again.

What makes it difficult si the little mechanical guys they summon have over 500 health and can therfor take a beating.

Level 25 Druid.

judgeing from what ive read he can also be found on right at the very end of the walkway. Dont do what i did, reading thottbot to try and find out where he is, getting to the end and waiting. when i went there, he wasnt at the end but under the "tent/Gizebo" bit of the walkway. so he can be found either at the end of the walk way or under the tent.

I worked the other way, I got to the very end and worked my way backwards, by doing it this way i was able to pull him on his own and was quite easy. if you have stealth ability then i would recommend this method. Hope this helps
