Mithril Coif (2)
Ornate Mithril Shoulder

Description

It seems as if master had this planned from the start. I was not taught to create the items which you learned to create and you were not taught the items which I learned to create.

The master is wise, <name>. We shall teach each other!

Show me how to make a mithril coif and ornate mithril shoulders and I shall show you how to create an ornate mithril helm.

The other three pieces of Ornate Mithril plate are learned from this NPC:

http://classicdb.ch/?npc=7802

Since you technically need his recipes to complete these quests, it's fair to call his quests a prereq.

Nevertheless, carefully consider the cost of all three quests in this line and check the AH for which path is cheaper (buying the armor vs making the armor yourself)

All told you need:

Mithril Coif x2
Ornate Mithril Shoulder
Heavy Mithril Breastplate x2
Ornate Mithril Gloves
Heavy Mithril Boots x2
Ornate Mithril Pants

To make all the armor yourself you need the total ingredients listed here:

Mithril Bar x106
Truesilver Bar x 3
Mageweave Cloth x 18
Thick Leather x 14
Solid Grinding Stone x 3

I strongly suggest you do the math for your realm's AH prices. Often it is significantly cheaper to buy the armor pieces than to make it yourself.

I for one say that the 120 mithril 40 iron, 5 truesilver, and 4 citrine are worth what galvan gives, That trinket summons a 1h hammer which is GREAT for a level 40. only problem is you probably wont have enough mithril when you are 40 to get it. I still love the trinket though

Best place to mine LARGE amounts of Mithril are in Badlands (around the map rim) and also in Tanaris. If you are really getting desperate try Thousand Needles. Hope this helps.

I was so sure I was going about this in an orderly fashion and I have found that I missed something.&nbsp I have the plans for the pants, I have the plans for the shoulders, but I don't have the plans for the coif..or the boots...what did I miss?&nbsp I thought I finished the set in STV the dwarf guy there gave me my trinket and I thought that was it?&nbsp HELP!&nbsp Where do I get the plans for the Coif and the Boots?

You need to get the recipes from the trainer in STV, first, Galvan the Ancient, I believe. You get the quest from the Mithril Order. He teaches you to make three Ornate Mithril Items, and this NPC knows the other three.

Once you complete the three quests in STV for Galvan. After that, you can do these.

Haha, no you don't need to run your puny little alliance character into Orgrimmar.&nbsp This is part of the big Blacksmithing chain.&nbsp It should be near the artisan blacksmith in one of your major cities, likely Ironforge.&nbsp This "Ox" is a Tauren who hangs out around all the blacksmiths and tells you about the Mithril Order once you're good enough.&nbsp You should have someone of your own somewhere.

I just completed Good Head on Your Shoulders and all I got was 3900 exp--no Ornate Mithril Helm plans reward.

And the best place IMO to farm Mithril is the Badlands--plenty of Mithril and Iron.&nbsp Watch out for gankers in the souther Ogre caves, though...
