The Binding

Using the Bloodstone Choker, summon and subdue a voidwalker, then return the Bloodstone Choker to Gakin the Darkbinder in Stormwind.
  •
Summoned Voidwalker slain
Bloodstone Choker
Provided Item:
Bloodstone Choker

Description

By retrieving my choker and besting Surena, you've proven that you're at least as capable as she was.

With that said, I can tell you're direly in need of training. You can manage the flows of magic, yes, but being a warlock is much more than that.

I will show you how to command a voidwalker, but before I can, you must call one forth at a summoning circle and subdue it using whatever weapons--physical and magical--you have at your disposal. Use the magic of this choker at the summoning circle below.

Not easy to find. Tried the directions 4 times, and finally. But its true:

Go down the spiral stairs and down the flight of stairs. Then turn right, right, right, left, and in the MIDDLE of the corridor you turn left, and there the room with some purple circle in the middle, is!

Good luck, he was easy to beat though^^

The summoning circle is a pain to find if you don't know where to go here are some directions:

Go down the spiral hallway leading down right behind Gakin.

Go down the first set of stairs and then take a right.

Go down the second flight of steps and take another right going right around the corner.

Go down the third set of steps and take a left.

in the middle of that hallway area there is a 4th set of steps take a left and you will see a glowing emblem on the floor, that is the summoning place.

Click on the choker and a voidwalker will be spawned. You can use your imp to fight it. It was easier than any other level 10 mob I have come across

Just wanted to add in the way to the circle:

Take the sloping walkway to the first steps. At the bottom of the first set of steps take a right, and go down the set of steps there. At the bottom of that set, turn left, and immediately turn left again for another set of steps. Don't go to the steps at the end of the room.

The circle is in the middle of the room at the bottom of those steps.

Let's simplify the directions:

1) Go to down ramp which is on opposite side of room with Gakin the Darkbringer in it.
2) Go down TWO flights of stairs (they both ONLY go to the right).
3) Turn right and go down ONE flight of stairs (you've now gone down 3 flights of stairs).
4) Turn left and in MIDDLE of hallway is last stairs leading down.
5) 1 ramp and FOUR flights of stairs later, you have your voidwalker. Easiest fight you'll have at level.

You can't miss the "circle"~

ok if you want a soul shard the easiest way to do it is when your fighting and ur enemy's health is most of the way down click on drain soul because you'll only get a soul shard if they die while your channeling.

also could they have made that damn summoning circle any harder to find? i ended up stumbling on to it by pure accident.

Soul shards are gained after using Drain Soul and having the enemy die.&nbsp However the enemy MUST give you either Reputation or Experience, so you cant just do it to anything.

Well being a lvl 10 warlock yet to fight him i can only guess. But my strategy would be before hand gather some soul shards. Then make some healthstones and also maybe get some small healing potions. Cast rank 2 Demon Skin, possibly use one of your items that give +stats over time. Then go into battle, use Corruption, Immolation, and the Curse of Agony. From there physically attack him, use Shadow Bolt and reapply DoT spells as they wear off. Im not sure how this will fair but it sounds fine and dandy.

I keep missing this each time. The&nbsp directions confused me a bit, they're correct, but I hardly spotted that I was IN a corridor before I'd walked past the spot where you need to turn left. If you get to a 'dead end' with two rooms almost adjacent to eachother, between them there will be a stair down.

Thanks for the help with finding the circle. For those of you having problems take the stairs behind Gakin and just work your way down. As for the pet question I used my imp to fight the VW.

You must use the Soul drain. It's your skill. If you didn't learned it, you would learn it from your trainer. Then you must go to the monster and use Soul drain. After the time you will have a soul shard in your backpack.

[Silver]There was another Warlock at the circle when I got down there who died while trying to beat the VW and since the previous poster also seemed to have trouble I thought I might mention something.

The guy who I watched die fighting the VW didn't have his imp out. He was trying to take it all alone which I guess might be possible but I don't see why anyone would care to do it.

I had my imp out and on aggressive and let him take the first few hits while I got off my DoTs and curse. I then used a rank two Shadow Bolt to draw the aggro off the imp and the fight was over by the time I got off the second Shadow Bolt.

Looking at the amount of health I had left it wasn't really necessary to have the imp take any damage (especially with a healthstone in case of emergency). With the added damage coming from the imp the fight was rather quick and pain free. Much easier than getting the choker for the quest that leads up to this one.[/Silver]

The summoning circle is a few flights of stairs down from where the quest was given. When i got to the summoning circle there was a big purple abstract design on the floor, and a lady standing in the corner. When i summoned the VW i cast corruption, imiolate, and shadow bolt and had my imp on aggresive. I took most dmg but didnt even get down to half health. There was no need for healthstone. Overall an easy fight.

The voidwalker is very easy, even as lv 10. Heres what you do:
1) summon imp on agressive
2) spawn voidwaker
3) while imp fights it, cast your imolate and the otehr curse that rots his hp away since imolate and the other DOT spell stack.
4) cast fear on the voidwalker so he cowers in the corner of the room.
5) continus having you and your imp blast it till its a pile of mush.

This battle was much easier than getting the choker, and I think I only git hit once, if that.

1
First, remember to summon the imp, and eventually set it to agressive so that it attacks the voidwalker automatically

2
Cast curse of Agony, Corruption, and immolate. Now, you can of course fear him if he's bringing your HP down.

3
Still not dead? Cast shadowbolts.

You should have over 50% of your total HP after defeating the voidwalker, even on lvl 10

When you summon the Voidwalker, it says the following in Demonic (the meaning of which I can only guess):

Kar refir revola lok revos il lok zenn

Shi alar amir rethule te tiriosh kar zila rukadare zennshi
