Use the Small Brass Key to open Bookie Herod's Strongbox.

Description

Although no mention of Private Thorsen is found in these records, hidden within the binding of one of Herod's ledger books is a small, brass key.

And after further study of his notes, a few references to a "secure strongbox" are contained among various papers. The box is somewhere within the Stockpile - the cavern complex at the back of Kurzen's Compound.

If this secure strongbox is found, and the small brass key can open it, then perhaps the mystery behind Thorsen's detection will be revealed.

Enter the cave at 45,8.

Directions to the box:
Follow the tunnel.
At the first fork go right down the incline (left is a dead end).
Keep going forward, do not turn and go down into the cavern below.
You will run into a bunch of boxes. Look around, the chest is in with them.

As soon as you start seeing the Kurzen Elites, you'll see a ton of boxes and barrels.

They are the first bunch of boxes you come across. Look for the strongbox with a lock on it. It's different from all the rest in the bunch - can't miss it.

As a 38 druid, I stealthed through, hunched up in a corner, pulled 2 singles (which cleared the way) - grabbed the box and stealthed back out. Done.

Ok, those directions weren't too clear to me so I will try and straighten things out. Go into the cave and stick to the right wall, you dont need to turn just follow the curve of the cave. Just after a ramp down to the left, you will rind a room with a lot of crates with Elites and Witch Doctors, it is in there.

its on the way to the Colonel, down the right ramp. Its up on the platform on the right side of the tunnel.&nbsp My char. is looking straight at it.

Yea, don't try to sneak into the stockpile to do this quest as a 32 rogue. It really doesn't work out very well lol.

There is a 'camp' on the right of the cave as you head toward the back. Do not go down the ramp to the left. if you come to the archery range, you've passed it.

Hard to miss really: torches, lots of boxes and twice now a 'Solid Chest'. Check all items in that area. It looks like there are two quest items there.

just go on straight its at the end dont go into that way that goes more down hehe sorry sucky english you will see it its defended by like 4 or 5 kurzen
its worth the trouble just do it at level 35 with another level 35 you get a total of 6k exp (also from thoose speak with him) quests
You can choose out of 2 rewards 1 shoulder mail 170 armor and +11 stamina
and the other is feet for mage +some spirit stamina intell

I found the lockbox... in spirit form... it is just before the last torch and a witch doctor stands in front of it.

It is quite small and has crates on either side.

Hopefully that helps.

I totally agree, just follow the curve of the RIGHT WALL of the cave, and its in amoung many boxes and crates. There's a solid chest that spawns in amoung them as well...but don't be fooled, the chest your lookin for is a box lol, if you get both congrats!

The box coors are at 49,7 spot on and if you dnt have have coors then i suggest you download them for cosmos.com

When you get this quest you are given a key which opens an iron lockbox. This lockbox is located within the cave at the kurzen compound. The coords are 50,8. It's the big room with lots of boxes and barrels ,just before kurzen, The lockbox is really small so just mouse over everything and you'll find it.

Also be observant with the respawn cus else you might be jumped from behind. It's not very hard if u take one mob at a time, soloed it with my 36 hu mage.

As 37 priest this Q is piece of cake!
Just mind sooth and run past them! If you can find out you may die maybie 1 time at end just before the little chest! But this will take like 3 min´s !

This is a really tough quest to do, especially since they respawn in like 3 minutes, so if you don't kill the mob's right away, you will get caught from behind.
Don't forget that this is located in a cave.

Okay, probally been told and told again, you come pass the crossroad, the one going down to the archery part then one going to kurzen, stay on the path going to kurzen, it should be amongst the chests and crates on the right, theres usually 3 elite guards and one witchdoctor, and the the witchdoctor usually standing behind the chest.

For people that dont have cosmos, All your gonna want to do is Go in the the cave keep going straight forward till u hit crossroads one leading down and one leading up (to kurzen) go up just a little bit then u should hit a place with a cliff leading up the box will be up there..

Its at 49.7, if ur a rogue just use stealth didnt kill anything, only Blinded the Guy at the chest, used Vanish, stealthed out :)

i soloed this quest on a lvl 35 lock. its VERY simple just pay attention and pull people away from the group. follow the right side of cave, untill you come to a room with alot of boxes and crates. kill eveything that you see EXCEPt the last guy at end of tunnel. quest is simple and good XP. If you just watch your aggro, youll do fine on this quest.

You can stealth in I did this at lvl 37 druid shifted too cat form and stealthed all the way round and didnt have to fight anything till I got too the chest.&nbsp The easiest way too find it is Just stick too the right hand wall until you come too a load of boxes the co ord are 49.7

At the Northern part of the strip of supplies, by a crate with a net over it. It blends in like theosqube said, since it looks the same colour as the other boxes but is actually a different model.

solo'd it as a 36 rog. I stealthed to the area of the crates, found the strong box and stayed in that area. Sapped the witch doctor, gouged the elite, quickly clicked on the box and completed/accepted quest and vanished and left. Simple as that :)

Lol, this quest is easy as hell.
I went as a lvl 33 druid. There was 2 mobs guarding the chest. I pulled the one, which was lvl 37, and killed it. Then I pulled the other one, which was lvl 37 too, and killed that one.
Then I just took the quest, went cat form and prowled all my way out.

The Northern section of the compound has a cavern entrance. Once inside the general route goes counterclockwise until you reach a wide-open space in which the Box is at the back. Lots of MOBs that aggro in this confined space so bring some friends unless you can handle two or three LvL 35-38 mobs.

I just soloed it with a level 35 Priest. You gotta pick each guy off one by one, and make sure you don't aggro more than 2 or you're screwed. I just kept luring them in with Holy Fire, then SW: Pain, Mind Blast, Mind Flay, Mind Blast, etc. They will run away, so keep your finger in Mind Flay. Don't forget to bring tons of Mana pots. and drinks
