Gnome Engineering

If you wish to learn more about Gnome Engineering, take the Manual of Engineering Disciplines to Oglethorpe Obnoticus in Booty Bay.
Manual of Engineering Disciplines
Provided Item:
Manual of Engineering Disciplines

Description

Engineering at the expert level breaks into two disciplines: gnome and goblin. While I think it is a waste, you should be aware of gnome specialization. They make items and gadgets that claim to change the world, but rarely work.

<name>, read this manual. If you wish to learn how to make metal paper weights, then take the manual to Oglethorpe Obnoticus in Booty Bay. Remember - membership is permanent and prevents joining the other discipline, so make sure you are sure before finishing his task.

As of Version 1.7, the master engineer, who will raise your skill level from 240 to 300, is Buzzek Bracketswing:

(NPC #8736) is the goblin standing next to the Gadgetzen mailbox.

You must be a level 35 with 200 engineering skill before you can raise your engineering skill from expert to artisan.

I just learned artisan engineering without knowing that i had to learn my specialty before that, my skill is at 210 right now and i cant see any quests being given for gnomish or goblin engineering. Did I miss my chance or am i just missing something?

No, once u sign up for one kind of engineering you're stuck with it. So you wouldn't be able to change to turn in the book as goblin. But if you mean if they give you the same book, I'm not sure, never read them. =S
