Find the Gems

Find the ruby, sapphire, and topaz that are scattered throughout Uldaman. Once acquired, contact Talvash del Kissel remotely by using the Phial of Scrying he previously gave you.

From the journal, you know...
* The ruby has been stashed in a barricaded Shadowforge area.
* The topaz has been hidden in an urn in one of the Trogg areas, near some Alliance dwarves.

* The sapphire has been claimed by Grimlok, the trogg leader.

Description

The paladin's journal has provided perhaps the only clues that Uldaman will yield as to the location of the necklace's gems. If the paladin's scribing remains accurate, then the Shadowforge dwarves and the troggs that vie for control of the dig site will need to be dealt with.

Armed with this knowledge, the search for the gems begins in earnest. When all the gems have been acquired, Talvash in Ironforge should be notified via the Phial of Scrying as per his instructions.

Do yourself a favor and use the scrying bowl before you kill the last boss: Archaedas. Else you're not on the quest and can't loot the quest item.

TOPAZ: In a "conspicuous urn" near the Alliance dwarves, Dig Two.

RUBY: In a "Shadowforge Crate," Dig Three (western side of the instance). Two Shadowforge Ambushers will show up (level 43 non-elite), but if you leave right after opening the crate they will be out of aggro range.

SAPPHIRE: Drops off of Grimlok, all the way in the NW corner of the instance... whom I killed before logging this quest. Sigh. Well, I can wait for the instance to reset, I suppose.

Just FYI... You can complete this quest ANYWHERE!&nbsp I left some of the gems at the bank.&nbsp After I had them all, I used the Phial of Scrying right at the bank in Stormwind.

I'we got this new phial... but the Gear Icon does not apear :S got all the Gems in inventory...

For all you that are having problems using your phial be sure that:
1. Have all three gems
2. Have the phial
3. Have all three gems and the phial in your inventory.

then open your inventory, right click on the phial
now left click on the ground somewhere.

Here's a cookie! You have just completed the quest!

(Please note that the orange pool is in no way related to this quest. That is for a different quest in Maraudon later on)

Once I collected the gems, I clicked on the scrying stuff and the bowl appeared.&nbsp Right click on the bowl and the quest completes.&nbsp
On to the next step....

Just go to the original questgiver, he has another quest called "Replacement Vial". Unfortunately, Anonymous does not seem to currently know about it.

Once I had the gems, I used the Phial of Scrying in the pool of water in the Mystic Ward of Ironforge.&nbsp Hope this helps!&nbsp I'm so tired now.&nbsp I'm so pissed I have to go back to Uldaman.

When you grab the Ruby it spawns bad guys all around you...three or four. If you have multple folks on the quest...take a break and rebuff etc before having the next person open the chest and get the ruby

You can get replacement viles form Tavlash.

The topaz is in the area where you get the medallion to kill Ilyana.

After you pick every gem up, use the bowl to communicate with the guy. Be careful and so it right away after you get the 3rd gem. The follow-up is to kill the big boss.

The Topaz drops in an urn, Behind the wierd looking dorfs, the sapphire drops off the Trogg boss, who is in the North West corner of the zone. The Ruby drops in a shadowforge area just south of the Trogg boss area, be careful when you open the chest a bunch of darkforge ambushers will get ya, roughly mid 40 elites.

Almost a solo for a rogue... You can get "Shattered Necklace Ruby" and "Shattered Necklace Topaz" without a problem but the other one is difficult because you must kill Grimlok to get it..

You need the shatter necklace and have to take it to tavish del kissel in IF before you can get quest from dead pally.
