Description

Thank you for saving me, <name>. I know how this looks, but...allow me to explain.

I was charged by Lieutenant Doren to re-enlist with Kurzen's men, so that I might spy on them and bring sorely needed intelligence to the rebels. You saw here what I had thought would be my chance to infiltrate Kurzen's Compound. I was wrong, and again, thanks for saving me.

This was a top secret mission, so you must tell no one. But if you speak with Doren he will explain.

Every so often, Thorsen will go on patrol. If you follow him, he will be ambushed by two of Kurzen's lackeys (at around (40, 8) ) - if he survives, you will be able to start this quest off him then.

I don't think it has anything to do with a specific server time, but rather how long it's been since he last went out, or since he respawned after dieing.

I was on my way to Duskwood when i saw two yellow named Kurzen Agent walking away from Private Thorsen corpse. I went back to the north rebel camp and waited about 5 mins to pop Private Thorsen. About 10 mins later he said "It's time for patrol." and started to walk down on path. The two Kurzen Agent came again and they attacked Thorsen. This time i helped him, killed the two agent, saved his life. At this point i could get the "Jungle Secret" quest, however quest is grey to me (i am level 48) there was no problem with taking the quest, its working !

The rebel camp is in Stranglethorn, just West of the entrance/exit to Duskwood. The road to the camp is not marked on your big map, but you can see a faint dirt trail leading West from the North part of the main North-South road in Stranglethorn.

I got this quest by saving Thorsen from two of Kurzen's men. The attack on Thorsen happened just East of the main North-South road where the road is closest to Kurzen's Compound.

When you enter STV, when you walk over the bridge and then turn right, don't turn left down the hill towards the cemetary.&nbsp Dorgen is located by following the path up round the end of the valley, right at the back of the camp.

The rebel camp is west of the main road to duskwood just before you get in to duskwood. You can't see it on the main map, but you can see it a little bit on the mini map. If you walk the path you can't miss it.

you have to follow him until he gets attacked by a couple of guys south of camp.&nbsp After you save him from the attack, he gives the quest.

I got there at 11:01 and he was just standing around. waited until 11:17 then he started to patrol.

Well, his patrolling is not based on a certain time as the top of the hour came and went.I suspect that people talking to him puts him into pause mode, just as a travelling vendor works.

The definitely need a small pond nearby so you can fish or something while waiting.

The first time i lost him and he died. The time between the first patrol and the second patrol was exactly 30 mins for me.

A good suggestion would be to wait for him to go on his walk a quarter before (:45) and a quarter after (:15) the hour. On 3 different times he started walking at 10:18am, 11:18am, 12:56pm server time. His duration maybe based on if he dies and/or when he returns back to town.

I have just got this quest now.&nbsp I am lvl 41 and just saw this NPC randomly fighting a Panther in the Jungle.&nbsp I kiled the panther and talked to the NPC and just told me it was dangerous and I should go.&nbsp He then ran away but I followed him he then met to Kurzon mobs which I killed the NPC then thanked me for saving him and when I talked to him then he had a quest.

It was exactly 22.00 when he departed on his patrol, so I assume he does this patrol every full (realtime) hour. Just follow him, wait until the two Kurzen Agents attack him (both lvl 33) and then kill them. You'll get the quest from Private Thorsen afterwards.

I had waited with him at the camp for about 15 minutes.&nbsp And then I gave up and just continued questing and on my way back to Rebel Camp from killing Colonel Kurzen, he was there being attacked by two kurzen agents and a panther.&nbsp So maybe I got lucky or he is supposed to appear there after you kill Colonel Kurzen.

Pvt. Thorsen made his move at 9:40 and 11:40 pm server time today on the Kael'thas server. Apparently your mileage may vary, but it seems like on the Kael'thas server he always makes his move at X:40.

i was walking out of camp, and i noticed that he was walking along the path behind me, when i saw him get attacked by the agents i decided to kill them for some experience. Then when i was done killing them, he offered this quest. I got a bit more experience than i expected to...

so im comming back from killing panthers and i find this human getting his butt kicked by 2 of his own kind he was almost dead but i managed to destroy the kurzen agents that were ganking him

i was just about to leave happily after saving his ass for nothing when i notice he has a quest for me but 1 second later he decided im no longer necessary and tryed to kill me, thats what i get for trying to help humans they are just unreliable, they are always backstabbing their allies.

if you are horde you are better off letting the kurzen guys kill him he justt pretends to be friendly while he needs help and turns against you when he is safe

I followed the Private out of the camp and down the hill. He turned left and stopped not too far from the road and killed a panther for good measure (I got a couple whacks in to help). Then he just stood there. On the hills up and to his left were two Kurzen agents that were probably supposed to attack the private but didn't do anything. They were both "green."

After standing there for a while, Thornsen turned around and walked back to camp.

What have I done wrong?
