The Mithril Order

Speak with Galvan the Ancient in Stranglethorn Vale.
Mithril Pendant
Provided Item:
Mithril Pendant

Description

Most of our recruits never make it to Booty Bay, <name>. The shine of the insignia is enough to trigger the loot lust in even the staunchest of blacksmiths. Fools they be, as the insignia is a drop in the bucket compared to the wealth of items you'll see!

Find Galvan the Ancient and show him this pin. His residence is far to the north, between Zul Gurub and the Mosh'Ogg ogre mound.

I will keep this simple: You need to complete Galvan's three quests in order to be sent to Trenton Lighthammer next at Gadgetzan, who will -in turn- teach you how to make the three Mithril items required to complete the Armorsmith quest.

1st Quest (Smelt on-Smelt Off):

Iron Bar x 40
Mithril Bar X40

2nd Quest (The Art of the Imbue):

Mithril Bar x40
Citrine x4

3rd Quest (The Great Silver Deceiver)

Mithril bar x40
Truesilver Bar X5
---------------------------
GRAND TOTAL:

Mithril Bar x120
Iron bar x40
Truesilver Bar x5
Citrine x4

...Best of luck and loads of patience.

Coords confirmed: 50,20. If you don't use coords, look on your STV map--draw a line north from the little cave image at Mosh'Ogg and another one east from Venture Co. Base Camp, and where they intersect, he's there.

He is located (on the map) under the road leading into Zul'Gurub. If you are facing the entrance with the level ?? Trolls, he is to the right of them. Don't make the same mistake I made thinking he is located past them up the stairs. It's fun having enemies hit you for over 1000 without criticals. LOL!

1st see Hank The Hammer in Stormwind(https://classicdb.ch/?m=1711). He gives you an easy quest, which when completed, gave me Plans: Golden Scale Gauntlets and sent me to Booty Bay on the Quest: In Search of Galvan.

That is how you get the ball rolling.

Ok I started this quest in SW at Hank the Hammer and made the 6 golden scale bracers he gave the plans and the insignia and sent me to Booty Bay to talk to McGavan. I get there and show him the insignia and he say's Find Galvan the Ancient and show him this pin. His residence is far to the north, between Zul Gurub and the Mosh'Ogg ogre mound.

I run off and go to talk to Galvan the Ancient. I find him but he has a gey question mark over his head and he wants the Mithril Pendent but I dont have it on me.

Is this what McGavan gave me because I dont have any pin or pendent on me. I went back to him to see if I missed something and he wont talk to me know.

I am a lvl 43 Warrior with 230 Blacksmithing

Am I missing something?

In order to start this chain of quests, the Alliance must first complete:
(Quest #2758) requires in total 30 steel bars + 36 heavy stones.

The Horde must complete this quest first:
(Quest #2756) requires 120 steel bars + 12 heavy stones + 16 solid stones.

Now, assuming the blacksmith is also a miner, all iron and stones are free. However, given that coal is sold for ~5 silver for 1 (4.5 silver at honored), the Alliance cost is ~1.5 gold whilst the Horde cost is ~6 gold.

This just seems a little unfair.
