Back to Uldaman

Search for clues as to the current disposition of Talvash's necklace within Uldaman. The slain paladin he mentioned was the person who had it last.
Provided Item:
Talvash's Phial of Scrying

Description

A competitor of mine started a rumor that my necklace cursed the paladin. Needless to say, no one wants to buy cursed items from a jeweler.

<name>, I'll make you a deal - find the gems and I'll reassemble the necklace, so long as you'll advertise that I do NOT make cursed items!

Try looking for clues in Uldaman; maybe see if the paladin's body is down there, since he's the one who we know had it last! When you find the gems you should use this; it'll allow you to contact me here in Ironforge.

The body of the dead paladin is inside the Uldaman instance, close to the entrance.
When you first enter, the mini map shows you as being in a green area with two loops -- the dead paladin is in the second loop. Watch out for the pats.

The paladin is not far into the instance.&nbsp There is a point where you come into contact with many troggs, and the path is split so you can either go left or right twice.&nbsp The minimap shows a semi-"8" design, which is sideways.&nbsp The paladin is on the right side of the second loop as you pass through.&nbsp As mentioned previously, the paladin does appear on your minimap.&nbsp

I'm not sure what the "Dig Two" business is about but the paladin's body is found inside the Uldaman instance. It is in the NW corner of the first area called the "Hall of the Keepers."

His body has the yellow "?" above it and doesn't have to be searched. That is, you can take a beating while completing the quest. Just make sure you have room in your inventory for the "Bloodstained Journal" you get.

If you have made it as far as the big stone statue you are REAL close to the paladin.
He is just right around the corner and you do not need to use the scrying item yet.&nbsp That is for the next part of quest.&nbsp The Paladin should appear on your mini map and will have a ? above him.&nbsp

The paladin is not the stone thing, it is an undead close to it.

Within the instance there is a "Dig Two" .. however Aenara was correct when they posted his body is in the Hall of Keepers in the NW corner .. If you end up in Dig Two turn around (it's a dead end) and go back the other way. There are a few friendly NPC's in dig two.

40 rogue here, stealthed in along the edge and dropped down on the 2 guarding his corpse. Popped adrenaline rush and evasion, killed the healer bodyguard and got another elite add that apparently paths through there(not the ambusher), managed to kill the 2nd bodyguard (warrior type) and vanished at about 5% health. Then I looted easily.

Generally, if you're a hunter I'd suggest not running this instance unless you have friends or guildies who need this. The drop and the roll on items is virtually non-existent for hunters. I've run this 3 times with a 5 man and have won exactly 1 roll. Oh sure, stuff drops like crazy, it's just that for the hunter about all you get is what's needed to complete a quest. Random drops are not random, the game provides things to players as needed. Hunters don't need Uldaman and unless needed by others, have no business running this instance. It would be nice if this was known before peeps committed to running this.

I soloed this with my 43 rogue, didn't have to kill a single one.
But for the next part I think I will need a group.
