Go out and kill 10 Stonesplinter Shaman and 10 Stonesplinter Bonesnappers. Let's see if you live up to your reputation, Trogg-Slayer.

It is much easier to quest on the island rather than in the Valley. For people without coord addons, this location is on the northern most island in the water (The Loch). The uglies you're are looking for are on the southern most area of the island. If you are killing mobs and don't see it adding up you're in the wrong place.

The Shamans heal themselves and their friends, so if you have two on you and you see a green glow, interrupt or kill it before it does so. I had times when the Shaman would heal but still run for help as if it were dying. Multiple mobs are not fun.

A good quest to do with Bingles' Missing Supplies - kill two birds with one stone.

37,87 has to be the worst place to go.. it was a huge waste of time because theres only 3 or 4 in there and you have to kill about 10 trogs to get in..

another option for this quest (the previous too) is the northen most island in the lake, this has a trogg camp with skull thumpers and seers on the eastern half of the island and bonesnapers and shamans on the west.
there is also another quest you can try at the same time (i don't see it on this site and forget exact name) to collect stolen tools and suplies for a gnome. The gnome to start the quest is on the shore of the lake in the south eastern potion, just north of the excavation site. The 4 items as you would expect are in the middle of 4 different concentrations of troggs.

two notes are if you are going for the items you may want a friend as you will need to handle some adds and kill the spans fast enough that you will not get pops while looting the items.
and a hunter is handy so you don't get nessie agros while swimming to the island. (much safer swiming in from the east then west)

BRING A FRIEND! I was a level 15 mage, and I died 5 times just to kill 1 bonesnapper. With 1 other person this quest is cake, simply because you can handle adds.

After a while, I managed to split up the spawns in the southeast cave, and I was able to solo this with patience, but it would have been much easier with a friend.

I'd say at level 17-18 this becomes a lot easier to solo. At 15 it's rough.

Agree solo is capable just have to be smart. I solo'd it as a lvl 14 rogue.... yes i also died 4 times but you live and learn.. i also ran 3 others and barely escaped.

All in all it was worth the xp

I know the cave you are speaking of. To the south they are scarce, I would recommend searching far north for them instead.

The northern island is not too hard for a 15 priest. Just be patient and careful with your pulls. It would be best to move in from the water's edge toward the encampments, so you can retreat to the water if you get mobbed.

Bingle's tools are small and hard to find without going right into the camps, so kill everything before moving in to collect the items. You'll fulfill "In Defense of the King's Lands" in no time while collecting Bingle's tools.

In the larger cave during this quest were you'll find the shamans and bonesnappers, there's a couple of unique troggs up on a ledge (if you're below the ledge, that is, which I think is where you'll first see them). I can't remember their names for the life of me, but ones a level 15 and the other a 17. Me and another guy that I was partying with (he a lvl 18 mage and I a lvl 16 priest) got one green drop from one of these uglies. Also, decent experience in this cave and good for linen!

and like what the others have been saying... PARTY UP WITH AT LEAST ONE OTHER PERSON! :)

The gnome Bingle crashed his flyer on the shore of the Loch. The troggs stole 4 items that are scattered on the northern 2 islands.

Bring a friend. I'm trying it with my 14 warrior, and it's a slow, painful process.

You're much better off using the nothernmost island, because only 4 of either the shaman or bonesnappers spawn in the valley in the SMALL cave. Again, best bet is to use the northernmost Island.
