Reclaiming Goods

Search the crates and barrels at the coastal Murloc camps.

Description

Not long ago a merchant vessel, the Blind Princess, was raided by Murlocs. Although the ship escaped intact, much of its cargo was dragged overboard by the creatures, including a very valuable statuette of Terenas Menethil. We want that statuette recovered.

Search the coastal Murloc hovels for crates, barrels and other evidence of lost cargo. Find the Menethil Statuette and return it to me.

The crate is at the first village (where you killed merlocs nearest the road). The barrel is at the 3rd (of 4) villiages as you proceed up the coast. The 4th villiage is full of the warriors and oracles. Be wary if you want to kill there as they are tightly packed and higher level w/ healers.

Keep in mind, however that you need to click the object in the second village as well to proceed. You get some dwarf cheese at that spot :-)

The objects open like treasure chests (timer) and are located between the huts. Very easy to spot.

Ok, so after looking and looking, i finally figured it out.
~ to complete this quest open the Battered Crate at 13,41. For thos w/o coords, when you run over the first wooden bridge leaving Menethil, turn right and you'll run past a small waterfall. You'll see the first Murloc camp ahead, kill them. The box is in the middle.
~ you are then told to find the Barrel. Go north from where you are, you'll find another murloc camp not far ahead. The barrel is in there, 13,37.
~ Again, same deal. Open the barrel and head north to the third camp 13,34 this time. For this one i didn't have to kill a single murloc. Open the object, complete, accept, and head back to Menethil to complete the next.
~ He doesn't wander much, i found him both times at the point where both roads meet the docks 8,58. Bing! 1500 exp for me at 24 for this last one. How simple was that?

I found this quest confusing because there are loads of locked footlockers all around the Murloc hovels in the area. Don't pay attention to those.

The first clue is in a larger crate at the second hovel north from town. You'll find clue #1 there, then go to the next hovel north to find clue #3, then the next hovel north to find the statuette.

Return to the quest giver on the docks at Menethil.

You'll need to find 3 pieces. The first is a Damaged Crate then a barrel then a half buried barrel or crate. The Damaged Crate was on the first murloc camp you came to and each next one had the piece you were looking for.

The quest unfolded differently for me.

When you search the first crate, you get a quest completion window, followed by a new quest window. So indeed all you need to finish this particular quest is to open the crate, which starts you off on the next quest, searching the barrel. The same happens after that, and you have to open another barrel, which gives you the statue. So in fact this is four mini-quests in one, the last quest being handing the statue over to the NPC who gave it you.

I had hard time with this one.
I had this quest and another quest (Quest: Apprentice's Duties) in my list and I finished that crocolisk-quest first and after that I started to follow coast-line back to Menethil Harbour.

I patrolled here and there between 2 murloc-camps killing tons of them, but I couldnt find any of those items.
There were few other players in that area too, so I thought They have took those items and I need to wait until They will respawn.

Finaly I had enough and decided to go to Menethill...and voila! there was the 1st item in murloc-camp near to graveyard. After rest was easy. :)

I was about to give up on finding because they just were not at the hovels that they were supposed to be at.&nbsp I checked my quest log one last time and then i looked at the minimap in the corner.&nbsp All of a sudden there was a marker where one of the boxes was supposed to be.&nbsp I went there and it was there.&nbsp Now trying to find the others...

I was also confused why I couldn't see the crates but the way it works is that you have to start from the southern camp and work your way north by the shore to the other camps.&nbsp

Thanks to new Blizzard changes, you don't search for long time. You see now yellow ? where you must need for quest, also on minimap, when you're near.
A bit funny because items has now ? above. Normally only NPC have it.

As a dwarf, I was able to find the crates on my minimap with Find Treasure.
Allthough, it's a few weeks since I did the quest, so I dont know wether they show up as a yellow "?" for everyone as of patch 2.4 or not..

Edit: They do show up as yellow "?", so don't bother looking at the coords because you don't have Find Treasure.

when u open the creates and barrels in the q you will complete the and get a new 1 if u dont get a new 1 try to open the barrel/crate again and u shjould get the new q..
