Mountain Giant Muisek Vessel
Provided Item:
Mountain Giant Muisek Vessel

Description

The last task I will require of you is to travel to the northwest and find the final enemy.

The mountain giants left the mountains to aid the night elves when the burning legion appeared in the world. You will know them by their massive size and the way the ground begins to shake as you travel along their rocky terrain.

I am eager to harness power of that size. Kill 7 mountain giants, then use the muisek vessel to capture their powerful muisek.

This quest is soloable by anyone --
It stacks with this quest: https://classicdb.ch/quest=24464

You get a zapper that turns then into non-elites.

Bring some food if you're a melee class, they have a lot of armour and HP.

You'll find the giants way in the northwest. They are south of the harpy area. They are level 48-50 elite, so be ready for a fight. My level 53 shaman was able to solo this one.

Note that the darker colored giants use a ranged attack, so don't try to pull them.

pair this quest with the two that you're given when you talk to the gun-zapper guy.&nbsp Zapped Giants, and Fuel for Zapping.&nbsp go back on the path and follow it north, until you can get to, well, right above the "w" in "twin colossals."&nbsp you'll find your muisek'able giants there.&nbsp once you get your seven, backtrack to the coast, straight west of where you were.&nbsp (don't jump off the cliffs, but at level 40s, you should know this by now.)&nbsp kill the rest of the giants there, for the next 8 or so, and kill off the elementals you need for your "fuel for zapping" quests.&nbsp the shrinker made this soloable for me as lvl 46 'lock.&nbsp used vw and once he had aggro dot'd em and took them down fast.&nbsp
these three quests give off tons of xp.&nbsp it's very worth your time.&nbsp i was getting 600+ rested xp off each kill.&nbsp and the rewards are decent too ^_^

You don't get any extra experience for killing the giants while they're big and elite, so you might as well zap them since it halves their HP.

The following tips are suggested as a means for clearing this (final) quest:

1. Begin the quest "Zapped Giants" from the goblin on the west coast of Feralas.&nbsp He can be found at approximately 44, 43, using either the Cosmos mod or the Cartographer.

2. Place the zapper he gives you, and the muisek collection jar, on your hotkey bar.&nbsp I realize this seems ridiculous, especially if you're a druid, but it will help.

3. Head to approximately 38, 25 on your map - this is a relatively safe spot to scout giants.

4. Finally, use the zapper on the giants if you're a rogue or a druid, this WILL take you out of stealth.&nbsp Just beat up on it until it dies, and then capture it with the muisek jar.

- Note: If you don't want to go through the trouble of travel, this quest is remarkably easy at 52 - the giants don't even *feel* elite, though they do tend to have twice the HP they do when zapped.

Enjoy!

Ok, I didn't have the co-ord thing either... so I went and downloaded the stupid thing. The giants are in the following place:&nbsp
Just below the first Colossal you come to is a small round lake. When you get right next to it, hang a hard left turn and go up the hill where the blue crystals grow out of the rocks... you cant miss those bohemuths. :)&nbsp ENJOY!

I can't stress enough the importance of doing this quest WITH the zapper!

Without zapper:&nbsp Group or wait until you're 55+.

With zapper: Solo (in my case, I did it at level 49 with a level 47 pet).

I recommend getting the zapper quest, but do this quest before doing the giants on the beach for the actual zapper quest.&nbsp That way, if anything goes wrong or you can't finish, you can abandon the zapper quest and get a fresh zapper at a later time/date.&nbsp If you run out of zapper time before you get all the Muisek, you're going to be screwed...

Ok, I don't have the cosmos coordinates, but if you click on each of the "Related mobs" above, it will give you a map of the zones and the places the mobs have been sighted as well as a list of reported drops off the mobs. Look in the north west corner of Feralas.

If you are gonna do this quest, be sure to pick up Zapped Giants too (Questgiver at 44,43)..
Use Zorbin's Ultra-Shrinker to make the giants "non-elite", kill them, take loot and use the muisek thing..
If you are doing it like this, you don't even have to kill any elites :)

Solo'd it at 47, (got 48 halfway through)

The Landwalkers have a ranged attack that hurts almost as much as the Cliff Giants clubs!

As a warlock, i Basically just used fear and shadowbolts, while my succubus+Dark pact kept my mana going and took out any adds from the bears/monkeys/wolves that wander/spawn around the giants.

Did this quest today.
You can zap them first and then still harvest their muisek.
You just have to do it with the righ ones.
Don't kill the ones one the beach, kill the ones that are hanging out at the twin colossals instead.

I soloed 3 of em as a 47 hunter (land walkers). Best thing for hunter is viper sting to drain his mana so he doesnt medicate up. Find a location and clear agro before he comes. then wait and use track elements to find em on ur mini map. gl

I was able to solo this quest. I was a level 48 shaman. Make sure you only attack the level 48 elite Land Walkers. They are much easier to kill. The Cliff Giants are level 49/50 elite and they have a stun attack that can be tough. Every Cliff Giant I killed brought me down to almost zero mana and low health. I had to use my LHW spell a couple time each fight. The Land Walkers I could do with no healing and would usually have about 30% health left.

I also did this while rested, and got 1140xp from each 49elite kill. :)

Solo'ed this at 50 as a mage. The cliff giants are easier than the land walkers despite level. Whilst the cliff giants are melee the other are ranged attack. With melee i can freeze, slow down with cone of cold etc.

did this quest alone on lvl52 (shaman) and I found it easier to kill those lvl50 cliff giants than lvl48 landwalkers. I only got stunned once when I had 2 cliff giants on me. Landwalkers make more dmg also, well at least it felt like it since against them I had to heal myself and against cliff giants I didn't :o
