The Flawless Flame

Collect 4 Hearts of Flame and 4 globes of Golem Oil and return the items to Kalaran Windblade.

Description

You have made the right decision, <name>.

We must strike where we will do the most damage: the four sentry towers.

With the four towers in flames, we can initiate an offensive before they have time to react.

You will need the proper tool to set the towers ablaze. To make the tool requires some materials.

Bring me four hearts of flame and four golem oil and I shall craft the torch of flawless flame.

The golems and elementals in these lands should be your first target.

Best mobs to kill for this is actually the Magma Elementals and such. At first I thought that the Hearts of Flame only dropped from Fire Elementals and Golem Oil only from the Heavy War Golems, but the Magma Elementals drop both. Just got one of each from one mob.. Go firgure :-)

You can find a lot of these guys down in the Cauldron in the Searing George rather than everywhere around. Inside there are also a bunch of other mobs that you need for other quests, so it's good to get it all in one shot.

41,57 in searing gorge, you have to go down but its only 45 and 45, some 47 golems with even lower hp then the lower lvl enemies.&nbsp Got a [Heart of Flame] on the first drop from a Inferno Elemental.

Hehe, what the confusion was here I believe is just people mistaking [Heart of Fire] with [Heart of Flame].... [Heart of Flame] is the quest item require to complete this quest, and it is found on the elementals in the Searing Gorge. Where as the [Heart of Fire] is found on all Fire Elementals thoughout the WoW world - it is a rare drop thats used for elemental leatherworking. Good luck.

I got all mine on the the first 4
Magma Elementals drop both,
the little Inferno things drop heart of flame
and Heavy War Golem drops the oil.

I went into the Cauldron to do mine.

For the Heart of Fire's, go to the cauldron and kill the Magma and other elementals there, The Magma's can't drop it, but they can respawn into ones that do.

blaze and infernal elementals drop these, howeven I THINK you must stand IN the lavapit whe nyou kill them for them to drop these Heart of the flame.

We killed many outside the lava pit and got no drops but when we stood in the lava pit and killed them we got many more drops.

I hope someone can comfirm this.

Either it was weird luck, or the droprate in the Cauldron is much much higher but:

I killed 10 infernals outside the cauldron and got 1 of the flames. Then I went down the cauldron and killed 3 infernals and got one from everyone!

Thus I suggest you try to kill the infernals in the Cauldron, not outside it, unless you want to wait forever.

i got the 4 off of 9 kills in the southwestern section of sering gorge.&nbsp all drops were off of infernoes or somesuch.&nbsp But they all dropped near the entrence to blackrock.

We had trouble finding the flaming guys, let alone getting drops. Gave up and went back the next day. The flaming guys we needed had spawned in each of the pools in the sw ... were the other guys were the night before. So, yes kill the ones you don't need ... eventually they will respawn into the ones you do... :)

there is no specific way to get these items needed.&nbsp I did this quest a week ago and got barely anything.&nbsp Now all of a sudden im getting everything after just a few kills.&nbsp I have 3/4 heart of flames and 4/4 of the burning oil.&nbsp

Got thise quest on lvl 48, did it at 53, cause I already tried it at 48, i killed about 10 of them and not a single drop. I think the droprate is around 20%, killed 15, had only one, then 3 in a row. just kill the magma's they respawn as Fire Elementals

I can confirm that Magma Elementals do drop Heart of Flame in fact I have recieved as many of them as from the Burning Elementals, which is one.

I did like 20 min of The cauldron slaughtering every elemental i came upon... seeing that i only read the first 5 comments here... The only ones that actually give u the heart of flame are the inferno fire dudes. I did like 30 blazing fire elementals but noon dropped... Maybe just bad luck but would leave them alone. The funny part is that even b4 i got my first flame i found a #$%^load of heart of fire and elemental fire =). Keep it in mind that the inferno elemental's drop best!

I did this real quick. Magma Elementals drop both items. You can hunt Fire and Blazing Elementals but Magma's seemed to have a higher drop rate as well.

I've killed 2 of those flame thingies in their lava pits, both dropped hearts of flame. Killed 2 outside lava pits now, no hearts. I think there's a parrent. Oh, and it's helluva lot easier to do the golem oil part along with Curse These Fat Fingers, if someone hasn't already mentioned it above.

For the oils I had to kill about 5 Heavy War Golems, for the Heart of Flames I had to kill about 10 magma elementals - it's roughly a 50% drop rate.

I just did this quest and got the heart of flame in the cauldron. Kill the blazing and magma elementals. They both drop the hearts of flame. Have to have patience with this quest.

Don't confuse the Heart if FLAME (quest item) with the Heart of FIRE (reagent). If you're killing fire elementals you'll likely get some of both on this quest.

I got the parts for this quest off Heavy War Golems (was killing them for a quest anyways) and Magma Elementals (the black and orange rocky guys), who seem to be immune to electrical/Nature damage (my sword has an electrical proc, but they were immune). Had to kill a lot of Magma and Inferno elementals to get the 4 Hearts of Flame (also go 2 Hearts of Fire and some Elemental Fires as well as lots of burning pitch).

The Oil was easy to get, but i had to kill 49 elementals before i got all 4 hearts of flame.

though the 4000xp and 1.4 gold was worth it.

the golem oil is very easy to get off those heavy war golems but the heart of flames only seem to drop off those inferno elementals. i tried killing both those and the weaker 45 versions. you can make the inferno elementals spawn by killing the magma elementals in those little pits of lava. near the blackrock mountain there are 3 or 4 good spots u can do this.

The Golem Oil is easy to find just kill the Golems and Elemental things next to where the quest is given but for the Heart of Flame seems you need to find Blazing Elementals I killed tons of things before I finally was down in the lava and found the mob that droped.

Exp reward for quest was 4400 exp

Aight i read most of the thread, and iv noticed da best way is to always look at da bottom cos someone sums it up. basically the drop rate is crap outside the cauldron. So what you do is go in the cauldron and kill the fire elements, magmas dont drop it, only the infernal and blazing do... If there arent any, then kill the magmas and their is a basically 50% chance that a blazing or infernal will spawn in its place... Out of three killed in the cauldron so far i have got 2 drops

I had gotten 2 previously through killing several of the elementals and then I read the comment about standing in the lava.&nbsp I had a hard time getting the item to drop UNTIL I stood in the lava when I made my death blow.&nbsp The last 2 dropped 100% for me.&nbsp Could be a fluke, but is worth trying.

Also I was outside the cauldron, but I doubt that makes much a difference.
