If you don't need the items, The Will of the Mountain Giant 2H axe sells the best to the vendor at over 3 gold.

To unlock this quest, you first have to complete:

-All the Muisek serie of quests, starting with:
http://classicdb.ch/?quest=3123

and

-The quest "Natural Materials":
http://classicdb.ch/?quest=3128

Once you finished and turned all those quests, this one will be available.

The Staff has now been buffed to be in line with others, stats are now

131-197 damage
(44.3 Damage per Second)
+12 Stamina
+24 Intellect

Definatly worth it now =)

Just a note - You cannot get this quest until the Musiek quest line (Starts with "Testing the Vessel" and ends with "Mountain Giant Musiek") and the seperate "Natural Materials" quest are both finished.

Blue items would be nice, but when I completed this series of quests at level 42/43, the second to the last quest got me 4700 exp, and this quest, just where he gives you the weapon, also gave me 4700 exp.

Now that is level based, but for everyone, the 2 handed axe sells for over 3g to a vendor. Thats not too shabby.

So I completed this quest and I got NO reward for it. I don't know if there was a glitch, but I'm kinda PO'd about it. Unless he gives me the weapon choice after I hit 50. I dunno. I have a better weapon, but it'd be nice to at least have the reward for doing that pain in the behind quest. :|

For those moaning about the rewards think of it this way yes, you already have better gear from instance runs - just pick the 2H Axe and vendor it for 3G

I just finished Mountain Giant Muisek, but i couldn't get this quest.
Is there an other prereq?

Edit: After I finished Natural Materials I could do this quest.

In the end of the double chainer quest there is some good rep, exp, and coinage at the end. Not bad if your already just grinding off those mobs in the first place. Hippos are great for completing the Natural Materials and good leather farming. Not too hard and never having to wait for them to respawn.

Did this at lvl 46ish, Druid.

A better alternative weapon for spell casters is the reward from Saving Yenniku in Stranglethorn Vale: Nimboya's Mystical Staff.
