Call of Water (Part 3)

Fill the Empty Red Waterskin at the well in Tarren Mill and return to Brine in the Barrens.
Filled Red Waterskin
Provided Item:
Empty Red Waterskin

Description

Long ago I followed some companions into the Hillsbrad Foothills. We defended ourselves from some tenacious humans who make their home there and we found ourselves in a small town the Forsaken had taken over: Tarren Mill.

It was there I found a most peculiar thing: in the center of town was a small well of fresh spring water. I'm not sure the plagued citizens of the town even realize its value--it's a small holy vestige in an unhallowed sea.

Bring me a sample of that water in this waterskin.

If you haven't done it already, grab the "Journey to HIllsbrad Foothills" quest (https://classicdb.ch/?quest=493) from The Sepulcher and pickup a free 1150xp on your way there. The well for the quest is in the middle of the town, right outside of the church.

Go to undercity (zepplin at orgrimmar goes to it) travel southwest of undercity to&nbsp silverpine forest. Travel south in silverpine forest and go to hillsbrad foothills&nbsp southeast of silverpine. Maximize your map to show just the Eastern Kingdom continent, there should be 2 houses, Tarren Mill, and Southshore. Head to Tarren Mill, it's west of the river I believe.

Be aware for alliance in hillsbrad, this is a contested territory and the level 60 battlegrounds are here (sometimes they won't kill you, sometimes they will).

Good ol' Brine is in Southern Barrens.&nbsp Go south from Camp T you'll meet a q giver just after road to the left (Dustwallow Marsh ?) - about there you should head west towards maountains (right as your heading south towards Thousand Neddles). Kodos, Hyenas and Flaying snakes all 23-25's.. There is a Quillboar camp just around a bend in mountain range she is above it.&nbsp The first water you'll need is right below her camp.&nbsp Then you'll go to Org then to UC then to Seplecher.&nbsp From there is a run south till you see sign.&nbsp The only MOBs I met were some 18's on the road a wiz and a guard. I was a 24 Shammy and I took wiz first, when she ran I nuked guard.&nbsp One 25 lion jumped me on the road futher south.&nbsp If you can get Defense Potion it makes all the difference.&nbsp HIT BAT HANDLER AT UC SEPLECHER!&nbsp Use one at Tarren Mill to book to UC OR hang around and get some points LOL!&nbsp &nbsp

this quest is easy if you follow these steps:

for ppl who are already questing in tarren mill:

just go to the middle of the town,
stand next to the water well,
click on your red waterskin item,
done

for ppl who dont have tarren mill discovered yet:

go to silverpine then follow the road and read the signs. shouldnt be any problem.
then go to the middle of the town,
stand next to the water well,
click on your red waterskin item,
done

I ran into many level 60+ gankers here. The way I did it without dying is to use ghost wolf and all the way to western plaguelands. Just before the road forks south, there are mountains on either side of area that surround the road south going to Tarren. Use the mountain path and weave between hills and over hills. I find that using the hills, I dont get Aggro as much and I can easily leave combat state. Then you will see on your map a river that leads southwest. Follow that river as Tarren Mill sits along side it. Just run alongside the river banks and ignore the turtles. If you get jumped by gankers like spiders or bears, just jump in the river and swim in the middle. But follow the river south and you will pass Tarren Mill on your right side. This takes a bit more coordination as you have to weave between obstacles, hills, and gankers. But you can prevent dying -- or atleast not as much. Then to leave tarren, just talk to the flightmaster in town.

This quest was kind of hard. If you're a pvp player, watch out for level ? people that are on the path before tauren mill and they will get you. Watch out for a wizard and another enemy, as well as a wolf that will attack. Once you get there, you shouldn't have a problem getting to the well. I didn't see much in the way of alliance actually at tauren mill, but it is possible, don't forge to pick up the flight path.

You go next to the small water well in the middle of town there. Then catch a bat back to UC.

cords are correct, didn't run into any trouble. Tarren Mill is ran by Horde.

oh yeah... and watch out for level 60 alliance gankers and campers. If you run into a group, most likely they will not let you leave. In this case, just get the spirit to rez you on the graveyard and start over and avoid the gankers camping areas.

Just to make life MUCH less active (i hate running around)...

Set your Hearth at Camp T...

If a Busy server... find a warlock in the Hillsbrad area, and pay him to summon you.
If no-one in Hillsbrad, try Silverpine or UC as required... WORST possible case, fly to org, zep to UC and pop Wolf and run, but i'm to lazy :)

Then once the skin is full... Hearth to Camp T... Total time in optimal circumstances... 8mins :)
Worst case... flippin ages :(

As for me the fastest way to Tarren Mill occurs to be through Alterac Mountains, where you go by swiming a bit in the Lordamere Lake. You can't take any quests there but it could save your time a bit (tried on myself)
Sorry for the mistakes
