Bring Nekrum's Medallion to Thadius Grimshade in the Blasted Lands.

Description

I'll find out where your gryphon is, but first you have to do something for me. There's a troll in Zul'Farrak, Nekrum Gutchewer, who possesses a medallion I would very much like to study. Bring me that Medallion and I'll use my powers to find Sharpbeak.

Zul'Farrak is across the ocean to the west, in the desert of Tanaris.

Nekrum spawns in the final wave of the crowds that come up the big stairs after you free Bly from jail, but before you have to kill Bly.

Nekrum Gutchewer is the named mob that spawns with Shadowpriestess Sei'lun, yes. You gotta free Bly and fight until his wave comes at you, might as well sneak into a group to do Divino-matic.

Anyone that has been to ZF knows that there is a price to pay. For what ever reason the damage that one takes on one's armour is ridiculously high. I suggest that U take 1 or more peeps that can disarm and use a shield because if U dont then ... well - I had 3g 28s by the first turn.
Remember - a shield - maybe 2 on U and disarm when U get the chance.

Do you need someone to be doing the Rod Quest in order to free the prisoners? Or can u just kill the executioner and get his key and free them to start the battle?

I (54 warlock) was with 2 warriors, priest & a rogue when we unlocked the captives. Then my eyes popped out when I saw what was waiting for us at the bottom of those stairs. 50 trolls or more where down there and some where coming up the stairs to get us. I took one screenshot. This was the wildest battle yet for me. I died 3 times casting rain of fire on the mobs of mobs that came up the stairs to kill us but we finally looted Gutchewer’s corpse. It was total fun.

Oh no.. dont forget to loot after doing that funny masacre.

We killed him today and i forgot to loot his medaillon. Oh well, next time that shadowpriest could drop that cool troll mask thing. :D

And better ask your mage not to leave during this event. Its very though when doing it with only 3 people. Pala, Rogue and Priest. (but yay, we did it!)

after letting the captives out of the cages, if you turn on pvp before all the guys come up the stairs one of the npc's heals you during the battle. very useful...
